  1. Er--don't they think putting out covers, like in cricket and other big football matches, is an option. It would be a saviour would it not?
  2. Absolutely disgraceful, patronising and distasteful. By attempting to ignore us they also seek to diminish the courage, skill and hard work our club has gone through and initiated to get where we are. As if stuffing us back in the Highland League bottle will actually bring it about and make us fade away. What archaic idiots. Their thinking is Neanderthal, petty and a vain attempt to belittle us . They want to show their disbelief at our successes, and their fear of this feisty club that they dare not give credit to in case we continue to humble and humiliate the much larger clubs against which we play with our dangerous,never-say-die attitude on the park and in the boardroom. Angry in Canada.
  3. Perf by name and perf post by inclination !
  4. Why would they be scared to shoot? If they don't shoot they don't score but if they try there is always a good chance of the ball going in......? How did Richie do? As I said once before , against Stranraer the team had better be peppering their goal and going for it from the start. Strannie have absolutely nothing to lose if THEY go for it and everything to gain from the opposite. If both teams "go for it" it should be a great game, which is what the fans want but also the better team (ICT) should win..
  5. Far too many shots cracked TOO HIGH according to the text rolling updates. What a waste of a chance. I have criticised this before but obviously this ball control and head-down approach needs emphasizing. More training needed?
  6. Donview--I knew that. But it just slipped my mind... Er--who is Jose Mourinho anyway--is he in the footie business? Not a John Hughes clone by any chance? Banging the head happened to me out in the field a lot when I was working, before retiring. Wearing a cap will do that to you--the brim obscures the overhangs, metal stanchions sticking out, etc. That's why construction guys wear hard hats I guess. It's also the bosses of the Universe trying to knock some sense into you as well.. In my case they are still trying. Problem is I just forget what they are telling me on a day-to-day basis.
  7. The more the merrier.
  8. Och Mantis, You're so nice. Bless your wee heart. BUt--er--I hav ebeen clicking on it now for five minutes but I can't seem to get it to run. Are you sure it's a video....?
  9. What with the Straneraer game being a virtual freebie and, hopefully, thus with a big crowd, and the final and the Scottish cup looming up. ICT are going to do quite well financially. All we need now is a TV contract......sigh! Wouldn't that be nice for the club? Fantastic.
  10. Thank you very much Yngwie. Nowadays we can't even get a photo let alone a video here overseas. Much appreciated. Weekend fix now in .Wheee!
  11. Thanks , Yngwie--that's the first video I have seen of the match. That pitch may have been the great leveller but we can't honestly say that ICT's play was slick and quick. The team looked tired, actuellement. Strannie tired in the second half maybe and allowed ICT to get a grip. Thank goodness. We have the replay though, so let's see what happens. All credit to Stranraer for a spirited display and some neat enough footie though. I really don't see them winning at Tulloch and think that there may be quite a high score by tea time. Once bitten tice shy ---I hope. cheers Uncle Scarlet.
  12. Having just read the HIBS thread on Rig's post, even I was depressed. Glory and stability in the past ....to this kind of depression and back-biting. It's fine having a short fuse as TB is reputed to have but showing it to the players is not the way to go for a new manager --he will lose them. A club that is down, with players who are also emotionally drained by defeat after defeat, needs encouragement and help. Now he has Malpas with him they had better work very hard together and use praise and encouragement from now on or this team will be a basket case before the end of the season. Hearts have had a torrid time of it but their spirit is still "tails-up" and they still have a bright future. What was it that was so great about TB here at ICT ? Was it the great help he got from his support staff. the potentially good players he brought in from England, or do :clapping:es he really have the right stuff. All I can opine is that the way he "arranged" his departure left me cold as ice and a man of real character would not only have acted differently but been much fairer to and honest with the Chairman of ICT. 'Nuff said. He made his bed and now he will have to lie on it. Poor Hibs! They picked the wrong man --Their loss is our gain. John Hughes has twice the personality and character.
  13. I'm closer to the end of my tenure on this planet than starting out so.... I don't want to speak ill of the dead...... . But, T B , your glory days may be over because if you can't keep the heed , like oor John does so well amidst lots of upbeat and enthusiastic comments praising our lads and the club, then you won't last the pace beyond the end of this season. Sad to say for you, it 's appearing more and more as if you've done our club a big favour by departing earlier than we had anticipated. But going to a club on the hard downward slide without the patience and requisite motivational skills needed to help them over the hump you may end up on the scrap heap yourself instead of the lads who may all of them be trying their best.
  14. Cor Blimey--I am in another time warp.
  15. 80,000 pounds is an incredible amount of money to pay out ....what gives?
  16. Head Butt. But on the head.... Well, Roarer, I,m a really modest guy and I always like to keep-a-brest of events. So it's O.K if you butt-er me up, whiles.
  17. There are not going to be any easy games from now on I don't think. The team has to be up for it and go for it right from the start, I think.
  18. Crowd at Stranraer was 722. ICT had 10 corners to Stranraer's 0. Is that significant.?
  19. Why not contact County and offer to rent out some caravans?
  20. Head butt?
  21. Oh my goodness, SBD. Don't you feel a wee bit sheepish for feeling that way about the twa Dons. Then just convert them to a better team.
  22. Have a good one Scotty. Remember you said that you were sitting at the fireside watching the Hearts match on T V. Well I saw your name right beside that of Don on the bus list prior to the match and with my bleary eyes reflecting incorrect images more often than not, then please forgive me for assuming that I could also see you on the video.
  23. Or more if the team play like they have done recently.
