  1. Morgan & if he's not going to play put Zander out on loan.
  2. 2 defenders please with at least 1 who can stand up and take control of the back line. Keeper is ok - he has just looked a bit shakey as those in front of him have been a bit rubbish.
  3. he didn't he's injured you muppet
  4. here here scotty. My only reason against the appointment of Brew is my view that he is a poor manager and will not succeed. If he does, even playing poor football, then great - I just think that the risk of going with him, based on his Dundee Utd experience is huge and not one I want to take. The board seem to have had an agenda from day one (or before) which if Brew fails, they must pay for with their jobs.
  5. I'm not playing if Warnock is not manager!
  6. And I don?t disagree, it is just that some people have different priorities than others. When I lived in Scotland I used to drive from Glasgow and back to watch every home game. Now I just roll out of bed and boot up the laptop to listen. It is down to what you think the experience you will get from your engagement with ICT. With Brewster?s appointment I see the value of my engagement decreasing and thus my willingness to go out of my way to follow diminishing. Don?t get me wrong, I would love to be proven wrong and if we go on a fantastic winning streak spanking all and sundry I will happily state my stupidity and resume listening at stupid o?clock? I just think that with Brewster at the helm this isn?t going to happen.
  7. Here is another thought that I?ve not heard stated ? we desperately need an experienced centre back who can organise and sort out our team. How do the board think that bringing in Brewster will facilitate this: who is he going to sign? At best some duffer from his network ? Aberdeen, Dundee Utd, Greek Side, Killy ? really that is not the answer, if they were any good they would be playing for these teams. Again I think we have been shafted on this. Call me cynical but I don?t hold out much hope for us landing a new defender inside the window and that will give Brewster the perfect excuse when he fails to deliver.
  8. It's hard for me to comment with the same conviction as I live so far away. In the past I have travelled many a mile, mainly to away games, but much to my girlfriends incomprehension I set my alarm and listen to all the Caley games on the internet, when not blocked or not too drunk. So if voting with my feet means that I have less motivation to drag myself out of bed to listen ? then the answer is yes. Will I stop supporting Caley ? no, will I stop reading all the online newspapers to see how we have done and whether one paper reports us as being slightly better than another ? no. I am a fan, I only support one team and only ever will. Have I been drinking ? yes, it?s Friday night FFS, but I am clear in my view, for the first time ever I think we have taken a step back (10CC was a step sideways in my view) and I fear for what will happen. Not happy, disillusioned and really a bit disconsolate. Perhaps I will get a good nights sleep on a Saturday night now - but I doubt it - it's in the blood!
  9. sorry to say but my views on this are clear - it is a ******* disgrace that he is coming back and a huge lack of respect and ambition by the board in appointing him. They say better the devil you know, but Brewster as a manager is the devil - he has been proven to be **** and i feel we will be much worse off because of this. Not happy - doesn't come close to describing how I feel. :33:
  10. "Not sure if I have selective memory" covers me for all slip ups :004: Team he supported as a boy v bigger and better things, possibly a bit of both, but hey still don't want him back.
  11. Not sure if I have selective memory but my recollection of the Brew era was that even though we were fitter as a team Brew was tactically inept, managed through himself as a player, used subs in the 88th minute and the football we played was generally of a poor quality (except for a great spanking of Hibs in the last ICT game I saw). Our record under Brew was decent, I?ll give him that but I was always concerned with what would happen when he hung up his boots. I think that Brews United escapade showed exactly what we would get when that happened. It showed that Brew the manager was nothing without Brew the player. I?m a big believer that you should never go back. Brew left us for bigger and better things, he made that clear. For that I cannot forgive him and won?t welcome him back. As for Warnock ? maybe?s aye maybe?s no. Never struck me as the best manager in the world but then again he certainly brings experience to the table. I?d give him a shot before any of the other misfits mentioned. Although the Pressley shout as player manager could sort out our defensive issues in one.
  12. Butcher at Sydney FC was atrocious.. nuf said! :018:
  13. Top vids - great to see last years goals as I only saw the ones against the OF on jumpy Chinese internet tv.
  14. Based on the courier that makes 8 potential trialists... 4 of which are strikers. I'm guessing we are looking for 1 or 2 strikers + 1 or 2 defenders.
  15. 4 are named on official site click me 3 strikers (including Niculae & 1 ex Man U reserve who can also play at right back) + a youth keeper.
  16. There is nothing more concrete in any of the articles today than available yesterday. We have made him an offer, he is thinking about it... he may sign, he may not. The article in the P&J is just a rehash of comments made yesterday with a "hopes fading slant" I personally doubt that he will sign (ever the pessimist) but you never know.
  17. says he's a midfielder (Mittelfeld) rather than a striker, and with Dean McDonald not exactly being prolific, I don't see these 2 being a replacement for what we are losing (a 20 goal a season striker) - then again Dargo wasn't prolific when he arrived to us so I'll be happy when these 2 knock in 20 goals each this season.
  18. thought the makeup of the bench was all wrong yesterday - it was set up for us to go 4-3-3 and chase the game, when if you play 4-5-1 you only need 1 striker as a sub... As for the Caff or no Caff question - I'd have put him on ahead of both strikers into a dual holding role with Duncan - if this was the case we wouldn't have lost. So as far as blame - sits squarely with CC & DP for this one I'm afraid. As long as they learn then that's good enough for me.
  19. If Hibs sell Brown & Thomson for 4.5M (which I assume is the reason they want Black) then 200-250k is a bit cheap for one of our best midfielders who is a Scotland B cap.

    Liam Keogh

think this is a bit of **** business, Liam has been unlucky with injury in the last 2 seasons but still has the potential at 23 to be a very good midfielder. Thought we could have let him go on loan rather than just let him go. That said great bit of business by Heid.
  21. "Who's to say Dods thinking doesn't go along the lines of 'Hmmmmmmm, if we put Utd out, bang goes any chance I've got of European football next season. " Do you really think he was thinking about Europe when he signed for Dundee United, FFS it's Dundee United, they have no chance of getting to Europe not even for their holidays.
  22. you f'in dancer - great result to bust our ***** run
  23. I'm going to take photos of all my shirts tonight - have several recent ICT and one for the mighty Vietnam!
  24. I have always had problems with the financial viability of an independent Scotland. Answers on a postcard for the following: Most of the big companies in Scotland (RBS, ScottishPower, etc) are listed on the FTSE and are owned by their shareholders who are not necessarily Scottish. If Scotland becomes independent then what is to stop the big companies, which we are banking on to underpin the Scottish economy, relocating to England due to pressure from shareholders. 90% of the oil industry is in foreign ownership (i.e. not Scottish) and these companies’ UK head offices are in London. It is my understanding that tax is applied based on where your head office is, i.e. not Scotland. Finally, do you honestly believe that the English government will turn round and say that if Scotland votes for independence that they can keep all tax revenue from oil? Not a chance and without a large portion of it is independence still viable. Now just so you don’t all get angry with me, despite these concerns I have voted SNP in the past, call it heart overruling head.
  25. what's the scoop - we starting again??? come on the getitupye
