  1. Whatever rocks your boat.
  2. Which March? :017:
  3. Same here.....they just don't taste like they used too. Similar thread here...it seems it's down to not being allowed to half cook chips and not use dripping !!?? Could someone not introduce the 'Inverness Chip' ,half cooked in dripping, and register it with the EU? Bit like the Arbroath Smokie ? :024: You've hit the nail on the head there RNBCB, Chips will never taste the same so long as they're cooked in oil. Kirsty's in Kinmylies did a rare Fish Supper but they've changed hands as well.
  4. Oh Smee, stop sitting on the fence and tell us what you really think. :008:
  5. Sorry, I don't recognise the name but was probably nearer my brothers age. I'm only a whippersnapper @ 42.
  6. 4thStand: what was his name? CaleyD: Dad :018: Must try harder
  7. My humblest apologies luvvie, but if you reread your post there is a hint of implication there. If you had said canals I wouldn't have spoken but "other canals"?
  8. Furr wis she fae?
  9. Conversely, if we lose Hibs have a good chance of climbing above us. :024: ?20 on Craig Dargo to score the winner for ICT. :014:
  10. :021: Seems to be up for it after his loan.
  11. I think you may find that more folk are attending games now than the preceding 20 years. 300 for Clach is a low figure but given the option of SFL or SPL games there is much more competition. :007: Got another idea. Why doesn't Mr Soho McGregor spend his money at Grant St and give us all an Inverness SPL Derby? :021:
  12. I suspect Gretna regret giving anyone a lenthy and/or lucrative contract at the moment. :017:
  13. Oh yes, please God. Much gloating on P&B after that, eh?
  14. Grants of Dornoch Black Pudding, mmmmmmmmmmm :003: Stornaway pud is very good, but not quite there.
  15. Don't tell anyone, please. :023:
  16. If you don't know, why mention it? Anyway I'm reliably informed he knew them both personally. :016:
  17. I was in his class. :hiding03:
  18. The Caledonian Canal was constructed under the watchful eye of Thomas Telford, not General Wade. Hence "Telford Street". It was also one of the last to be built as it was finished around the time that the Railways coming into being.
  19. Smith Avenue actually runs from Glenurquhart Road to the roundabout on Bruce Gardens wjhere it meets Maxwell Drive. You may be thinking of Ross Avenue (or maybe Harrowden Road or Perceval Road.) I haven't a clue about Culcabock apart from the likelihood that it's of Gaelic origin. There's a book about Gaelic placenames around Inverness by a BBC colleague of mine Roddy MacLean. As for the dualling of Laurel Avenue, that always was a mystery, but on the other hand it did have the beneficial effect of increasing the width of "No Man's Land" at the top end! :015: Smith Avenue at Google Earth 57o28'19.36"N, 4o14'13.56" There's a good chip shop at the bottom now in Argyle Car Sales old garage and a shop where their showroom was.
  20. I care. :blah01: Call me old fashioned but I think the champions of SFL1 should come up and 12th in SPL down, however a 16 team league would allow 2 up 2 down and would likely make for more competitive league. I don't give a feck for the Self Preservation League rules. If a clubs ground is not up to "SPL" standards there must be other avenues than closing the door. The only adverse effect of this is that clubs with wealthy benefactors or a reasonable turnover from attendances, etc. could come into the SPL without having to upgrade their stadium, thereby allowing them to concentrate on their squads (is this not why we venture down to the game on Saturday, good football to entertain us?). I the long term those clubs will either slip away or invest in their customers experience. The whole "all seater" situation is a disgrace. :008: Rant over. :023:
  21. Is Grant St Park not available? :hiding03:
  22. I'd rather have competitive teams in the SPL as it makes the season's passing more enjoyable. If all you're interested in is the final placings at the end of the season, I'd say you're no better than the OF.
  23. A decent Forum with grown up posters. :tic01:
  24. Re: Kilmarnock Bid For Bayne Noel Hunt? Nuff said. :33:
  25. Wonder if Richie'll make an appearance? :023:
