  1. Hopefully only true fans will show up then. Tickets are ?10 for concessions, ?15 full price. I got some last week. Golly for MotM in this one.
  2. Skysports haven't even got us kicked off yet Yeah I noticed that, the county game took a while as well but thats on now. Dont get it any updates?

Does anyone recall rumours of Ann Gloag investing in ICT? I've been thinking about where the club is heading and where it may be, in say, ten years time. Will we be playing in the first division or the SPL. I personally am hopeful of the top tier expanding to 16 teams and ICT being one of them. Will our fanbase increase? Again I am hopeful that younger people will be attracted to the club and our fanbase will increase with time. This thread is purely hypothetical and I only post from sheer curiousity as to what other ICTFC fans registered on this website think what the future holds for ICT.
  4. Things don't sound so bad when you put it like that. Although i missed Airdrie, i've been to the other 5 league games (3 decent away performaces and 2 very poor home ones) and still haven't decided if this side is capable of making a challenge. My expectations are not especially high - i'd like to see us finishing in the top 3 and challenging for as long as we are able. The return of Imrie and Odhiambo should make a difference and i see a lot of promise in Cox, Sanchez and Hayes. Butcher deserves a certain amount of respect and understanding for the way he has handled such a massive turnaround in playing staff - it needed doing. However, that's not to say he gets his team selections right. He's stuck with the same midfield 4 since Imrie's injury and whenever i see it emerge from the tunnel i just think - inexperienced, lightweight, tidy enough on the ball bur never going to win a battle of wills. Butcher conceded almost as much in today's P&J: I think the answer should be obvious then. In the nicest possible way, give a wee rest to the ones who are struggling most (Stratford and Eagle) and bring in a bit of steely experience for the Partick game. If we sort the midfield out and find a bit of home form then i don't think we'll be too far away. Very good points. The other thing we must remember is the budgetary constraints the club has had to adjust to.

crystal meth or crack cocaine... What exactly is your drug of choice? I wish you and all the other boo boys would **** off.
  6. Personally I detest old firm fans from Inverness. Especially when we're playing them and you get some ersehole behind supporting them. I dislike Aberdeen fans and their club, st midden too. I think it's amusing county hate us. Suppose it's an inferiority complex with them. Good feeder club though.

Is the railway station a long walk from the ground? If I go through I need to get the 1717 back to Central.
  8. There's bound to be a twist with this. Personally I think if we get through it will be amazing.
  9. A win is a win. Good to win at Firhill.
  10. Good post Stan, but I would suggest our results were always going to improve from the moment Brewster departed - no matter who had been appointed to replace him. I agree he should be given till the end of the season in the hope that he can build a team capable of getting us back to the SPL... I don't think our finances provide us with the luxury of many alternative options. good to see a positive post on here. We have limited resources, 'fans' who only turn up for big games (if these people turned up every week we would still be SPL) and a decent cohort of players who are capable of holding their own in the first division. I thought golly was a breath of fresh air today. If we can rebuild this season, finish in a decent position and challenge next year I'll be happy. If you have to come to the big games, please don't boo the players.
  11. I'll be heading through for it. Anyone know the ticket prices?
  12. bit of a rough one! Any need to slag off where someone is from? I don't think anyone will boo on Sunday especially after the good away support in Dundee. Has Butcher got what it takes? Who knows at this stage. We're hardly buying the league though with transfer fees being paid... And you've got to remember that in the first division all teams will take points off each other at some stage. (Let's just hope it's early in the season for us...)
  13. The spectators in the North Stand were shocking yesterday. I think Butcher and Malpas will last til the end of the season. From their management point of view if they DON'T win the Scottish First then they're CVs will be a bit poor to secure alternative employment when they leave. I make this statement on the assumption that they only have this season left on their contracts? The home spectators need to get real. Win the league, no real cash investment, no time for new signings to gel. I can understand why people were booing yesterday but I was disappointed with people booing LDZ. Hardly encouraging from his perspective? I think we will fare a lot better next Sunday in the cup.
  14. Tune of yellow submarine *edit Dundee for County
  15. Welcome to the forums. Pity there's so little coverage of ICT for you this season. Highlights of the dundee match would be ace. Out of interest, which London club do you follow?
  16. Can see him doing well. I lol'd at his suggestion that Yogi may end up managing in the Premiership! maybe managing a club's kit perhaps...
  17. It's a wee bit steep but hosting the game, paying match officials etc needs to be covered. The club will cover these costs with a hardcore contingent turning out. If I didn't live in the central belt I would be going along. Good chance to see some of the fringe players in action. Football's an expensive business these days ...
  18. I wouldn't worry about that, someone who cant go without a cigarette for 2 hours probably reeks anyway, CALEYD has made a very valid and reasonable point if you really need to smoke at half time give the club ?100 for the privilege, When you take off free parking, free halftime pie and drink plus other perks how little is it really costing you. I would like to buy a pre match drink at the stadium or the occasional late lunch. If I gave the club ?100, I could do that too. I wouldn't expect someone to moan that they want a dram, food, free parking or bus, free halftime p&b etc at the ground but don't want to pay the ?100. So the same applies to smoking. Take it you're a paid up member then?

Posted it as there's usually a pinned threat with away match information. Apologies for not trawling through the 'who's going to Dundee' thread. 17 notes is a lot of cash which I kinda grudge especially as they're flush.

Phoned Dens Park today. It's pay at the gate. ?10 concessions and ?17 for full price tickets.
  21. Theoretically mergers would be the most financially sound routes to take... However could you see the likes of caley merging with county? The clubs need to address match days and look again at what's on offer to people. I think summmer football would be a good move in terms of increasing gates

It's a pity the club isn't shifting twice this number of season tickets. If we had then I highly suspect we wouldn't have found ourselves in division 1. The crowd for the last game of the season was very good - if we had that many every week then I think we could have kept a few players...
  23. Can this post be pinned please? Save posting all the time to keep it up there. Quite amusing that the OP has said no more on the matter. Good wind-up methinks. Wish we could have signed higgins from them
  24. TopSix replied to jugs116's topic in Caley Thistle
Have to say that I would be more than happy to pay a fiver or so for a love stream of the home games I can't make it up to. I wonder if the club would think about doing this?
  25. Good run out for some of the fringe players. Will be interesting to see how they get on tonight without terry. This is off topic BUT those of you who have an iPhone or itouch can download the sky sports news app which gives you scores for free. It's a good app and covers the Scottish first division unlike the recent eurosport app which was added recently. They're not covering this match but it'll come in handy for keeping up to date at matches.
