Great news for all concerned :D It was obviously top of TB's agenda after we clinched the title and I'm sure he's working tirelessly behind the scenes to secure the likes of Esson, Tokes and Hayes on new deals. I'm sure at least one of them will have signed a new contract before the Scumdee game if not even two. It's also good to see Odhiambo sign a new deal as I believe he'll be a good squad player, he's had the experience he needed this season and has also grown massively in confidence which bodes well for him and us also.

If all goes to plan on May 1st I suggest we play the Drifters Come on over to our place we're having a party (if you don't know it I'm sure it was on a Wimpy advert many moons ago

What channel? Sky Sports 1 after the Hamilton Rangers game around 2.20pm.

This was my third game of the season, after trips to Buckie and Dens. I was bored through the first half, I thought teams were fairly unspectacular, my main focus of interest was the youngish (16??) guy and his Dad behind me shouting abuse at any given point - when Esson pushed a shot over the bar at 0-0 and was holding his shoulder after, their response was to call him a ****ing fairy!! I've managed to convince my boyfriend to support us (he previously resided at Ibrox) and even he was shocked at the abuse the team was getting from these two blokes. I'm not suggesting that we didn't deserve abuse after the first half but come on! He'd just prevented us going one-nil down!! As for the goals, the first was like a car crash - you know EXACTLY whats gonna happen, you can't help watching and there's not a bleeding thing you can do to stop it. Second, I thought Esson could have jumped but perhaps that a bit optimistic. Third had disaster written all over it. Second half I thought we were better, however I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall in our dressing room at half time. Ours was the most definite penalty you'll ever see, btw I thought the ref played a blinder, I didn't think we had any other decent penalty appeals. Overall, I was enouraged by Foran in the second half and agree with others who have commented on Ross's potential for the future and thought Grant was ok. Nobody else was worth commenting on except for Russell Duncan and Narius Bulvitis - and on those two I am lost for words. P.S. Mrs Paulie Bee was it you that caught my eye at the end of the game, we both rolled our eyes and shook our heads despairingly???

I'm surprised the semi finals aren't at neutral grounds, they are for the Scottish Cup - however as other posters have noted it is only the Alba Cup after all. Annan at home for me please.

I thought Lionel had swung out at McMenamin as well...and near the end Dundee had a free kick at the end of the game, right in front of goal..anyoneknow why? Also, I'm not casting aspertions but there was one well dodgy looking steward - the other side of the goal from the Gringos - did anyone see him?

One of the better games of football I've seen, we started by far the better and were unlucky to go 1-0 and 2-1 down. However I would say I thought 2-2 was a fair score, both teams could have won it at the end, their striker should have done better with one of their chances and we could have nicked so overall no complaints, I would have settled for that this morning. Don't know about the substitutions, but I also had Morrison on way before Proctor went off. If the info is coming from Dundee officially, I would take it with a pinch of salt as their announcer had Adam Rooney as our sub goalie, and Dunfermline playing Livingston!!!!

Just in case anyone is interested, we did survive U2 so will definitely be there on Saturday!

Was the first game not on the Monday and the replay at TCS on the same midweek Wednesday? I seem to recall a picture of Grassa jumping up to celebrate being quite widely used.

Have to say am not a fan at all, by comparson the black last season was quite smart - as much as I love my team I won't be buying that. Home strip for me again.

Having been at said concert, I can assure you all that no matter how much money Aberdeen get back, it wouldn't be enough to make me go back to see Elton, it was rubbish!!!

I think if we had made the fixture list ourselves we wouldn't be too far away from what they've given us - no December trips to QoS and two home games over Xmas and New Year isn't to be sniffed at. With what feels like no footie over the summer, this has definitely given me hope for the forthcoming season - aside from which I'm well looking forward to the week beginning 18th August - U2 at Hampden, a trip to Scumdee and the beginning of a fortnight in Costa Dorada all within 6 days - bring it on!!!!

Sultana TV have just announced they have our game v Hamilton at TCS live on TV on Sunday May 10th if that helps anyone!

According to the BBC they need the money for Saturday for staying overnight, wages and transport.

Have to say this is the second time in two days that I'm heard this story and the fact that they are non related to each other makes me think its more likely to be true. I also agree with everyone else who says this is a shocking way to treat a player in his testimonial year.
