  1. That is why we simply NEED entertainment !!
  2. Dear CallieAnne - welcome to the IHE et al. club  But to be serious those are the reasons that many have given this season and you clearly are not a Butcher baiter. That post is actually quite "sad" in the reality orientation sense.
  3. Feck me - what will Oddquine et al feel about a wee kid and a feckin Jeggie being a tad negative - what feckin qualifications do they have ??
  4. Does this mean that Gringo Junior has been neutered or was it just fleas ? But the statement "maybe some people simply can't afford to go to games" is spot on. The gudgies will be very well supported as this is the biggest season in their history and they will spend that bit extra to savour it.
  5. Yes, so after 2 games this is how I see it. But you say no. What are you seeing differently from me? For the attention of Oddquine - I have watched the Coventry, Brechin and Midden matches. Apologies but they were flippant repsonses as I dont feel that you can make comparisons until at least 6-7 games in to a season. When I have watched the signs have been very encouraging and they seem to be gelling better than last season. But we will have to wait and see to deliver a more fact based answer. So the answer at the moment is NO.
  6. Does anyone not think that it would have been different if the opposition had been Hearts, Hibs, Aberdire etc ??
  7. That really is a "hot potato" !!! The bottom line is that Terry Butcher IS the man for the job and it is too early to pass judgement. I would have said that it has been "fairly encouraging" so far.
  8. fer fecks sake - All I ever do is to pass comment on how I see it. My "qualification" is being a player and a viewer for half a feckin century and I like to think that I have an "eye" for the tactical side of the game and when I put a smileymometer together it is how I see it and I provide my rationale which undoubtedly will be challenged by others - but not many and usually the same ones who go down the "IHE is fishing" garbage. They often have not actually read what I have posted and I am usually serious when I post on match threads. If you look at my Midden report it was highly positive and supportive - even my Brechin one was. I wasnt at the Killie game so I asked questions to look at whether the "lessons to be learned" from my perspective had been followed. And Renegade answered them all and whatever he is he also has an "eye" for the game. Read the feckin post again : Again it is early days but what pissses off many is that already many seem to be seeing and agreeing about the faults in regard to the team, the selection and the tactics - except Terry Butcher !! Where in that did I use the word "I" ??!! It was a statement that I gleamed was the fan reaction and added exclamation marks at the end to denote that it was portayed in a sarcastic manner - but there was meaning behind it. What I feel frustrated about and it does appear to be shared is that I (note the I please) would prefer Meekings to Raven - I feel that playing Shane wide is totally wrong for the team and for Shane - I feel that playing McKay up front alone at home is wrong and I feel that Andrew Shinnie should be played in a more attacking sense. I feel that we play too defensive minded at home and that we find it difficult to attack, panic and often result to hoof tactics. I feel that the low crowd may have been becos of the holidays, the opposition and economic constraints (maybe even the Olympics) but I felt that many of the comments on this thread were frustration that some of us have been heaping praise on a "new dawn", perhaps upped expectation levels and it would appear that we regressed. And I feel that it is partly due to the tactics employed and not the performance of the players. I may well be wrong but that is how I see it - I hope to be disproved and I will be the first to say that I got it wrong - but Butcher is not a messiah and he is human - but I will criticise if I feel that it is justified. It is Butcher's main task to keep us in the SPL but I feel that it is also his responsibility to provide entertainment. If he does'nt then he has to take the flak.
  9. Again it is early days but what pissses off many is that already many seem to be seeing And agreeing about the faults in regard to the team, the selection and the tactics - except Terry Butcher !!
  10. Personally I have nothing but respect for the ICT stewards who have gave me a helping hand and direction on many occasions.
  11. The answer actually so far is No.
  12. At the end of the day this forum is all about feckin opinions. From my perspective great things are being done off the park but you only will get peeple coming through the turnstiles when things are getting better ON the park. So if Kenny Cameron is logged on - well done sir. If Mr Terry Butcher is logged on - stop being so feckin tunnel feckin visioned.
  13. Which means that the potential quandry over Foran is solved.
  14. I am really disappointed and am a wee bit concerned that TB has his blinkers on again but as many have said it is early days. Can I have some feedback from those inattendnace please. Did we initially go 4-2-2-1-1 and did we change and lose shape after the first 20-25 minutes - why ? Was Esson playing it out short or hoofing it ?? I simply can not understand how Raven started in front of Meekings - how did Raven play and has Meekings done summat to upset Butcher ? Again I have difficulty in understanding how Sutherland can start in front of Ross - did he play wide or cutting inside. Please tell me that Shane did not regularly interchange with Doran ? Where did he play Shinnie and was McKay played out and out down the centre or did he roam wide ? How did we line up when Ross came on fer McKay - please do not tell me that he put Shane to centre forward. What is the feckin point of taking the promising Oswell on in the last minute ?? Losing late goals, lack of discipline and a terrible crowd, anxt beteween TB and the stand - oh feckin dear.
  15. How strange - The aroma of landfill stench, sewage aorks and burning dead bodies added to the Alamo ambiance.
  16. But it means that I can now be there !!
  17. I have checked my passport and it is fine for a 2013 trip.
  18. Looks like it has reverted back to my initial selection. And without trying to upset anybody may I point out that Terry Butcher and IHE have NEVER chosen the same team - I suspect that this may not be too far away !!
  19. Fraid that it clashes with my ICTFC scouting mission to the Canaries. Perhaps some of the Juanjo Away crew will pass on ma best wishes to the man with a packet of sweets and a cheeky smile !!
  20. It will never compare with the ambiance of the Alamo.
  21. How to we place a regular order for those of us away from base camp ? I am sure like many others that I would be only too willing to pay the extra for the postage etc. as long as the spondoolicks are going to the club. Perhaps there should be a Dear Johndo page for psycholgical support and education ?
  22. It is only obvious to whingeing Midden bestards and righteous dickheads. The bottom line is that there is NO conclusive evidence.
  23. May I suggest "mindfulness".
  24. This thread is verging on the ridiculous.
