  1. I wish that we were just like Fleetwood Town
  2. Chris - watch out - ya could be becoming a less serious poster - but have a green dot. Just call his name. Just call his name, Odhiambho. You are our man. You are our man, Obdhiambo. He'll never miss, he's got the touch. Just give him one chance and ouch. Just call his name. Just call his name, Odhiambo. Odhiambo. Odhiambo Odhi - Odhi - Ambo. Odhi - Odhi - Ambo [2x] (Dont stop. Please. Just let him flow. Odhiambho. Never let him go.)
  3. Mary is a feckin teacher and is used to writing a hundred lines. To summarise : ICT have been playing crapt this season and most of our defence are sidelined. Cellic are rebuilding with a load of Johnny Foreigners led by a Ginger nutted ned. We have been the veritable bogey team in the past but will need more than a rub of the green to get anything out of this. At least we arent playing at home and we have nothing to lose. The fickle home support will lose patience if we can do an Alamo - perhaps we could take a leaf out of the Huns tactics book at Old Triffid - Rosscoe could be Davy Weir in disguise -and this is either going to be a thrashing or extra time and penalties ( I actually predict the latter). Lets hope that Adam "Davy Crockett" Rooney can lead the troops out of the Alamo and we can all bare our erses to Mrs Lennon, his team of mercenaries and the Commanche tribes of the east end of Weegieland.
  4. Remember our first season in the SPL ? There are simply two leagues for us as alluded to above. And as has already been pointed out the only team in league 2 that we have played is Hamilton - but I still maintain that it will be our away form that will be save our bacon.
  5. Do we try and "experiment" a little in view of the Midden game as we really dont have nothing to lose. I would go fer: Tuffey Cox Tokely Munro McBain Ross Duncan Duff Hayes Rooney Sutherland
  6. Looks like he got a hair cut to match the wean.
  7. From Mondays Scotsman LOVE IN AT NEW LOVE STREET - Ewan MacMurray Group 4 Security have announced plans to make amends with travelling fans of Inverness Caledonian Thistle, following widespread condemnation of their brusque approach and draconian "policing" tactics at the recent Hibernian v ICT match played at Easter Road. Group 4 Security spokesperson, Adolf Mussolini, apologised profusely stating "We would wish to unequivocally apologise to all Inverness Supporters who attended the match at Esater Road. Our stormtroopers were overexcited by the aggressive match plan laid out by the new Stadium Manager, Vladimir Romanov, and they took their adrenaline out on the ICT contingent. We unfortunately did not hold back on men, women, children of all ages and apparently even through out a Highalnd papparazi - although he gave a false name of a pope. Group 4 Security have held preparatory talks with Strathclyde Police and the Stain Midden management. They aim to provide pre match entertainment at the slacious Alamo Bar on the aptly named Love Street. Cocktails and a buffet will be available and personal invitations are being sent out to members of the SESH and MOB fan factions. It would appear that members of those groups may have been singled out. Adolf added "Fortunately we have maintained a list of names of all those ejected and we look forward to make amends to the likes of Donald Duck, Elvis Presley, Ronald Reagan, Peter Paul XV1, William Wallace and the grey haired Marius Niculae". On arrival at the grounds all Inverness fans will receive a complementary packet of Lovehearts and will be encouraged to share the sweeties and enact the mottos with the stewards. Inverness fans will be provided with free flowery seat cushions and they will be permitted to stand whilst singing. A suggestion was for a chorus backed by flares but Health and Safety has limited this but ICT fans will be allowed to wave orchid scented joss sticks as they sing "Wise men say". Half time will herald a rendition of "All you need is love" by the Group 4 choir. Stewards will mingle with the ICT support and hope to encourage a flurry of group hugs, whilst doves will be released an rose petals will be scattered like confetti. Inverness fans, Mann4thejob and Johnboy expressed their support "This is an admirable gesture and brings back sweet memories of Woodstock and love ins. It will be just like the Aviva advert." So Paisley will be the place to be on Saturday 25th September if your goal is world peace and it will be pleasing to see the yellow jacketed barstewards being amenable for once. MOB spokesman IHE concluded " We all thought that there was a human being inside that cold, gruff exterior. It will be nice to watch ninety minutes of football again. I just hope unruly influences like the Highland Exile wont spoil it for us.
  8. Eric is a Jekyll and Hyde performer and I am simply a bit worried that he is too much of a "luxury" to wait for those performances every 2-3 games, especially at home. His pace will get him and us quite a few goals - he is a bit like marius but swop the pace for the touch. I would prefer to have him coming off the bench. I have always doubted whether Shane and Rooney could play together but it is worth a go.
  9. A lot of sensible responses - We really have to look at making 11th as our first goal and anything extra in the first season back is a bonus. You would have to admit that we havent exactly had the rub of the green so far either. We have a small squad and our survival was always dependent on keeping the first team picks as fit and as available as possible. Losing both first choice full backs is a big blow, add Foran to that, even Gil, Innes has been AWOL and add in Hayes coming back to fitness - it syas it all - and then we draw Cellic away in the cup - who broke the dressing room mirror. The defence which is usally our mainstay has chopped and changed with TB practically forced to play a few players out of position and that doesnt help at all. But Rooney gets better and better, we appear to have brought up a couple of young starlets in Ross and Sutherland and we are spolit for choice in goals. Duff is also beginning to look like a good buy but he split up what looked like a knowledgeable partnership in Duncan and Cox and Cox has had to alter his role a bit. Ask the same question again after we have played everybody once. And finally our away form could be the crucial ingredient to ensure that we stay in the SPL mix next season. There is a long way to go - and if you need any reassurance - just go back to December last season and look at where we were then.
  10. Posttraumatic stress disorder (also known as post-traumatic stress disorder or PTSD) is a severe anxiety disorder that can develop after exposure to any event that results in psychological trauma :irritated:
  11. Apr?s la performance d'aujourd'hui Gillet est vraiment le seul SPL retour standard compl?te que nous avons. Si la tuberculose ne pouvait voir que Royster a les cuisses de grenouilles ? la substitution parfaite.
  12. DOH - Innes was marking Kyle and getting slaughtered - Granty was the spare man trying to cover Proctor and Tokely. Moving Granty to left back was a PANIC move and totally backfired.
  13. Sutherland had ten minutes and Eric would have ended up with more skid marks on the pitch than you have in yer unerpants thinking about him undressing in the dressing room What did ya fink of Duff - he was my MOM plus Proctor is NOT a right back.
  14. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Home - played 3 won 0 drew 0 lost 3 for 1 against 5 minus 4 GD points 0 Away - played 2 won 1 drew 1 lost 0 for 5 against 1 plus 4 GD points 4 Bring on Paisley.
  15. No wind up - had a double voddie typing my post but - on the box - Rosscoe and Eric were hapless and dire. Rosscoe was hooked back in to central defence becos he was struggling. All the commentators on ESPN commented that Rosscoe was "sleeping" for the second goal and well out of position for the third. As fer Eric he was a figure of ridicule. Two of my English mates watched the game and said that Eric was the most amusing sight that they had seen in years - and felt that he fell on his erse more than Todd feckin Carty on Dancing On Ice. The goal was unbelievably BAD. Aye but did Tokely not go centre defence because Innes was injured and Golly came on to cover left back. Its a wee bit different to being hooked to centre half cos he's struggling. If that was Butchers thinking Proctor would've been subbed in the first half. Anyway, if there's one thing we can take from this its that Butcher doesn't have much faith in Golabek if he can't get a start today given he is our only back up left back. Nope - Tokely and Granty switched just before the third goal becos Rosscoe was shattered and being slaughtered.
  16. Praise be to copy and paste: From a purely psychological perspective I would say that this post says more about the poster than anything else - ya can just sense the excitement and expectation in the words. From the seer perspective I suspect he could be suffering from a groin strain imminently.
  17. I actually think / hope that Terry and Mo have learned from todays game. To be fair to them and the team we dont have a SPL standard squad and the injury loss of McCann and Gillet was evidently a major factor - and I suspect that they chucked in Innes before he was really ready - but I feel that they still got a few things wrong today. You simply cant beat SPL teams with two makeshift full backs and a half fit central defender. So in many ways we were in a no win situation today but lets put it behind us, learn from the proceedings and march on to Paisley. It is OK to be an armchair manager but I would have played Tokely at right back with Nick Ross in front of him. Innes had to be risked but I would have played McBain at left back. To be fair the rest of the team picked itself. But why are we obsessed with hitting Hayes all the time and why do we stick Nick Ross out on the left all the time. I would prefer Nick on the right predominantly and Hayes on the left - interchanging regularly. I am unsure whether Sutherland and Rooney can play together but it is worth a punt at home. The defending for the Hearts first goal was schoolboy stuff with a line 8 feckin yards from our goal - the decision to swop Rosscoe and Munro was ill timed and really shouldnt have happened. I reckon that rosscoe would have been skinned but Grant would have had more nouse to cover centrally. Sutherland should have come on fer Eric at least 10 minutes earlier. But at the end of the day we have a team capable of staying up and going forward we are as good as most. The return of Foran is a massive plus. Today was a bad day with a depleted team and dodgy tactical decisions. But we will learn.
  18. From the Main Stand and the North Stand this goal looked Brazilianesque in its scoring. Eric dummies a chip and totally outwits the keeper and then he decides to hit the ball in to the ground to outwit the last defender. Feckin classic until ya see the TV replay !! At least he didnt slip and fall feckin over
  19. I'll give you a green feckin dot fer that.
  20. No wind up - had a double voddie typing my post but - on the box - Rosscoe and Eric were hapless and dire. Rosscoe was hooked back in to central defence becos he was struggling. 21. Interesting comments from peeple who were at the game so here is the ESPN view from a totally feckin sober IHE !! ESSON He wasnt at fault at any of the goals and always looked to distribute quickly - and usually did - appeared to be giving some great defensive "shouts" and did well in the wet conditions PROCTOR Hopefully Terry and Mo are now convinced that he is a valuable squad player who can play "well" in a number of positions but he quite simply is NOT a right back - in some fairness Templeton is a mega talent but Proc was lost. GRANTY I dont agree with the criticism as AGAIN I felt that he was the only player in the back for who was actually "thinking" about the game. Innes was given the job of marking Kyle - TB probably didnt have an alternative but moving Granty to left back midway through the second half was tactically inept. INNES Sorry but he wasnt match fit but probably had to be pitched in as what were the alternatives. The lack of match fitness shone through in the second half ROSSCOE : Well as most of us knew before he is NOT a left back and he probably isnt a SPL right back either - central defender for this season only. He looked totally lost and was at fault for the second and third goals. He was feckin spent. HAYES: Is it me or is he the most frustrating ****. He can be a typical winger one minute and then goes out of the game fer ages plus he doesnt track back - and when he did he was paul Scholes esque in a late tackle. COX As usual runs his legs off and was probably one of the few who gained pass marks. Unspectacular but moderately effective - has taken over the Duncan role clearly DUFF : Never one of my favourite transfer rumours or buys but this boy actually looks the part. He works put he can play a pass as well. Could be the buy of the season ROSS: Suffers from the apparent obsession to hit Hayes. Let the boy of his leash and play him on the right - a feckin definite fer the Under 21 squad - Don Cowie in the making. ERIC Shocking game - he simply should NOT be played at home - feck me he clearly even doesnt know what kind of stud to use in wet conditions. He simply does not have a first touch or a pass - all he has is pace - and his goal could go down as the flukiest in SPL history. ROONEY: Playing the lone striker at home is unacceptable. He simply did not get the ammunition but he could have scored a couple of goals if he had more experience. He will be a vital cog in the future though. FORAN OK Hearts were 3-1 but his mere presence appeared to buoy the team and the atmosphere. Greta to see him back and his presence will be a big, big factor this season. SUTHERLAND: Still not convinced that he and Rooney can play together but that pairing is worth having a look at. From the TV there was nothing wrong with the goal GOLLY Only on fer a short time but way behind the SPL pace. Terry and Mo: Todays tactics deserve a thread of its own BRINES: Poor game all round - missed some clear decisions - including the disallowed Sutherland goal, some terrible tackles and over ruling the linesmen. And isnt Craig burley a total feckin horses' erse. Overall there were positives and negatives - we are evidently going to struggle when we have important players out but we have to be more radical in regard to our tactics
  22. IMMORTAL HOWDEN ENDER replied to a post in a topic in Caley Thistle
Personally I'd go with McBain. Nothing against Golly as I don't think either of them have the pace to play LB effectively but I believe McBain is the fitter of the two. Maybe we'll see Tokely at LB again? That is going to be a poser for TB - I would also go fer McBain but TB has put Rosscoe at left back as cover on several occasions this season. To be honest against Stockport the main difference was the fact that he was more defensive minded but was susceptible to pace going down his left - but you could say the same about his right.
