  1. It was only a drizzle of snow !! Can you imagine that being played these days. I remember thinking that we were doomed when Barley Yoghurt was hooked. Camera work for the penalties was sooperb and so nice to see a full Howden End celebrating.
  2. At least Braves is a feckin better choice than Thistle.
  3. So smarterses - do we just need one point to go through ?
  4. Dundee has become our "do or die" away venue. Early days of course but progression (irrespective of how) would be a real boost.
  5. One of my funniest memories is the game where the team consisted of a Dodo, Gogo, Coco, Tommo, Jojo, Johndo and Robbo. Lets just say that Mr Beaton was tongue tied and entertaining - until he ran out of expletives and gave up !!!
  6. I would like to play five a side with Nemiroff FC.
  7. If anybody can - Tommy can.
  8. Great bloke on and off the pitch. He was coaching when I was at Caley and two great years with John and Tommy Cumming in charge with Columba in the Welfare. Great memories of a man who lived and breathed football.
  9. Walsh, Welsh, Tomato, Potato ?
  10. Polly having a good game is akin to us winning 4-1. Consistency is the main outcome. This thread is heading towards being renamed "Who are we not going to get in the transfer window".
  11. Don't you just love the smell of fresh cut grass ?
  12. Good idea - With all our draws we would only have been 4 points behind the Arabs last season and not 9 points !!
  13. Bring back fanzines and the word of mouth.
  14. Shocking speeling - should be "footie".
  15. My Eastern European GP once warned me that "Chernobyl will fall off if ya don't stop ……… it "
  16. I was actually being serious. I will always have a "CaleytillIdie" mentality but lets face it many of US and our Jeggie equivalents have departed to the Howden End and The Shed in the sky. In 25 years, apart from any Immortals, there will be very, very few left.
  17. I really don't give a feck who stands beside me on the terraces or sits beside me in the stands or who gets ejected from the ground with me.
  18. It simply has to be Mark Ridgers to blame ?
  19. And then came 21 ?!!
  20. Perhaps we are looking at the 25th anniversary celebration of a new club, a new beginning and the "burial" of Caledonian and Inverness Thistle. Of course there will be members of an older generation who still grieve and will always (totally understandably) hold dear the teams that they followed from their early years. I really don't think that there are any conspiracy theories and the "Blue" has become the colour of choice for the next generation. I bet if you had a poll the majority now would not give a feck as to the pre-merger memories and whinges.
  21. Cue Jethro Tull and "Living in the Past". Or lets paint the bogs red and black.
  22. Good to see Donaldson as a model ?
  23. I suppose that it will improve in time.
