  1. Aye, we've got to keep believing in Terry and June and the boys. Saturday was indeed a truly massive disappointment but let's put that behind us and look forward to our next three games and then the split and whatever that may hold. One thing for certain - we are staying up, we are staying up.

Poor Lionel. He's being lined up as the whipping boy after yesterday's debacle but there were others on the park who played worse than he did.
  3. You'll have a job calling Norris McWhirter - he died in 2004.
  4. Really fantastic turnout of fans this afternoon. I guessed about 600. The seating Falkirk FC had allocated for ICT fans was well under estimated. Pity the team didn't do anything on the park to reward our loyalty and commitment.
  5. Utterly appalling performance this afternoon. Caley Thistle just didn't turn up in anything that could remotely be described as an SPL football team. Grant had a nightmare, Dougie was posted missing for huge parts of the game, Richie didn't seem part of the team, Rooney was wasted. The only ICT player who had a half decent game was Pavels. Shocking, shocking, shocking. I still can't believe it was a Caley Thistle team who put in such a dire performance. The fans were, as usual, tremendous and easily outsang the 5,000 Bairns fans. :thumb04: :018:
  6. Hope you have a safe journey down. See you there.
  7. Quite agree with that. Much scope at the TCS for improvement in this area. Will anything be done ? NO.
  8. My mate is coming up from Glasgow for the game so that's another addition. Come on the Caley Jags !
  9. That would be Billy Nelson. He still does the Clach PA and often plays tracks from his own CD, including the legendary "Westering Home To The Ferry." Billy Nelson for TCS announcer I say ! The craic would be magic.
  10. Aye, you're right about Norman Miller Scotty - all too soon forgotten but a truly major figure in the merger. We owe him a lot. Incidentally, where's the Thistle gone in the stadium name ? I was always a Caley fan but they too deserve recognition.
  11. Aye, good point well made. Debating the stadium announcer is nothing to what was going on here a couple of months ago. Enuff said.
  12. Any games I've been at I've thought the announcer was poor. It's too easy to criticise I suppose when you're not the one with the mic under your nose. Needs looking at by the powers that be at The Dump.

"He once was a hun but now he's not one" Just a thought.
  14. Hoping to go. A vital game for us but which one isn't these days.

Aye, Rooney definitely needs more starts. He was on from the start at Ibrox on Wednesday and put in a good shift. We must get someting out of Barrowman - he did cost us quite a bit of cash after all so let's see him deliver. I've said before it's a confidence issue with him.
  16. Rooney and Foran up front with Dougie and Morais in support from midfield and on the wings.
  17. This is a crucial match for us and I'm hoping to go. The team needs all the support we can give and after yesterday I'd love to see us go there and stuff them ! Here's hoping..............

Well done Don. We could have done with him at The Dump this afternoon !
  19. Aye, I've just seen the non-head butt incident on Sportscene and Russell was a very silly boy indeed.
  20. I'd love Ian to stay at Caley Thistle but I fear he will go the way of Wyness, Dargo, Rankin, Cowie, Bazza, et al - down the A9. If Terry and Maurice can persuade him to stay it would be quite a coup for them to put it mildly.
  21. Just home from the game and I'll sum it up as Caley Thistle - fighters to the last; Falkirk - poor; referee - utterly dreadful. Bring on Killie and roll on 21 March at Falkirk.

Nobody can deny Lionel puts his heart and soul into playing for ICT. The guy was just gutted when he was sent off this afternoon but he will bounce back I am sure of that. Aye, he could become an ICT legend, and for the right reasons too !
  23. Aye, can't wait to see the Blue Noses at work tomorrow morning.
  24. No way can we go down after this. Ian Black Radio Scotland's MoM.
  25. Tremendous result for the Butcher Boys. Well done to the team, Terry and Maurice.
