  1. There's little doubt this is going to be a tough season for Caley Thistle and we shouldn't run away with the idea that our cushion against relegation is Hamilton Accies. A Gretna for the 2008/2009 season they certainly are not. Good luck to the team, the fans and the manager.
  2. It's a total mystery to me why Walter Smith won't give Boyd a decent run in the team and give him the opportunity to start more games. He always seems to have a bit more fight and will to win than some of the first team regulars.
  3. When you see some of the refereeing performances of recent years you have to wonder if they're worth paying ?80 per match never mind ?800.
  4. I'm due to buy mine when I'm up in Sneck for the Hamilton Accies match on 16 August, referees permitting of course.
  5. Very rarely look at or use the official ICT site. I rely on CT Online for all the latest on what's going on at the club. The official site is just so slow and behind with news and developments - needs a revamp.
  6. That's pretty obvious looking at the situation from afar. Just what exactly is going on up there ? I think we should be told the facts by the club. Certainly not the kind of carry on we want or need at the start of the new season. :024:
  7. He didnt get some form of honour after his long career in broadcasting ? I didnt realise that and think its quite wrong. Yes, I think it's really awful that Bob Crampsey didn't get an honour of some kind. Tam and Stuart on Off The Ball had a campaign to get a Bob an honour and I seem to recall they had quite a bit of support. Great pity that he wasn't given the recognition he deserved.

Welcome to Hamilton Accies and their fans to the SPL. I've a feeling this game could be a good one - that's why I'm coming up to Sneck for it. :021:
  9. Aye, a very sad loss indeed. I always rememeber his talks to camera on Scotsport on a Sunday afternoon back in the 1970s - he always had some interesting or thought-provoking to say. His talks were always well researched and use of words and language always a pleasure to hear. R I P Bob.

Aye, we should go for the lad and show there's a bit of ambition at the club. Come on, get a move on Brew. :022:

Hope it's not the long ball game we'll resort to - we had far too much of that last season and was clearly a sign that attacking options and ideas had run out. :007:
  12. Stevie Crawford ? No thanks and we can do better, much better than him. :007:
  13. Shearer back as coach. What next ? Pele back as scout ? :024:
  14. Well done County - sounds like they were up for the game and we weren't. Good to hear of Zander getting a run out last night though. Brew must give him a chance of an extended run with the first team squad. This is just the time to get duff performances out of our system and not after the 2009/2009 SPL season gets underway.

Ryan Esson coming to ICT could be one of the better deals hatched by the management. I thought he was a pretty good keeper so it could be a good move for us.
  16. If we got offered ?1m for Marius we should take the money and run. If we got offered ?500,000 for Marius we should take the money. :023:
  17. Defintely got to be Granty. Continuity is very important in any team and to change the captaincy at this stage is pretty pointless.
  18. Aye, bad luck for the Hibees. Might have been a different result had the SPL season been under way and the players a bit sharper. Still, they are professionals. :007:
  19. I'll be up for this - definitely. Not as far from the Borders as from Sneck. Could be quite a good pre-season game. :021:
  20. Let's hope he can deliver the goods for us. Wish him all the best and let's put this will he, won't he signing saga behind us and move on. :021:
  21. Seems to me that Barrowman and his agent have outmanoeuvred ICT at every turn in this saga. :029:

I was a Caley fan pre-merger but these new strips have far too much blue and definitely not enough red. Also, there should be black somewhere in it. Not very good ICT. :018:
  23. Don Cowie - definitely our best player this season and thoroughly deserves his award. Let's hope we keep him long-term and he doesn't go down the road like John Rankin. :018:
  24. BBC Radio Scotland are reporting that Mark McGhee is staying on as Motherwell manager and is not going to the Jambos. A very sensible decision. :clapping03: :022:
  25. Romania - naturally ! :021:
