  1. I sincerely hope you are right as the only legitimate home win I've seen in 2008 is us beating Kilmarnock ( the 2 wins against the Stevie Wonder netball team of Gretna don't count)
  2. Count yourself lucky you only go to the away games - it's murder being a home fan just now!! I'm wishing I had spent my money on a new TV rather than a season ticket Need to see the St Mirren equaliser again as I'm not quite sure what happened. The ball just seem to sail straight down the middle a despite a last ditch attempt by Hastings, Mehmet finished it well! Tokely had a mare today and was at fault for there winner. He feebly tried to tackle there winger who just strolled past him and after a bit of ping pong in the box the ball was stroked home and game over. Going to open a nice bottle of red tonight and get quietly sloshed. Early days yet but losing at home to St Mirren & Hamilton doesn't inspire confidence. Let's hope you away fans keep on witnessing us play well
  3. Perhaps when you are a bit older you might realise what a good player he is/was. We'll chalk that comment down to youthful exuberance!!
  4. If this is true then I think our manager has made the right decision. It's not always about the best individuals but rather how they preform as a team/partnership - from what I've seen Munro/Mcguire doesn't work
  5. To be fair he got 4 out 5 predictions exactly right the previous week and the correct outcome in the other. He does, however, seem to tip us to lose more often that not
  6. Munro played in the 2-1 reserve defeat to Falkirk today so assumin there is no adverse reaction I guess he'll be available for Saturday. I may be in the minority here but I don't think McGuire is all that bad a player. Granted he's made a few mistakes but so have the rest of our team. He seems to be public enemy No 1 as far as some fans are concerned though and I think Munro gets a much easier time of it because he's local - he put in some shocking performances at the start of last season!!
  7. Congrats on the goal Broadfoot but that doesn't change the fact you shouldn't be anywhere near the Scotland team
  8. Broadfoot is starting!!!!!!!!!! Is there still time for a Black Hole to appear?
  9. Reading the P&J it seems Munro is likely to come straight back into the side at the expense of Duff. Perhaps it's to be expected but it seem slightly unfair on the young lad, who, despite the very obvious mistake against Hamilton, has played pretty well. Should it not be the case that the player in possession of the jersey should keep his place if he's doing the job asked of him or is that just wishful thinking? Dods, for example, sat on the sidelines for months until MacAfffrey got suspended and never looked back after that.
  10. Apologies if this has been mentioned elsewhere but I've just read on teletext the club have formed a 4 man events committee charged with improving the clubs finances. They will be looking for input from supporters in how to raise cash. Mike Smith is quoted as being one of the 4!
  11. Kirk Broadfoot called up to the Scotland squad!! What a joke!!

Leeds are likely to make a bid for him in January and we'll have to accept there offer or lose him for nothing come the summer. Why wasn't he signed on a 3 year deal!!
  13. WOO HOO Superb result and by the sounds of it completely merited. Nice to hear we were playing the game the right way today and keeping it on the deck, it just shows you we can do it. Hopefully we can get a decent performance at home now!

P & J story says there would be too much red tape involved in signing him despite the fact he is a good player but Highland News says he's off for a trail at Newcastle!

Arbroath 2-2 Inverness CT Ayr 0-1 Aberdeen Brechin 0-2 Kilmarnock Hearts 0-0 Airdrie Utd Cowdenbeath 1-5 Dundee Utd Dundee 1-2 Partick Dunfermline 1-0 Alloa Hamilton 3-1 Clyde Hibernian 3-4 Morton Livingston 2-1 St Johnstone Raith 1-3 Falkirk St Mirren 7-0 Dumbarton A couple of pumpings in this round !!! Bottom line though, however ugly it was, we are through. As I said it is rare. Aberdeen only just scraped through against a team from the same league as Arbroath, while arguably the two biggest teams in this round crashed out, despite both playing reasonably well at this time. And if you really want to be pedantic, St Mirren and Dundee Utd were playing sides from the third division, and both SPL sides in those games unlike ourselves put out full strength squads. I fully expected the Brewster out brigade to have a field day with this one, but try as they might things just aren't that bad. A new centre back is all that is required to complete the team, and we all know that Brew is working on that, while we have taken 4 points from our opening SPL games, despite Christie managing none for 6 last season. For some things will never be good enough, however I have seen enough to tell me that Brewster is looking at the bigger picture and has plans to take ICT to the next level. Christie left after 3 games! I'm not sure Brewster underestimated the opposition. The team he picked should have been able to win the game. Maybe the players should shoulder the blame on this occassion
  16. Tom Parratt signed for Queen of the South today

They are in the second division. I remember when we were in the SFL and SPL fans would come onto the old Rivals site and come out with this sort of thing. Fact is, in the cup away ties are always difficult. My mistake - for some unknown reason my brain had convinced me we were playing Forfar

Even our reserve team SHOULD be able to beat 3rd division part-timers. We are through and that's the main thing but it's still embarrassing

Win or lose it's a disgrace

Sadly no real surprise as size DOES matter to the current regime Did I read coorectly that Bobby Williamson is the new coach of Uganda?
  21. "During the period covered by the accounts, ?285,000 of new shares was issued thus reducing the effect of the loss." Does that mean the loss would have been ?717,000 without the share issue or is it ?432,000 less the ?285,000??? Hard to believe I have an O Grade in Accounts!!
  22. On offical website Loss of ?432,000 on the year's trading
  23. I wonder if that mean Hearts have lowered their wage demands or that Livi are paying bigger wages than us?
  24. Well there have been some good opinions, some strange opinions and some absolutely ridiculous ones made by a variety of posters but then everyone is entitled to their own take on the game How some people can say that was the worst Hibs team they've seem up here puzzles me though and doesn't say much for us cause they caused us no end of problems today. It was a better performance than against Hamilton (wouldn't be hard) well in the first half but the second 45 was back to the walls. Our substitutions were probably merited, well in the sense of who was taken off anyway, as all 3 deserved to be hooked especially Imrie who was rank rotten today. I guess Lionel was brought on to strengthen the midfield and provide some height against a few of the bigger Hibs player, just a shame he is rubbish in the air and seems to close his eyes when going for a header! We got a point we probably didn't deserve today and I'm sure we will play better and get nothing. What worries me is the very poor home form we are displaying. Looks like the away fans may get the best deal this season - I hope so anyway as if we don't perform on the road our home performances aren't likely to keep us up
