Season tickets renewal
Perhaps they might be wanting to wait for a bit to see if there should be a wee price increase for Premiership games? You never know, could very well be on the cards...

ICT and the senior citizens
I think you are right Kingsmills. The mindless idiots are probably in the minority, however, they have an enormous effect on the rest of us. There are a lot of prats about with no sense of social responsibility, unfortunately it's a malaise of our society. I'm hoping that this dreadful episode might bring about a cultural shift in attitudes and behaviours but that's likely just wishful thinking.

Coronavirus - Season on hold
All for rationing but a bit of ridiculousness at our local Co-op today - popped in to buy 3 sandwiches for lunch to be told I can only have two, Co-op ruling only 2 items of any one product whatever it is. Explained there were three of us but they wouldn't budge, so bought two then Mrs Canary had to go in to get another. Bit of common sense required methinks.

Coronavirus - Season on hold
Looks like you might not be so far off CaleyD - here's an extract taken from an interview Partick's Gerry Britton has given to the BBC... "I genuinely fear for a lot of the smaller clubs who are on a real tipping point and a situation like this could very easily push some clubs under." Partick Thistle find themselves in a precarious situation at the bottom of the Championship if the league season was to finish early. The Glasgow club are two points adrift of second-bottom Queen of the South, but have a game in hand. However, Britton says clubs at the top of the table should be rewarded for their success so far, even if clubs like his own avoid relegation. "There's a number of scenarios being spoken about," he said. "If the league stops here then okay, teams have to be rewarded. We are into the last quarter, so the teams at the top need to be rewarded. "It's hard not to be self-interested. When I look at it, the one proposal I've heard of the top two teams getting promoted with no relegation, of Kelty and Brora coming up, that works for me. "If we did have an experiment with the top tier going up to 14 teams, we might find it works." So if that's the way it pans out we'd be going back up to the Premiership with DU.

League restructure
I think just about anything is an improvement over the current setup and I really like this idea, it has an exciting fresh feel to it. Gerry Britton at Partick was giving an interview about the effects of a lengthy league shutdown and mentioned there are various scenarios being discussed. Seems like it's possible they may have a minor restructure to increase the Premiership to 14 clubs. There would be no relegation this year, promotion for the top two sides from each division, with Brora and Kelty being promoted from the Highland and Lowland leagues. So not much different from now, we do need something more radical, but it does put us back in the Premiership.

Chelsea looking to buy Scottish club
Not something I would like. It's hard enough for local youth players to get a chance as it is without them being shoved aside to make way for some rich club from the south out to improve their own stable.

ICT v Morton
Good to see this never give up attitude they seem to have at the moment, keeping the heads up and plugging away right to the end. This is what will put pressure on DU if we can keep chipping away. It may seem that we're too far back but we thought this back in 2004 until we started on that amazing run-in from March to the helicopter game against StJ - same again please Robbo 👍

The Bronson Legacy
Hits home on many levels Scotty so thank you. I've not been brave enough to seek help when needed or open up about it like you have, it's a lesson so many of us need to learn. I get the Highland Man stoic thing - I find it very easy to reach out to help others but have found it incredibly hard to seek that same help for myself or talk about any issues I've had. I hope those that need to can take the opportunity to find that help and support when needed. I also do the Movember thing and take part in the Distinguished Gentleman's Ride... https://www.gentlemansride.com

Bronson
This is harsh news to take. Bronson was one of the original Highland March crew and I'm not sure I'd have got through that first trek without his laughter and personality to help us through the tough bits. He had a heart of gold and I used to love his late night calls when he'd phone up three sheets to the wind with the latest joke he'd heard in a pub somewhere that night. My thoughts go out to all his family and close friends.

JUSTICE FOR JAMES
Wonders will never cease, common sense prevails! I didn't think there was the remotest possibility they would listen - people power! Have a great day at the final James, and a couple of goals would be nice way to say thank you for everyone who helped fight your corner 😀

Caramel Wafer Cup Semi Final
Long thread so forgive me if this has been mentioned already and I've missed it - does James Keatings not have a strong personal case to sue the disciplinary panel and referee for libel and slander seeing that they have publicly labelled him a cheat (simulator) by documented statement and spoken word?

Quarter finals
I find it hard to believe that any Prem team, aside from the OF, would play a weakened side in the cup. Apart from the league cup it's their only realistic chance of any silverware. I fully expect Hibs to be well up for the QF with the strongest side they can muster.

Inverness CT -V- Livingston
Aye Super Caley Man, it's always something I've struggled to comprehend. Back then I had thought the city would rally behind the new team but the bitterness went far deeper and lasted a lot longer than I ever imagined. Being so faraway and without the great benefit of the wider internet exposure and social media back in 93/94 I didn't fully appreciate all the rancour that was flying about. But now that we're heading towards three decades on, and given the astonishing success and adventures we've had along the way, I now can't comprehend the apathy that obviously still exists. The poor attendances completely baffle me - it doesn't matter how well or poorly your team are doing, it's your team so you turn up to give your support if you can. it's the lot of the football supporter to go through the successes and failures of your team together. You can never really appreciate the joys of success without having experienced the depths and despair of failure - for that reason I pity the OF fans.

Quarter finals
Aye the game at Maryhill - roadworks on the A1 and a broken down artic on the A66 put me way behind - belted up the M6 and M74 at speeds I didn't think my wee Corolla was capable of, got lucky with a parking space not too far from the ground just after kick-off, then got blasted with the cheering for the first goal just as I was running up the steps into the stand - FECK!

January Transfer Window
No way we can fight with the likes of Salford when it comes down to available cash to tempt players in.

***GAME OFF*** ICT v QOS
Yep we never had so many postponements back then - and as for location, being near the sea doesn't seem to cause the same problems at Arbroath, still the only ground I've been in where I've been soaked on the terracing by sea water rather than rain water!
