  9. In a rapidly changing world it's good to know there's always something we can rely on
  10. Yep OCG there is indeed - I just hanker back to the golden years of the 60s when a few loo rolls bought from the corner shop on the way to the ground were more than sufficient to show your delight when the goals went in. Only problem was you're team had to play in white if you wanted yer loo roll to be the same as the team colours!
  11. Totally agree with the dangerous aspect of the flares but the effects of the smoke are the same from both - hard to see how nominating a certain area can help with this as you're at the mercy of the prevailing wind. Just can't see the fascination with them, many hundreds of twirly scarfs are more my thing.
  12. Flares are an absolute bugger if you have asthma and are downwind of them
  13. Gringo buddy you are a star - I don't know how you manage it year after year but it's greatly appreciated by us all - cheers!

  15. …a wee postscript for Reece McAlear - if you’re not going to be at Inverness next season please come back to Norwich
  16. Had to listen to the radio commentary (thank you BBC!) while working so looking forward to seeing the 2nd leg on the telly. No matter what the outcome on Monday night I couldn’t be prouder to be a CaleyJags fan at the moment. Following that drastic spell in the season when everything seemed to be going so wrong the turnaround in the latter stages of the regular season and the sheer effort expended throughout the playoffs has been quite exceptional. Billy Dodds does indeed merit great plaudits for this (extremely impressed with his post match interview admitting he got the initial tactics wrong) but it is obviously a tremendous effort from everyone at the club. The passion, guts and determination shown in the face of adversity has been outstanding. Well done all you’ve done yourselves proud, just one final push on Monday and you’ll do it - thanks for the ride

  20. Many thanks MrCJ for all the hard work, it really is very much appreciated and delighted to hear you're up for another one Well done on the fine win Scotty, remarkable to end up in profit for what seems to have been the weirdest season of results in a long time! Joonya, what can I say?

  24. Catching up after a few days in the doldrums, interesting thread. Brings to mind a couple of comments made in the Killie/Arbroath commentary - the last losses for both teams were at the hands of ICT. Just shows what a huge opportunity we've squandered this season with such a mixed bag of results - and begs the question, who is ultimately at fault? Was it down to a small core of players not pulling their weight or simply not up to the task, or was it the management team failing to get the tactics or motivation right to get the best out of everyone? I can appreciate the arguments on both sides. I'm not able to offer an opinion as I have seen precious little of the games this season, just had to rely on the updates and reports from you guys. It's an enigma right enough, flashes of brilliance which showed the ability and quality was there, but equally spells of utter dross that would have had us struggling against Clach! Can only hope that the problems that were obviously there in the 3rd quarter of the season are now behind us and we can hit the play-offs running on a high. Great that we can have a forum to debate these moot points in a friendly demonstration of mutual respect for each others opinions
