  1. the posters on here are definitely the minority when it comes to the crowd, i knw just bout every poster will be renewing their season ticket but there are rakes of part-timers who won't bother.....
  2. great news, looks as though we have a scout or someone in the know around leicester, first odhiambo (who everyone agrees isa good talent) and now cox, who also looks like a talented player. good to see some action.
  3. mclenehan a craking player, came on in the last 15 minutes in a game against county, superb talent. i've been checking the sports pages whenever i can looking for these new signings, NOTHING.
  4. could someone find me a link to that article about foran please?
  5. i thought we were getting only ?50,000 from them? Or was that purely a parachute payment? at least we have had the benefit of preparing for this, falkirk and st mirren and killie hav had cutbacks thrust on them.
  6. aye i'll lend him a it of support at the start of the season, but if he doesn't start doing what he is paid sh#tloads to do then surely he deserves all the hassle he gets? normally i'd be just as neutral as you div1309 but something about barrowman just doesn't sit right with me, and for him to be bleeding the club dry while doing nothing rankles, especially after his pathetic conrtibution in the season we got relegated.
  7. yep that aberdeen game did more harm than good, apart from being the best game of the season and the best away day ever, but it certainly raised my hopes substantially; came back raving about barrowman and boasting that we were going to be definitely top six.. he just doesn't fit in with the 'work hard ethics' of the club. if he doesn't start scoring almost straight away, he will be hassled by everyone, includung me.
  8. barrowman and rooooney are just too similar to play together. Neither are paticularly good movers up front and their main attribute is the ability to finish, and even barrowman has shown he can just as easily miss the ball completely when he should score (ie hamilton game). Rooney needs to prove himself first, at the moment he seems that he is suffering from deano syndrome, the fans love him and the inevitable chants of 'rooooooney' every time he warms up must make him slightly embarrassed, even though he is our top scorer he hasn't done enough to merit it.
  9. on the official website it appears that my rumours may have been slightly over-exaggerated by my 'man in the know' so apologies, its only a few youth players being let go and the youth system is contuining to run at sfa level..
  10. good news then, i will never listen to my 'man on the inside' again...
  11. robbie winters = sh*te couldn't hack it at clyde, we should go for young midfielder ruari mclennan instead
  12. Although this is at the rumour stage, this is no wind-up and comes indirectly from one of the youth players himself. ICT have made massive cutbacks across the whole youth academy, with the youth teams being completely disbanded and almost all of the u19s being made redundant. Apparently the players have been expecting this for a while and the club had plans to do so anyway had the club stayed up. The cost of running has made it impossible for the club to do so while in the 1st division. Some youth players may be given 1st team contracts, although from what i have heard even the likes of struan scott-woodhouse and shane sutherland will be getting released. I know i'll look like a bit of a tube if this doesn't come true, but from the strength of the source, you know where you heard it first.....
  13. must be getting my info wrong here then, apologies, thought i heard it was IT role that he was getting a small fee for.
  14. don't know which diddy cup i'd rather win; the CIS Cup or the Alba Challenge Cup.... i'll go for the cis cup.
  15. thought he volunteered to do the tannoy thingy but was paid a nominal fee for doing the IT, i'm told he'll end up doing it for free anyway.
  16. caleyd being made redundant from his IT consultant role.
  17. i'm thinking about cancelling mine, don't see much use in it now. But then again i never actually saw a caley game on setanta, so maybe it could be worth ?11 a month...
  18. mine bought now, had to move to section g, any news on a standng section or is it just stand if you want to?
  19. should give everyone an idea of the sort of fanbase to be expecting next year. a crowd of above 800 or near 1000 would be pretty good, considering its the challenge cup/alba.
  20. sounds a bit too much like a marius deal to me.
  21. start collecting together a team that will stay together and play together, like we had before brewster ruined it all. i'd rather see us mould a team over a few years that the fans can identify with and wants to play for the club, rather than put together a team of rushed transfers and 'journeymen' and get back to the spl at the first time of asking.
  22. agree that its time to go back to building a hard team of highlanders and loyal players. no more marius wannabes or filipe's, more roscoes and barry wilsons.
  23. odhiambo looking for a better deal with an spl club? again a bit of vigurs syndrome going on there, he has only played a handful of games, scored just the one goal (alright he did look like a great wee player on saturday) and then he thinks he justifies a move to an spl club?
  24. looking further back, the highlights of our spl tenure IMO: 1st ever game and barry scoring a beauty Roscoe's last minute 'screamer' at home to dunfermline Roscoe's overhead kick against dun utd Brewsters last minute scissor's kick against hearts cowie sliding the ball in against celtic every one of dargo's goals black scoring that penalty at ibrox first win against aberdeen munro's late equaliser against celtic, think it was the first game of the season few years back hammering gretna 6-1 celtic cup game up until the last two minutes bayne scoring the winner aginst hearts away with their left-back in goals marius getting his first two goals at home to the hibees good times...
