  1. 2-0 win at the start of the season away to aberdeen.
  2. Aberdeen is a shocking example! Sorry but you are kidding yourself with that one. You can look that far back all you want but Scottish football has changed since then and in the current climate going straight back up to the SPL is a very hard thing to do. One thing that does give us a boost is that we are in a better financial position than teams like Dundee and Livi when they were relegated. hey trying to be positive. one thing is we are not in a better financial position than dundee now.
  3. waste of ?1000, its clear there was contact between roscoe and lovell, lovell made the most of it and its a poor red card but we'd never win an appeal
  4. no, not first game, roscoe will be suspended. hopefully win the league on their patch and get another chance to celebrate on the county pitch.
  5. glad it helped. division 1 here we come. :025: :025: :crazy03:
  6. You hope barry comes back to the club one day, but not in the near future :crazy03: How would you know how Robbo and Barry would have done??? they could have come in, transformed the club and saved us from relegation and then i would change my tune and proclaim my adulation for both of them, but they didn't and i can't see what they would have done differently from butch and mo. for now i just don't like robbo, and don't want a return. but barry can come back anytime he likes preferably as a player for nest season.
  7. well they should have been, when they changed the structure to the spl they finished bottom of the league. although they didn't get relegated they still needed to rebuild. although probably not the best example.
  8. disgrace that mihadjuks is not being offered a contract. a seriously good player, looked like a class act with munro in january. apart from him the rest are no great surprises and it looks like we could keep morais and kerr after all.
  9. nah i just keep in check with reality. you're not telling me you'd rather have vigurs over kerr or morais? plus, jim traynor? national newspaper column doesn't sound too bad to me.
  10. seriously, not saying i don't think he could be a good player one day, but butcher clearly didn't think so. he's only the first of many to be leaving the club, and if he leaves and we are able to keep morais/kerr at the club then thats a good bit of business by my reckoning.
  11. thats probably because walter smith didn't leave rangers by falling out with their biggest funder, and then slag rangers off when he went to everton.
  12. if he was doing so much caleyp then he just aint got it to cut it at either spl or 1st div level. how do you know so much anyway?
  13. mcbain has done more for th club than vigurs, and IMO has played better this season. I can't remember the last time i saw vigurs play, surely it aint a coincidence??
  14. it taught me to never go back to an old manager. but robbo and wilson wouldn't have done a better job than butcher and malpas. i hope barry comes back to the club one day, but not in the near future.
  15. rory got an u21 cap or two did he not? not saying he aint good but he aint as good as some on here are saying
  16. butcher made it clear that any player who showed in training that he wanted a game would get one. vigurs didn't do so.
  17. robbo is never going to come back, and thank god for that. has this season not taught you anything????
  18. even if it is true i am not that shocked. butcher doesn't rate him and its his team that he is building for next year. he has been over-hyped this season, he had a couple of good games but to claim he is our only quality player is ludicrous. probably a mistake to let him go, but he obviously didn't show enough to make butcher care enough.
  19. No they haven't. Look how long it's taken Saint Johnstone to get out of there. Dundee, Dunfermline and Livi have never come back after relegation. I know you said you are trying to be optimistic but I think you are kidding yourself with that one. nah i'm talking about the established spl clubs currently in the spl (kilmarnock, motherwell, dun utd, aberdeen etc). They have all been relegated sometime in the not too distant past and have bounced back stronger and stayed back.
  20. so you are spreading a story about caley players based on a rumour you heard while drunk and stumbling out of a club. is it any coincidence that you have made clear your dislike of foran and barrowman for quite a while now?
  21. aaah i feel better already
  22. Just wondering what people thought the positives will be from playing in division 1 next year? 1 cheaper season ticket 2 the revival of highland derbies 3 if you look at the real established spl clubs, they have all been relegated from the top flight and bounced back better 4 away days like palmerston and firhill probably a bit too soon, but i'm just trying to prevent myself from jumping off the kessock... any more??
  23. never a red card, he should have stayed on the pitch. he'll be back to his usual self in the 1st division, and ripping the gy pos to shreds.
  24. CANNOT BELIEVE WHAT I AM READING the players gave everything they had today, and were not helped by refereeing decisions. for people on here to be blaming foran, dougie or anyone else is pathetic. foran has been fantastic since he came to us, and was the focal point of our attack today. he was perhaps a little too complacent with his sitter, but he created more than he spurned. dougie has been a good player for us his season, his running and power always needed, and today he played decently. he can't be blamed for the team going down either. as for barrowman, he could prove to be a good player in the first division, and has had a bit of bad luck this year. the negativity of the posts on here is amazing, and considering the way the majority of fans acted at the end of the game (staying and cheering the players off, singing blackie a farewell and generally looking forward rather than aiming abuse at anyone) it makes me wonder whether these posters were one of those fans, and whether they were actually there or not. Listening to Butcher on the radio and he was almost choking up talking about the club, he is here to stay, and as long as we can keep hold of certain players like morais and kerr, then we will be 1st division champions next year. I'm as disappointed as anyone, the fans and players gave everything, but we went down simply because of circumstances and a single referees ineptitude.
  25. aye blackie was crying on the pitch afterwards, had to be consoled by team-mates. just want to pass on best wishes to blackie, a tremendous talent who won't look out of place in europe.
