  1. its just a pity that 54.35% of people don't appear to believe.
  2. the money we would get from our promotion back to the spl, no doubt dougie would help immensely with that, would dwarf any money we would get for doug now. what if we had sold dods, dargo, cowie, rankin and brown before their contracts had ran out? we would have been relegated a few years back, no doubt about it.
  3. We should not even consider selling doug. If we do take in money (probably around 70k) then we will not spend it on buying in a better player. It will disappear into the club never to be seen again. Not saying that is a bad thing but i think the club has made enough cutbacks to be able to survive without the money. If we keep doug he would be a tremoundous asset, although i know we would lose him at the end of the season for free. I'll admit now that it looks like he is out the door.
  4. if there's one man who can and will (hopefully) fire us back to the spl it is him. just hope he isn't reading this, he does let it get to his wee head.
  5. aye cheers for the info. looking into getting a post office permit, bit of a rip-off really, all you need to be is a bit safe and not go onto private land and its ok by everyone. my old mans a scottish water employee and my stepfathers a forestry commission employee, the inside knowledge is on me. used to live out in daviot, so river nairn easy enough to get to, never caught much but a real peaceful spot. or loch ashie out by gorthleck. tbh stopped for a while but looking to get back into it now.
  6. Anyone know any decent fishing spots around and about sneck? Luckily my old man works for scottish water so i have some access to the lochs and lakes some may not know, but does anyone know of a real hidden gem? (posters who will reply with a snoring smiley need not reply :017: )
  7. I've never understood that point of view. IMO Imrie has been nothing but loyal over the last 2 years or so. Played his heart out in every game i have seen him play under butcher, recognises the fans every time, and is a cracking wee player (arguably our best). Imrie can stay as long as he likes at ict as far as i am concerned, he is a bit of a legend.
  8. no way, this is bollox. imrie would have second thoughts about going, plus hamilton would never buy him.
  9. section g all the way. had to move to there this season, can't keep getting a kevin bisset section seat. already stated my dislike for the main stand. the players usually recognise the north stand more, and i don't think its any coincidence that the team plays better when shooting towards the north end.
  10. Were you actually watching what was happening, the kids had ten seconds to try and score and to HELP each one they got the announcer to do the countdown, it really annoys me when people slate others for trying to help. Even if the so called supporters didn't like it I'm sure the kids did and appreciated what was being done for them. Like most things in life you only get out of something what your willing to put in! Get a life. I wasn't slating the tannoy man at all, i was slating the crowd. Like i said, and have said before, i like having caleyd on the mic. good choice of music, getting better at mixing tracks and talking over the top of them, all round much better. next time, just read a post, take ten seconds out and reeeeelaxx.
  11. aye the song worked well yesterday, the stadium announcer did a good job as well, although i am sure it is a sript that he is given, and not his own personal choice to count down from 10 to 1 around 25 times when no-one else could be arsed. good to have a local man on the tannoys anyway.
  12. what renegade said. except maybe get shane sutherland in for rooney, he looked promising.
  13. oops :P did i notice bryan gilfillan playing yesterday?
  14. Very enojyable performance, some entertainment as well. Every member of the team played well, the new boys were superb, eagles, bulvitis and cox especially. roscoe was probably my man of the match, butcher surely must now see the light. Our most skillful player (a couple of excellent touches and flicks today, could see the big man was loving it) and looks dangerous every time he is forward. lovely crossing as well. snachez had a good game as well IMO, did well taking a couple of touches and then passing it out wide. Might not be the biggest or strongest, but you don't need to be with a smart football brain and nice movement (rooney take note). dougie certainly had a point to prove today, the man was everywhere and typically ran himself into the ground. where is roscoe23? back in the woodwork?
  15. aye i'll be there, maybe with the old man. with any luck we will score at least 5 or 6. nice wee warm-up for the pars.
  16. eye settee you are not alone, an incredible waste of viewing time. the american shows were so bad i actually felt sympathy for david walliams. lee evans is fantastic, he puts the most into a live performance i have ever seen. connolly is over-rated, about a few funny jokes and the rest are just anecdotes you could hear from anyone at work. think the only reason he has such a good reputation is the fact that he is big down south, the english seem to love him, think its because they just don't have a great sense of humour (no offence to the england-based fans on here) , and certainly not a story-teller like connolly.
  17. frankie boyle and jerry sadowitz are superb. if you ahven't guessed my sense of humour leaves a lot to be desired.
  18. hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha got what they deserve, the czechs were the better side. that result cheered me up. any other team and i would be lamenting that result.
  19. roscoe offers a lot more to the club and the team than any other player in the team, watching even the utd game he was the only player telling bulvitis where to play and when to drop off. when playing on the right he is our best attacking player, pace and strength, he just adds a bit of competitiveness and bite to the team. anyway the starting 11 for annan: gk esson rb roscoe lb lionel cb munro cb bulvitis rm imrie lm eagles cm mcbain cm cox fc foran fc sanchez
  20. ah yeah read the article wrong. typical caley fan, living in the past. from what i saw from bulvitis he has a bit to go yet. sanchez is the perfect signing tbh, exactly the shot in the arm we were looking for. the perfect foil for foran.
  21. strange that bulvitis got a long term deal, perhaps he is on lower wages, would've thought that danni was the most promising of those two.
  22. thought the tannoy man was decent enough, forgot hastings name though. i thought it was titch from mfr. Not sure bout that woah song, worked well enough at the utd and montrose game, wait and see, would be nice to have a sort of localish song (without reverting bach to teuchter music).
  23. very promising performace from most of the players today, sign up sanchez as soon as possible after another very good goal and general play. Unsure after games against lower opposition but with him playing utd and doing so well proves his worth. With him, odhiambo and foran up front it would be fantastic. top marks for stratford, roscoe, eagles and cox. all performed up to their standards and with them on form we looked a lot more dangerous going foward. bulvitis was decent bearing in mind he was playing a couple of cracking strikers. much more optomism now, looked more like a team out there tonight.
