Transfer Window
Tidser was one of the best players in the 1st Division last season. Obviously not quite worked out down south. Interesting to see what kind of an impact he makes in the top flight here.

John Hughes
lol If hughes had recently won the second tier european trophy with Aberdeen, I think we'd be prepared to give him a decade to get it right. Man United were not Second when Ferguson took over. What exactly is this John Hughes stamp youre waiting for? Stop trotting utter garbbage, the people will soon be voting with thier feet and Cameron is the one who should pay the price, not Hughes. Cameron has to take full responsibility for this .He had the chance to take on Telfor or Hartley but both carried baggage ie assistants that would need paid and compo . Unfortunately Cameron's decision in appointing John Hughes has been an absolute car crash : you can take cally out of inverness but you can't take inverness out of cally !!! IMHO IIRC one of the newspapers during the managerial saga said essentially that. Hartley was all ready to go, but Cameron changed his mind and switched to Hughes at the eleventh hour. Cheaper option with Cameron telling yogi to appoint an assistant from within the club . Now that he's bombed they might let him bring in an experienced number 2 to try and keep the fans happy . How has he "bombed"? I will let you work that one out mate :-) So after 6 games, you've decided that he's failed - ridiculous thinking. What crystal ball do you use eagle...I would like one.

Coverage of County game
What gingerjaggy says is fair. The season is still far from over and with everything to play for. We will be fighting the next few games in the face of adversity, it could just be the catalyst we need to kick start our season. No Foran, no Draper etc. On the back of the derby you could see how gutted some of the lads were. These things sometimes have a funny way of helping players raise their game...flip side is we could get gubbed, most of us will still be there regardless. Like it or not, want Hughes or not we just have to ride the hard times as fans and support the players out there on the pitch. Its not happy clapping and its not pulling wool over eyes...its support.

If its Foran who is raising the team then it should have been him who was made manager. The players have coped without him in the past and there is no excuse for them not to this time around. Yogi needs to be more active in the dugout, that I agree with. Too many times yesterday he even had his back turned. I hope he isnt too concerned about tainting "Terry's legacy" as he has often referred to. He needs to stop talking about it as Terry's team. Its his team now. Talking about Terry wont help.

Strengthen during transfer window?
1 or 2 centre mids are now essential. Even if they are loans for the end of the season. Polworth and Christie are not holding mids, nor is Williams.

Coverage of County game
Gutless performance, disjointed and wrongly selected team and the fiery performance we have seen from the majority of these players in previous derbies was nowhere to be found. Ross County for all their flaws as a side simply wanted it more, they pressed all over the pitch, were on to every second ball and when it came to aerial challenges they were the dominant team. Yogi may well have had no Foran or Vincent still to choose from and lost Marley Watkins early into the game but why oh why is he persisting with Shinnie at right back. He has been in charge of 3 home games that have seen us score only twice while leaking in 7. He has a perfectly good right back in Raven sitting waiting to get on - use him ffs! Williams im sorry to say will never be a holding midfielder. The boy is an out and out winger. Hasnt got the strength or tenacity for where he's playing. Think the midfield situation will need to be analyzed in the window. We are far too lightweight in there. Toby is not the most graceful of players but he at least put a shift in and was prepared to put a shot at goal when it came his way, something that most others seem to bottle out of when they got towards the penalty area. In some respects I have sympathy for Hughes - he is trying to win over a majority of people that didnt want him or even imagine him being in charge to begin with but he has only taken 1 win from 6. 3 of those games being against teams near the bottom. He needs to get this team back to winning ways or he will find what support he has will further dwindle, County didnt even have to play that well today. Got 2 lucky breaks and shut up shop for their first win in 11. We gifted them that game. Draper didnt help us with his red. Yet to see the footage but he seemed to lean in with his elbow. Bad time to lose our only holding midfielder. The boys really need to regroup and get back to the form both we and they know that they are capable of producing... Rant over

Danny Williams
He is being played out of position ffs. He is a winger, not a holding mid. He had a poor first half but I actually thought he was beginning to grow into the game more as it went on. Judge on what he does in his natural position.

Strengthen during transfer window?
El Alagui would be a great signing, good finisher and physical threat as well as having a point to prove. Even if we got him on loan for the rest of the season...

Inverness CT -V- Celtic
Overall a decent performance, just disappointing that there was no reward for it. Some good football got played at times, if anything we overplayed in the final third which led to a lack of goalmouth action. Though Forster had his fair share of saves to make from distance. As Davie said, take Commons out of the picture and Celtic offered very little, he was their only major threat all game. We had a shaky start defensively but managed to shore things up a bit more as the game went on. I was disappointed we didnt press the likes of Ambrose more, he lacks any real ability on the ball and took forever to get it under control. Williams struggled again in centre midfield, I think at one point he got out muscled by his own first touch, the centre midfield situation needs re assessed. Maybe something to look at in January. Ryan Christie didnt get long but has obviously caught the eye of Yogi if he is prepared to put him into a game of such stature. Would like to see more of him for sure. Another player I would like to see back is Mr Raven. The double left back thing has run its course, time to go back to a normal back four - in Raven we trust. A few positives to take from the game but we will need to be on full form for the visit of County in 2014. Both sides will see it as an opportunity to get some much needed points on the board.

Strengthen during transfer window?
1 striker. More physical than Little Bill and 1 centre mid with Foran and Vincent still out.

Oh right I'm a hero worshiper -look at Hartleys record as a player plus 25 caps for Scotland -back to back promotions -took Aberdeen to penalties and is in the top half of the championship with his part timers -yes he was my choice and I do think Hartley got cold feet after meeting the board . So you start a thread on how great Hartley is and have him as an icon, yet he's never played for us and, according to your information, would probably have turned down an offer had it been forthcoming. You would prefer ICT to offer Hartley the job so we could celebrate being turned down? Where is the advantage in that? I would have preferred Hartley too but my first choice was Jimmy Calderwood. Given that he isn't and never has been the manager (or a player) for ICT, I'd find it a bit weird to have him as an icon and point out how much I like someone with no connection to the club. Especially if I had information he didn't want to join us anyway. I suspect there's a majority on here that doesn't expect great things from Yogi. But this is the reality. I hope he proves me wrong. I'd hope everyone with a liking for ICT does but I'm not too sure. You can see where starchief is going with this -him and AJ have an opinion and don't dare go against them.Fact remains yogi has bombed already - Patrick should have had the game wrapped up by half time ,some of the posters on here think a point is fine . I can see hard times ahead for the thistle .KC took the cheap option and that's a fact. I've never met someone who obsesses over what I say before . Yogi was nowhere near my top choice. But he is the manager of my football club and it would be wrong of me (or anyone) to instantly dismiss him when he is new to the job. I dont really see how he is bombing. He's got our best result against Partick so far this season...

Partick -V- Inverness CT
Clean sheet and a point on the road - decent result. Sounds like Brill had another great game, getting him tied down to a long term deal was a great move. Results went our way so we are back in contention for Europe. Looking forward to the Celtic game, you never know what kind of result you will get.

Azgaz. Are you the man from Section E that I politely asked to F**k off just before half time and then never returned?
