We Could Be Off Bottom Soon
Its nice to see so much positive hype around the club at the moment and were not even bottom yet but with another performance like Saturday and a little help from the Hibees all that will change and i can only see us furthering that gap(apart from against Rangers). We have as a good as a full team to choose from barr Duncan for Saturday and i'm sure they will be more up for this game than ever. Really looking forward to Saturday. Also i would love to see St Mirren get relegated. There the ultimate cheap-skates of the SPL, can't abide them.

Particularly liked that comment. Not quite how I remember people's opinion on his return I was just about to make the exact same comment.... Does anybody actually know anyone that welcomed him back "like that of the prodigal son"??? I certainly don't. The idea of him returning made me cringe.

Monthly Awards
I think they conceded that there was no other way out and didn't want too say so they acted by sacking B******r and getting a good, swift replacment. We were never going to here back from them verbally as they didn't have the bottle to do or say anything major. It was ridiculous that it dragged on for so long and had things panned out like this earlier i can only assume that we would be off the bottom by now and have some sort of continuity in terms of home form especially but should things carry on the way they are survival will become more and more real and the fans will be able to say we were right in acting the way we did.

Break From Tradition ?
has Vigurs being played in central mid before??? dont think i've seen him play there before Played there at home to Falkirk and got taken of at Half-time, played there against Dundee Utd at home and was pritty poor so those are the only 2 occasions he's played there and imo he's no the best there.
-
Richie Byrne
Never saw him play and don't really remember him at Aberdeen so can't recall how good a player he was. He isn't really required at present with Super Lionel at left-back and Hastings for cover so should be a good move for him.

Break From Tradition ?
McBain was really good imo today, best i've seen him play all season and Kerr was reasonably solid and i can only think he will get better the more games he gets. Don't really rate Vigurs as a centre midfielder, think he's better on the left-wing.

Butcher Manager Of The Month?
If there was an award for most improved team then i think we would be world champions.

Month Of Home Games
Chris Porter's gone and he was easily there biggest threat against us but thats no disprespect John Sutton and David Clarkson but i think Pavels Mihadjuks is the ideal defender to keep them at bay, alongside Munro. I can see us sneaking a win against them next week. Black and Duncan will be back and Morais is now fit so all being well we should have a full squad to pick from and given our performance today i really feel very optimistic about the next 3 weeks.

Ict -v- Hibs : Matchday Thread
Thought the win was thoroughly deserved and it was good to see Foran grab a goal as he's looked lively in the last couple of games but i would like to see more of him as a striker. Brian Kerr also gave a relatively solid performance for a player who hasn't played in 6 months. And Djebi-Zadi....what a drastic change, the guy is brilliant. He's solid at the back and appears to be improving with every game. If this is how we perform with a few key players missing then i can't wait to see us when they get back.

Don Cowie
What did he get booked for? Not like him. Hacked someone down right outside the box, almost a pen. The Swansea player got past a few players and Cowie was caught abit flat footed ad tripped him up. Saw the highlights on Sky Sports. That Loach guy seemed a bit dodgy to me. Was Mart Poom not your number 1 at one point?
-
Djebi-zadi
I don't really see Barrowman or Hastings getting back into the team in the near future and to be perfectly honest neither deserve it. Lionel may not be the sharpest tool in the box but he put's in way more effort than Hastings and has shown he does have what it takes at SPL level. I only he hope he can maintain it. Barrowman is not an SPL player atm and i can only hope i'am proved wrong but with the likes of Odhiambo and Rooney now scoring i really don't see Andy getting back in the team.
-
Adam Rooney
There's no doubt that he is the best finisher in the team at the moment so he probably should be starting but Odhiambo and Imrie seem to have struck a good partnership up front so long may it continue. Wasn't there a part of Rooneys deal that said we would have to pay ?75,000 instead of ?50,000 pending on a number of appearences?? Could be the board desprate to save 25k.

Foran And Proctor ?
Its bizzare seeing a striker and defender playing wide midfield but it's only cause we have no width atm. Cowie left, Morais's injured and Vigurs dosen't seemed to be involved for some reason.TB's doing this because didn't have enough time to get some wide players in i reckon. We need Morais back asap though because he is the only right winger we have. Not saying Proctor ain't doing a job but he really has no attacking ambition.

Month Of Home Games
A month ago i would have said this would be the worst month of the season approaching us but now i think this is our chance of getting a consistent winning run on the go for us and will probably our best chance of over-taking Falkirk as well as the bonus of a trip to Hampden, looking forward to this.

Dundee United -v- Ict : Matchday Thread
Wasn't at the game but it sounds like Russell did all he did to protect the lead and i respect him for that, shows he cares at least. I'm not his biggest fan at all but he has been pritty decent last couple of games and could be missed. Although in saying that we have quality cover in Brian Kerr now and i'm sure we will relish this opportunity in the side, should he get it. If a point was on offer at Tannidice at the start of today then i would have taken it but given the nature of it added by Falkirks fluky point i can't help but feel dissapointed. Am i right in thinking that was Eric Odhiambo's first career goal???

Looking forward to it.

Inverness Courier
I agree with Johnboy. Having seen it from were i was sitting it looked a clean tackle and Fernandez simply throwing himself a couple of yards. And after watching it on Sportscene i didn't see anything any different. What a rubbish article, trying to give a negative outlook on Pavels.

Team For Dundee United
Esson Tokely, Mihadjuks, Munro, Djebi-Zadi Odhiambo, Kerr, Duncan, Vigurs Imrie, Foran bench: Fraser, Byrne, McGuire, Zander, McBain, Wood, Rooney

Foran
This is ridiculous How can we sum up a player who has barely kicked a ball this season in 2 games?? Honestly. He needs time to get match fit and he also needs to get played in his favoured role of being up front. Vigurs on the left, Imrie and Foran up front i say. I think he will become a good player for us after a few games.

Is It Time To Punt Mcguire?
If your referring to Bob Malcolms free-kick back in October then your referring to a foul that Russell Duncan gave away. That was a week after McGuire injured his ankle against Celtic. So he wasn't even in the squad.
-
Is It Time To Punt Mcguire?
Defnitely not. He was playing not too badly before he got injured back in October, and now that he's back i think it would be wrong to get rid of him now. He is an experienced defender as well so he provides decent cover for Pavels and Munro. Proctor's no centre-back and Jamie Duff is still rather young so no, not time for McGuire to go. Not while we only have 3 centre-backs.

Chelsea Sack Scolari!
Guus Hiddink and Avram Grant (!!!!) on the shortlist, according to Sky Sports news. Avram Grant?? And i used to think we lacked ambition. Must admit i am not all that suprised to see him go. While Scolari has been in charge they have lost there everlasting home record, dropped to many points against teams around them and teams below.
