  1. We will survive i think. We've been having a bad run of form recently but i think with the 2 home games we have next week following the trip to Easter road will be a good chance to get some results, and i think we will take them. In terms of our squad i think Brew knows only to well that we need to strenghten come January. I think 4 or 5 decent signings should certainly give us a more than capable squad (pending on who we get and if Brews still here). But like my top line says. We will get through it i think.

I think he hinted in the P&J that he wanted a new deal. I for one would give him a new contract. This squad needs all the experience it can get at the moment. I don't really know how we can say he looks past it....he has hardly played any football this season. And in the tricky times when he could have played we may have got something from the games we lost.

I watched him in the reserve game last week and he looked ok for a guy whos hardly kicked a ball this season. It was another stupid idea to throw him in the deep end against Rangers but i think he will end up making that his own position til McGuire returns from injury.
  4. I don't think the players have much time for Brewster or Thomson. I think Brewster struggles to deal with players that are perhaps a bit difficult to work with, e.g Black and Rankin who left not very long after Brew came back. Also the fact that he wasn allegedly very unpopular when he first left the club had me wondering as to why they took him back 2nd time round. A year on from all this and we find ourselves struggling badly in the league with arguably the weakest and most inexperienced team we've had since entering the SPL. Alot of this is down to Brews choices of the team and transfers and so far it's proved to backfire badly. If Brew were to get the boot I think we would really need to get some sort of person to manage the team that will give the 1st team a right kick up the backside and stamp out the complacency that has got into some of our first team players...but then pops up the usual question, who?

Don't want anyone back for a second time. We need fresh ideas injected into this club. I feel sympathy for Rae as the dark blues are skint and he had major injury problems so i find his sacking incredibly harsh. I think Gordon Chisolm would be good, would may'be go for Alex Rae, whats Craig Brown doing these days?? Also Gerard Houllier is still out of work
  6. Defnitely sounds like a man who cares too me....lost for words at what he has just witnessed may'be but he does care. Annoying thing is if you class Wood and Duff as a re-shuffle then we seriously need to get new bodys in because neither of them are good enough to change any game really if you look at who was sacrificed for them.
  7. Bring back Paul Ritchie as player/manager...and with his accountant skills he can certainly do a better job at handling finances in signing players and contracts
  8. Richie Foran is keen to move north again. Was a very good player for Motherwell and is only playing on loan for Darlington...i think he would defnitely be worth considering.

He was injured most of that time, i think people are rating on his performances for Aberdeen.

Knowing Brew it was probably his plan to put Ryan Esson in the starting team. But he wanted to wait and see how Ike gets on. But had it been Brew as manager 2 years ago when Brown left i imagine he may have handled things differently.
  12. He has spent the majority of his career in Scotland, must be about 10 years now. Raith Rovers, Dundee and Rangers and has been very successful with all clubs and in a way the only real professional football he knows is Scottish. I think as a player he would be a good edition to the national team but the idea of him playing for Scotland to me is very strange. But Eduardo did it with Croatia, Almunia wants to with England, and so did Cudicini as well.
  13. Good news . Hopefully we will be allowed to stock plenty into it. Wouldn't mind seeing Caley goalkeeper strips go on sale now....why don't they sell them???
  14. Robbie Winters would be a decent idea i reckon. I hear he is a very popular player at SK Brann and recent players that have come from Norweigan divisons have been good in Scotland, Kalvenes for example(one of Brews signings ). My last idea is that we could may'be go for Jim Hamilton. I know he is a bit of a wanderer but he has been a fairly inspirational player wherever he has gone and with Dargo, Wyness, Mehmet and Brighton all vying for a place he may look to move on.

Bye bye Brew is my view....unless results begin to turn around. I really think this club needs some fresh ideas put into it by a NEW manager, not one that has already been here. I saw taking him back as a step backwards by the club, yes he kept us up. But his choices regarding the team have been rather mistifying and his reinforcements brought in were ok but could have been much better.

Glad to see he is playing again, always thought he was too good to just drop out of the game. Never quite did all he could do with ICT but he's got a chance to resurrect his career now which i really hope he does.
  17. I really don't want to even think about going down as it would be a disaster, financially and for the squad.
  18. AJS replied to strathyjags's topic in Caley Thistle
I think technique-wise he is a better keeper than Michael Fraser, he is also more experienced as he has been in the Scotland squad once or twice. I still think Mikey is an excellent keeper though, but i think given that he has made a couple of hashes like Mikolounas goal for Hearts and Connor Sammons for Killie i think Esson deserves a chance.

When he was first at the club his impact as a player was excellent. His goals and overall play were so good for a guy of his age then. But that was 3 years ago and he is even older now...but i think if he played for just an hour that could really infuence the team. Only drawback is that he is rather injury prone.
  20. Surviving comfortably will do me. Seeing us play decent football at home that produces results. Make some good signings and clearing out the waste players. Get at least one decent result against each of the old firm. Thats my idea of a perfect season.
  21. That is true. I think Wood needs to learn how to put himself about defenders a bit because he is more than capable of doing that. And if he can improve his first touch along with that he will be a much better player.
  22. I agree with what Brew had to say but he should not be complementing a team for scoring into us. He should be angry at his team for conceding another loosing goal. Also, the reason Motherwells strikers where so good is because they are good enough and experienced enough to play regular SPL football. None of ours are. Rooney and Barrowman yes but they need someone out there with them on the pitch that knows how its done. Wood still has alot of growing to do(mentally) and i think he may turn out ok. Don't get me started on Rory. Also another reason there forwards "bullied us" is because Porter and Sutton are 6 ft 1 and 6 ft 2 and Sutton is built like an 18 wheeler. Our centre backs are to finely built to deal with strikers like them. I think we also need a striker like them up front to compete with centre-halfs but we don't have that in our squad.
  23. Everyone was pritty average today , hats of to Rooney for taking his goal so well. But what was Brew thinking with the subs. Black and Rooney off for McBain and Vigurs...thats pathetic. And it takes him till about 3 minutes before the end to bring on Barrowman. And he left on Wood who had a pritty poor game by SPL standards, and Woods mix up with Rooney before Motherwell equalised, what a joke! Imrie as well...totally different from last week. Again it was the same story where we build up fairly well in midfield and then when we get to the final 3rd we run out of ideas or don't have the quality to create the chances....set pieces were well wasted again today as well...whereas Motherwell get one promising one and take 3 points with it. I think we are perhaps lacking some SPL experience up front and on thw wings and thats something i think that needs corrected...i also think Djebi-Zadi should be given a chance as Hastings had yet another poor game.
  24. Says in the P&J today we have dropped all intrest in Atiku. He was pritty poor on trial for Morton apparently. Add him to the lengthy list of no-goes.
  25. I was at the match and i have to say i don't know how Sunderland didn't win. I had a great view of that free-kick and i have to admit it was very amusing as all Fulham fans thought it was going to roll in and they all jeered Richardson ironically. His secind free kick was even better and it took some Sunderland fans a wee while to notice it was disallowed. Cisse hit the bar as well towards the end...i have to admit Sunderland look alot more organised and experienced now that they have strengthened there squad so sufficently. Only player that looked remotely good for Fulham was Jimmy Bullard but he was given a bit of a rocky reception as locals say he is set to quit Fulham.
