  1. Teams should come out to Right here right now by Fat Boy Slim.
  2. Absolute gash, shoulda scored 5...Butcher out!!! Now in all seriousness that is the best performance i have seen from an ICT side in years. 3 out of the 4 goals were crackers (the other just being hilarious). Flow of play was good too. I knew Dundee Utd werent playing well but the quality of opposition could not be forgotten but for all the big names they had they showed next to nothing what they were capable of. At 2-0 it was a big test but we never looked like losing our way. Foran played his best game in years. 2 fantastic goals and a great assist for the 4th goal. Has really got back to his best. Doran should have scored but worked his socks off and still gave a credible display. Andy Shinnie was brilliant in the 2nd half and was in the right place for the 3rd goal. Defence looked solid enough after a shaky start and rarely looked troubled. Phillip Roberts deserves a special mention. Got thrown in at the deep end with a start against one of the "better" teams in the league but he showed signs of being a quality player. He has pace, skill and a proper work rate and his goal was world class. Has immense potential. Reguero as well. A bit off the wall as a goalkeeper but he made a coupld of good saves and showed good handling. So pleased for the lads to pick up their first win of the season. Much deserved and been a long time in coming. Bring on the County next week!!
  3. As has been said this is a long time in coming. Whether refs are to blame or not it became a consistent habit that it ALWAYS seem to be their fault and sadly that is not always the case and that kind of attitude will feed onto the players and build up this "everyones out to get us" attitude. While it might be a good motivator sometimes it is no excuse for recklessness on the pitch. Hopefully Butcher will take this ban on the chin and start concentrating on where his own team should be improving.
  4. Esson Cooper, Meekings, Warren, G Shinnie Pepper, Draper, Foran, Doran A. Shinnie, Roberts Subs: Reguero, Raven, Blackman, Morrison, Brislen-Hall, Oswell, McKay
  5. No complaints with them. Though as always Esson is so underrated. Deserves a much better rating
  6. There is more fight about this team than last season, no question about it. Twice now that we have recovered from 2 goal deficits to take something from a game. Just wish we could start turning these draws into wins. 2 defeats out of our opening 8 games (including Arbroath) is not bad at all but only one win takes the sting out of it. No doubt we have the capability and confident it will come but the sooner the better. Saw Wotherspoon's goal, hats off to the lad as it was a phenomenal strike.
  7. He lives! No question that its him.
  8. 35 to be precise.
  9. Probably the best striker we could have play for us just now and he isnt playing due to a petty squabble. its the Kris Boyd vs George Burley rift all over again and it is a load of nonsense. Both men have let their egos get in the way of professionalism and its leaving Fletcher without the international recognition his form deserves and Levein with the fans on his back over his refusal to pick him. Jordan Rhodes is a talent, there is no question of that. I have no doubt that he will score goals at championship level but Fletcher has been a consistent performer at Premier League level for a number of years now and if we are to ever get anywhere in terms of a major competition we need our best players at our disposal. Rhodes might be good but imagine having both Rhodes and Fletcher available. Personally i think we could do with bringing the likes of McLeish or Walter Smith back, whether they would take the job i dont know but there is no question they would bringing a real commanding presence and respect that i dont think Levein has. If the Wales game is not won i think its only a matter of time before fans call for Leveins head.

    Team v Hibs

If King is fit i want him back in the team. Id go with... Esson Meekings, Warren, King, Blackman Draper, Morrison Doran, A Shinnie, G Shinnie Foran Subs: Reguero, Raven, Brislen-Hall, Pepper, Whyte, Oswell, McKay
  11. Odd. Ian Auld says the club are not appealing. Seems like yet another blooper from Sky. BBC have just reported no appeal as well.
  12. According to Sky the club are appealing the red card decision, Aberdeen are also considering appealing Anderson's red card.
  13. Think there was hospitality on saturday. There was people in the kingsmills suite when I passed and pics on caley jags so think this was a malicious rumour started by our neighbours lol One of my best friends was in hospitality
  14. A real step in the right direction after the last 2 games but just couldnt hold on for the win we crave. Disappointed but not disheartened after that showing. OTJ's red card was the wrong call. Mistimed and poorly executed but ive seen bookings given for worse. Though Anderson got a slight touch of the ball but got plenty of Shane before hand, that was a correct call. Thought Andre Blackman had a great debut. Thrown in at the deep end with a full game and up against a tricky opponent in Jonny Hayes but he stuck to his task well and deserved his man of the match award. Foran worked his socks off yet again. Both up front and in midfield, has improved his game a lot from last season and has already matched his total scoring tally from last season . Another player that impressed me was Draper. He may be inconsistent but at his best he is brilliant. Made some life saving tackles and always looked to break forward. Warren is another who put in a solid display. Raven is taking a lot of shtick. His distribution was poor yesterday and he is by no means the quickest but i wouldnt describe him as terrible. What i would say is that Meekings is probably better at right back and i would imagine when King and Hogg are back fit Meekings will revert to right back once again. At home we look difficult to beat but we need to start cutting out the lack of concentration at the end of games and turn these draws into wins.
  15. Foul and abusive language? What a load of tosh. A late challenge that deserved a yellow and no more. Gutted for the guy as he was playing well at the time and now has to sit out 3 games because of one referees poor decision. Thought Foran's challenge on Fraser was worse towards the end.
  16. just go get one of the ness'cafe's finest bacon double cheesburgers Bacon and loin today. Felt like a change.
  17. All this talk of various fast foods is working me up a serious appetite...and an urge to tweet while eating
  18. Sorry nothing tops the Hungry Horse restaurant in Perth. If the food used to have a head then it was on the menu, proper quality.
  19. He's stronger in the air than McKay and he is better with the ball at his feet than Shane so id rather see him used in the centre forward role. Especially with Draper and OTJ in midfield. What dosen't work in his favour is that fact that he dosent seem to have a great understanding with Andy Shinnie which Billy does. Agreed with TBB he should stay up top but be partnered with someone.
  20. Not sure whats worse. Your overuse of exclamation marks or the fact you feel the need to self harm over football
  21. i know how i'll react. it wont be pretty that is all!!
  22. People will never be totally happy with Butcher now after he broke the team out of their comfort zone. He got rid of the old guard and has tried to put his own stamp on the team which has backfired on him amongst financial difficulty and a failure to retain our better players. He has done what he can to put the team back together over the summer and has also been willing to give the younger lads a chance with places up for grab and i will always respect him for that. His new style is drawing debate after the weekend and i agree with some comments that maybe sometimes we should focus more on getting results rather than playing well and losing. While its a honorable approach it is more likely to see us on the end of a defeat, especially against better teams. Give the man some time. Still dosent know what his best team is and has had a difficult set of fixtures to contend with at the start of the season.
  23. I'm staying realistic, if we beat the teams close to us and pull off the odd surprise result here and there it should be enough.
  24. Bundles of potential but a lack of backbone to see it through. I wish i could defend the team but the reality is we were looking for a reaction to last weeks mauling and Motherwell were there for the taking after their European exploits, they were allegedly fatigued and full of players carrying injuries but they breezed through that game barely breaking sweat. Foran was excellent up front today, gave his all but was jiggered and shouldnt have been on for the full 90. Full backs had an absolute mare of a game. Raven summed up his afternoon when he set up Michael Higdon for his 2nd goal. Shinnie started poorly but did keep Humphrey at bay for most of the 2nd half. Had a bit of sympathy for Warren and Meekings, their individual performances didnt justify that scoreline, though Meekings should have done better for the 2nd goal. At 2-1 we were always in with a shout but for all the effort we lacked a cutting edge in the final third and the likes of Andy Shinnie and Doran failed to display the talents they are capable of showing, though Doran worked harder than most in the team. Cannot fault Darren Randolph. He is one of the best keepers in the league and his performance supported those claims. The penalty save was one thing but the save from Warren's overhead was top class. Ref was far too picky for me today, every corner resulted in a foul, every aerial challenge was a foul, and the challenge on Foran when he was bearing down on goal was a blatant free kick and potential red card. Having seen what ive seen today its clear that Meekings needs revert back to right back. Shane needs to be put up front and not wasted out on a wing he barely runs down and Foran maybe deserves a run in the team as a striker again. We will pick up some results but we need to be stronger as a team when we are under pressure and our better players need to step up and be more clinical when required. Hopefully the international break will see us come back rejuvenated.
  25. Me too, it will be easier for Wigan to track his progress if he is just down the road at Tranmere though. Good luck to the lad.
