Email sent, but doubt it will make much difference. Will be very interested to see what way each club votes. Hopefully the clubs actually listen to the fans, otherwise it shows the complete disregard in which their views are held. Also, what of the impact if a club votes with Rangers, but the overall vote still goes against them? True colours will be revealed.

Probably more likely he's been led in that direction by the interview, and has refused to rule anything out. Trying to keep himself in the shop window. Here's the article... http://www.highland-news.co.uk/Sport/Football/Inverness-Caley-Thistle/Call-me-Terry-Ian-Black-7967195.htm

Different article, but a quote from Justin Edinburgh specifically saying he is signing for us. Seems fairly certain now. http://www.southwalesargus.co.uk/sport/9744203.Exiles_boss_gutted_to_lose_skipper/

Plus we have a game in hand over a couple of the teams above. I actually think we are in a great position. Most seasons before we have started well and almost ran out of steam leading up to the split. Just now we are hitting form at the right time, while others seem to be dipping. Hopefully we can keep it up. I'm actually quite excited about the way the team/squad is starting to gel. It seems strange to say considering the number of injuries we have, but Butcher actually has selection headaches going into next week. 7 changes against Hearts and we still one. Its anyone's guess how we'll line up next week. Sure he'll not be complaining though. He must be applauded in how he has rebuilt the squad, had a difficult start but starting to look really good now.

Replay is live! Switched to Wednesday 18th.
Murchison replied to Caleyuntiltheend's topic in Caley Thistle
Was planning on just watching this on TV with a few beers, but may just be tempted to head over if it's only a tenner. Oh the tough decisions of life! -
Any idea of price to get in? I'm assuming it's just pay at the gate.
-
Yeah but think that cash may be saved until January. I can't see more being added to the squad. Have a lot of injuries just now, but a few due back in next couple of weeks. I may be wrong but Tudor Jones is 8 weeks and think he is the longest out. With these guys coming back, think leaving funds for January may be the best option.

Well done Aaron. Great to see our players getting noticed, and hopefully a start.

Unfortunately this was the expected and all too predictable result. Personally i'm along with 99% of people I have spoken to who didn't think it was a penalty, although wouldn't say Naismith dived. Even McCoist said after the game he thought they were lucky to get it. Ref made a decision which he wasn't man enough to say he got wrong, would have understood and had more respect for him if he did. Everyone makes mistakes. After that, no way they would overturn the red, as that would be admitting Rangers shouldn't have had a pen, which would start all the Old Firm conspiracies. They would be too scared of this season going like last season. Better to annoy the wee diddy team from the Highlands than anger the old firm.

Again I don't have any knowledge of the OP, but with the nature of DLA, it may very well be that people in reciept don't have the capacity to go to lengths to make a case, no matter how easy that task may seem to most people. Smee, I would suggest speaking to or showing this threat to a family member or friend, and getting assistance in making a request and stating your case to the club. Policies such as this are put in place, but i'm sure they can be made flexible on a case by case basis. Someone who knows you and your circumstances would be best to do this for you, if you don't feel you can do it yourself.

Gabby, I was just going to make a similar point. I'm not one to stick up for the OF in any way, and don't necessarily agree with the distribution of TV money, but Rangers and Celtic get more TV money as they have most games on TV. They are on every 2nd week, every time they are playing away. Other teams just don't feature unless playing the old firm. Also, it could be argues that as increased TV coverage always gets part of the blame for reduced attendances, it would be obvious that Celtic and Rangers would have the biggest decline. Their fans see most of the rest of the league as diddy teams, so why pay to see the team at home every 2 weeks, when you can pay Mr Murdoch less to see the same thing, and also find out whats on your favourite players voicemail!! (Sorry, couldn't resist).

Wasn't going to panic after the opening result, but definately glad to see the 3 signings this week. Will add the strength we need to hopefully have a good season. Looking forward to the Hibs game now.

Think he means on another possible signing. It was Alex MacDonald that said this to Hayes and Doran. Maybe hinting he could be joining them up north. Think it's unlikely though as he has just signed a new 12 month deal and has been getting a lot of praise pre season.
-
On the official site now. Delighted to have both on board, especially Doran who looked class last season. Think if we could get a couple sorted defensively we will be going into the season with a good squad. http://www.ictfc.co.uk/articles/20110713/double-swoop_2208825_2392151

Seems to be pretty solid rumour as it's come from the man himself. Will wait until any move is confirmed, but i'd be over the moon if we got him permanent.
-
As far as I have heard, he was told it was a minor pull with only a few days rest required, but ICT wanted him to rest for a few weeks. I understand the club want to make sure he is fully fit before signing him and that is their choice, but it is his choice to look elsewhere if he feels that is best for him. I may be just me but I fail to see how it gives him, or enhances any sort of reputation. He has had a difficult choice, do nothing for a few weeks and maybe get a contract, or accept a trial elsewhere and maybe get a contract. If anything he seems to have gotten through 2 games now for MK Dons uninjured, and is getting to keep working on his fitness, so from that point of view it was maybe the right choice, only time will tell though.
-
Think its slightly harsh to question his dicipline based on this. He is unemployed just now and has been asked to rest for a few weeks in the hope he may be offered a contract. If they wanted him, they would offer him one anyway and then tell him to rest. He got the chance to go for a trial elsewhere and took it. If anyone else outside of football was in the same boat, and was told to wait 3 weeks in hope, or was offered an interview elsewhere straight away, they would do the same thing. If we are not going to offer him a deal just now, then he's quite right to try and get himself sorted elsewhere in the meantime.

Notice on the Official site squad list that Kevin McCann is listed. Everyone else who has been released is off, so anyone heard any rumours with regards to him being signed, or is it maybe just a mistake? Also on Duff, may be against popular opinion, but glad it looks like he is signing on. Not the most flash of players but think he offers good options and cover in different positions. Always feel he does a job wherever he is asked to play. Important for a small squad like ours, especially if you look at the times last season we couldn't even fill a bench due to injuries.

There isn't much snow, but I think the problem is with the risk of ice building up. I stay just outside Edinburgh and a lot of roads are very icy. Hoping it goes ahead, as love my visits to Jambos, but have some doubts.
-
It doesn't improve his performance, but personally I have more respect for the refs if they are able to come out afterwards and admit their mistakes. I was as angry with the decision as anyone at the time, but these guys are only human, and get one quick look at an incident. Can you honestly say we have not had any dodgy decisions go our way this year? These things usually even themselves out over a season. Just be thankful Essons big toe stepped up to save us a point and the refs blushes, and lets not all turn in to mini Neil Lennons!!
-
Well has Esson not only signed a 1 year deal. Hopefully Butcher is planning for the longer term, wanting to get a younger keeper in the squad early, getting him settled, and looking to establish himself, rather than trying to get someone signed up next year. Should hopefully also push Esson to up his game (not saying he needs too, but is better he knows there is strong competition for his place). Think Butcher was quoted as saying he wanted strong competition for every position, well this is it.

Definately interested depending on time and date.

Bayne would be a massive boost for Saturday. While he may not be prolific in his scoring, he is always a handful for any defender which has been commented on by some before. He also seems to manage to sneak some goals against the Old Firm so more of the same for Saturday... PLEASE.
-
Surely if he is looking for £4000, and we had actually offered it to him, there would have been no delay and he would have signed. If he is away to think about it then we are either not able to or not willing to match that yet. I doubt if any deal is struck the full details will be made public (although there are always people "who know people") but the club have always dealt with these things in the right way before and will continue to do so. It is common knowledge about the wage structure of the club and the basic wages payed, but it is not really known how much bonuses are, so I don't know or care to know what each player actually walks out with each week.

My ideal Rockness would be winning free tickets... which I did yesterday!! :021:
