  1. I heard this rumour a few weeks ago too. Seems Rangers want him as cover because of the Thompson injury. I think both Black and Cowie would be a major loss for the club, Cowie did after all win every player of the year awards last year.
  2. Sorry, just don't see what difference that would make
  3. Alex Macleod wrote: "I dont think he's ready for managing but he does have something many others dont. the backing and coaching of a man with a very good footballing brain...............his father." Jock Stein, Bill Shankly and Matt Busby were all great managers doesn't mean there sons were. On that logic we should sign Callum Best as a player, because his father could play a bit.
  4. A few people have mentioned Barry Wilson for manager. What evidence are they basing this on? Wilson was a great player, arguably our best ever player. That does not mean though that he will make a good manager, take Brewster for example - great player, shockingly bad manager. I still think that SPL management should be earned and not handed to someone on a plate (CC,Brew(twice)).
  5. A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away
  6. Your right Smee, but then again I think it is almost impossible to defend Brews managerial record, even Brewster himself can't defend it. He has tried, but there is only so often you can blame "luck, ref decisions or World class goals".
  7. As most of us know Proctor is a right back, he is unlucky in that respect because we have a right back already. He is a 'favourite' of Brewster so is found a position in the team. He is way too small (in height and build) to be a centre back, but then again so is McGuire. For me Duff at least has the physique to be a centre-half . Then again you could also ask - Why was Duff played at right back? Why is Cowie played on the left? Why is Imrie played on the right, Why was Vigurs played in a holding role rather than Duncan? Why was McBain played right-midfield? etc, etc, etc. Brewster has so many ludicrous tactical decisions it is almost laughable....almost
  8. I think he will go for: -----------------Black------------------- ---Duff--Hastings---Tokely--Munro--- Imrie--Wood--Esson--Proctor--Cowie ----------------Duncan------------------ Remember - "A good player can play anywhere"
  9. Think that was CaleyD with the banner (certainly fits the description
  10. Were there any organised protests/chants at today's game? Or any chants at all for Brew to go?
  11. You tease
  12. ANYONE still backing Brewster ?? I would just love to hear anybody who still thinks this man can manage at any level let alone SPL level. 1 win at home this season, 2 wins in 28 games at DU and amazingly only 1 team (Kilmarnock) we have beaten in our league at home in the last 12 months. These stats don't lie. Is there any supporter out there who can defend those management statistics?
  13. Unconventional line-up there :o Not even a place on the bench for Cowie?? Proctor right midefield ?? No Duncan ?? and Mcbain at left back?? As your name suggests, you must be Brewster in disguise
  14. I was pleasantly surprised that I got a reply from the club today regarding my email. Then I come on here and realise that everybody got the same reply, no matter what they wrote or asked.
  15. Okay, I'll join in too Maybe this lady should be given the job (Jordana Brewster). It would certainly get me back to the games and might make the players more 'up for it' on match days She is an actress who starred in "The Fast And The Furious", if ICT were to make a film under Brewster at the moment it would more likely be called "The Slow And The Ponderous" :thumb04: .
  16. Totally agree!
  17. What would be Brewsters excuse at Dundee Utd then? Was it the players fault there too? As basically the same group of players minus some quality like Robson, Kerr etc seem to be doing quite well now they have a manager in who knows what he is doing.
  18. Carlsberg don't do football managers, but if they did - Brewster would probably still be the worst manager in the World
  19. "Thought that would give us a big guy in goal, 2 big target men up front who we could just punt the ball up to. Who needs height at the centre of defence? not us "we'll make up for the lack of height with our pace"! 2 holding midfielders in the middle, sounds like the ideal team, as Brewster has said when quizzed about his formations " A good player can play anywhere"."
  20. I think he will go for : ----------------Wood------------------ ----Vigurs--Black--Imrie--Cowie---- Hastings--McGuire--Proctor--Duncan -----------Munro--Esson--------------
  21. CaleyD, both are used but Geniuses is the generally accepted term. Trust you to go of topic ! BTW, I take it I didn't need to put a smillie in my first post :thumb04:
  22. It must be getting bad for Brewster - even Pele_Is_God is starting to turn against him
  23. Not if Brewster has anything to do with it
  24. Ask yourself this question - Which was the best ever season for a ICT supporter? Go on, think about it. The answer for me is the season that we won the 1st division championship and Bells cup. The next best season is the time we got to our first Scottish cup semi-final and the next is the year we beat Celtic in the famous Scottish cup win. What do all these games have in common? They were all when we were in the 1st division. I think the board have realised this and are determined to get us back to that level. Not as easy as you might think, we do after all have a good squad of players. The first and most important step is to get in an incompetent manager, but who to get? Well Craig Brewster of course - the man with the amazing record of 2 wins in 28 games at DU, if that isn't relegation form then I don't know what is. He does have one drawback though - he is a great player. Don't worry, as soon as he arrives he will retire and concentrate on just his coaching 'skills'. The next problem is Donald Park, I mean with him there we might win too many games as he knows what he is doing, has the experience and the players like him. Not a problem, he will fall out with the manager and leave due to 'family reasons'. Great that means we can get Malky back and re-unite the management duo who did so well at DU, heck we may as well go the whole hog and get all the fitness coaches they had there too, after all you can't put a price on relegation. Next. get rid of one of our best players (Rankin), who I heard in a rumour didn't get on with Park, but wait a minute he signs for Hibs, so maybe it is someone else at the club he doesn't get on with, mmm wonder who that could be. What else can we do? Well don't offer players like Black a contract extension until it is too late and other clubs can come in for him. With the team doing so poorly some of the fans might not be happy and might ask for a change of manager, mmm Barry Wilson seems popular with the supporters, best get rid of him too as some might ask him to become the new manager. Hopefully he will get the assistant managers job at County and then we can say we can't afford to bring him back. Wont the fans become suspicious though if the manager keeps picking strange formations and playing most of the players out of position? No, we will just stick to our stance of "that's what the manager gets paid to do" and "a good player can play anywhere on the field" So, I for one applaud the forward thinking of our current board members. 1st division here we come!!
  25. I think that is fair enough, Happy Birthday Craig
