I have stated many times my dislike of the Niculae signing, but do we really need another Marius Niculae thread ? I think we have plenty on the go at the moment and rather than starting new ones all the timew IHE, why not post them in for instance the "Has Niculae been worth it " thread.

I very much doubt Brewster will play himself before the end of the season because he is frightened of injuring his shoulder

That is also true - geographically speaking a lot of players would prefer to live in the central belt and you can't blame them if that is where they were brought up and where their friends and family live. We have seen this in players such as Dods, Dargo and Mann etc

Do you regard Aberdeen as a much more desirable place in which to live than Inverness...? If so... Why.? I think you are getting confused between Inverness the city and Inverness the football team. I for one am talking about players not wanting to come to play for Inverness the team if they are playing for more 'desirable' teams

Lovell is not a bad player but has had a lot of injuries over the years

Yeh good thinking, on that logic we should try and sign Ronaldo from Man Utd, I'm sure he would love to play for us as Inverness is a lovely place to live. Lets not get ahead of ourselves - players from teams like Aberdeen, who are getting a game and are wanted by the club do NOT want to come to Inverness to play! I know it is not nice but it is true. That's why the ones that do come from Aberdeen like Duncan, Wyness and McCallister etc were unwanted by the club or did not feature in the 1st team. It is a pipe dream to imagine that all the other SPL players want to come to us when the likes of Aberdeen pay better, have a bigger support, bigger heritage, play in the top six most seasons etc etc.

I have said this a few times on here - I think the signing of Marius Niculae was the single worst decision ever made by the ICT board and I blame Savage and Christie for making it. Savage for agreeing to pay him and Christie for standing for it.

I completely agree with what David Sutherland said regarding the signing of Niculae. What Sutherland said - " breaking the club's pay structure with the signing of Marius was perhaps not the board's best ever decision and was something that would have to be re-assessed. " What he meant - Signing Marius was the boards worst ever decision and was not a decision I would have made. If I have anything to do with it Marius will not be here next season" :003:

Why did we take Brewster back? Why did Hissy always run towards the corner flag rather than the goal? Why did Hissy run so strangely? Did anyone from ICT actually know how small Dean Macdonald was before they bought him? Did Paul Cherry ever pull out of a tackle? Was Pele ever sober on match day? Will McCallister get any better? Is it true Vina went bust after Bobby Mann went to the 'all you can eat' restaurant? Do any of the players like Malky Thompson? :tic01:

IMHO, Duncan is one of our better players

I forgot about Macdonald and Watt, so that is another 2 going my revised list to go:Macdonald, Watt, Patty, McGuire, Zibby, McCallister, Niculae and possibly Black if he was a trouble maker (and Hart is off I suppose as he has already signed for C*unty). So that is 9 out. Yeh, if Brew keeps 'falling out' with players then there could be a few more going

With a combination of a lot of players seemingly leaving in the summer, a few past their best and our poor run of form, I think we need quite a few new faces next season. My question is - if you were the manager, how many do we need and in what positions ? For me, players leaving seem to be Hart, Black, Wilson, Wyness (although I would want to keep them all for cover at least). I would say that Patty, McCallister and Zibby are not good enough for this level. I also think that McBains best days are behind him and that next season will be his last at the club. Niculae could also be off with a healthy transfer fee (with a bit of luck). If I was the manager I would get rid of Patty, McGuire, Zibby, McCallister, Niculae and possibly Black if he was a trouble maker (and Hart is off I suppose as he has already signed for C*unty). I think we need a Goalkeeper, left back, Centre half, centre midfielder, winger and centre forward. So, for me it would be 7 out and 6 in.

We managed to beat an already relegated team 2-1 - a team who have lost half their squad due to near liquidation. We haven't won a game against ANY other team in the league since we played Gretna last time. I think it is a bit early to be applauding Brewster too much. :017:

Black was at the game, he was sitting in front of me with I assume his brother, they looked like Frodo and Bilbo baggins :003:. Did notice though that when we scored he just sat there, wasn't even clapping ! :024:
