  1. Yeh saw that, it was Malpas that went to retrieve the ball. Adams waited with the ball at his feet until Malpas came over to him and then rolled the ball in the opposite direction. Very immature, petty and downright disrepectful.
  2. What has changed? For me it is quite simply, as I said in an earlier thread I went to a game early in the season and the line (if memory serves me right) was: Esson Tokely Bulvites Munro Shinnie Ross Stratford Cox Eagles Rooney Foran Now we are playing more like this: Esson Proctor Tokley Munro Golly Hayes Duncan Cox Foran Sanchez (or) Eric Rooney IMHO the bottom team would beat the top team week in week out! We gave the other teams a BIG head start by playing the wrong starting line-up, but thankfully are now playing the right players in the right positions.
  3. When I saw us play at the beginning of the season I thought we never had a hope of being in the top 3 never mind winning the league! Then again the team we have on the park now are a totally different team to which started the season. I went to see us play Partick at home and we had a young left back (Shinnie) playing who I had never seen before, a young winger playing (Ross) who I had never seen before. Bulvites, Eagles, Stratford, even Lionel was playing at the start of the season. Yet Duncan couldn't even get a place on the bench!! If all those guys were still playing I still don't think we would be anywhere near the top, but fair play to Butcher, he has noticed this too (better late than never)and we now have a more settled looking team.
  4. You would drop Duncan and one of our best attacking threats in Hayes?? And also put Sanchez in defensive mid and ross on the left wing....woof thank feck your not picking the team! :) that does seem a strange starting line-up imho as well. I would pick the same team as a lot of you have: Esson Proctor Tokely Munro Golly Duncan Cox Hayes Sanchez Foran Rooney
  5. Brilliant results! Wow we're top!!
  6. Can anyone tell me - Did Jim Baxter actually sit on the ball during a International match against England? My Dad says he remembers Baxter doing this at the corner flag once and waiting for the English to come towards him. Anyone else on here old enough to remember the game? I have searched Utube and the net in general but can't find any footage of it. Did find loads of clips of Baxter doing keepie-ups against the Auld enemy tho :-). Cheers
  7. Unfortunately I went + 2
  8. With the position we are in I will take winning ugly every week!! I know we would all love to win games in style with free flowing football but the points are the main thing. Butcher has done an amazing job, would the moaners prefer Brewster to still be in charge? With Brewster in charge we used to lose ugly never mind win ugly
  9. Yeh, has to be - Larson, Laudrup and Gazza
  10. The board deserve credit for sacking Brewster, but they also deserve ridicule (if that makes sense) for not doing it sooner. I think no one could argue now that Brewster should have stayed. We are a MUCH better team under Butcher and I firmly believe if Brewster stayed until the end of the season then we would have been relegated. No one here was ever anti ICT (as was suggested) but I think we could all see that Mr Brewster will NEVER be a good manager. Butcher and Malpas deserve great credit!
  11. Brilliant result!!! It shouldn't really make any difference, but I ESPECIALLY love when we beat Rangers (I'm not a closet Celtic fan btw) Butcher Is God Are you Yodi in disguise? Happy I am that we won!! Are you Greavsie in disguise? ;)
  12. I think Butcher certainly deserves the MoM award - taking a team who had lost 9 league games in a row to being unbeaten in 4 (winning 2), no other manager has done as well as that. Well done Terry, keep up the good work !!
  13. Esson Tokely Pavels Munro Lionel Kerr McBain Vigurs Foran Imrie Rooney
  14. Good draw in the cup for us. In saying that, it is a good draw for Falkirk as well.
  15. -----------Esson----------------- Tokely Pavel Munro Dzebi-zadi ----------Duncan---------------- Black----McBain-----Foran----- ------Rooney Imrie ------------ Please no Proctor, I used to think he could only play right back but I now think he is rubbish in all positions.
  16. Esson Tokely Mihadjuks Munro Byrne Cowie Duncan Black Imrie Foran Odhiambo I would hope we have signed Kerr and Paterson by Sunday as well
  17. Very pleased to hear we have signed Richie Foran, I really liked him for Motherwell. Don't know who the other bloke is but will wait and see. I would also be delighted if be signed Brian Kerr and Jim Paterson. Hey, thinks are looking up
  18. I like the bandages idea but it might look like a bunch of Rab c Nesbitts (a Rangers fan) and could be viewed as inciting the opposition fans
  19. IMHO Proctor and Esson were to blame for the first goal. Munro and Proctor were to blame for the 2nd goal and Munro was to blame for the third goal. Obviously McBain was to blame for the penalty but it was a great save by Esson. BTW Mahdjuk was very good indeed!
  20. I think we can have no complaints with the penalty decision. Stupid of Roy to get involved again after the penalty was saved.
  21. Unfortunately he is not an Spl player, really has been a waste of a wage for the last year or 2. I remember before we played Celtic in the cup once McCallister was in the paper saying that he saw ICT as a stepping stone to something bigger and better for him. Yeh right, a stepping stone to part-time football more like!
  22. It is for a lot of people. Some people in the central belt seem to think that Inveness is in the back of beyond and our geographical position has certainly hindered us in the past when it come to signing players/managers. One for example would be Ally McCoist who was offered the job in the past and only turned it down on the basis that we were situated too far north and he didn't want to be that far away from his family.
  23. He is local if he lives locally. I never said he was born in Inverness, I am well aware that he was not born in Inverness. What I mean is, if he were to take the job then he would not need to re-locate as he lives locally already.
  24. Local, because he lives (and works) in Inverness, you can't get anymore local than that
  25. I like the idea of giving someone the job until the end of the season with the criteria of trying to save us from relegation and then to readdress the issue. I would like to go for either Craig Brown or Robbo for that job. Craig Brown is obviously VERY experienced (I think we need this at the moment) and has one of the best records of any Scottish international manager and would get immediate respect from the players. Robbo is local, knows and likes the club and would I think be keen to take the job.
