  1. In the short term I think we should have been playing Barry Wilson upfront with Rooney. Barrowman has been injured, I don't think Wood is ready yet and Wilson has shown in the past that he can do a job for us there.

Am I right in thinking that that is 'Cyril' on sportscene? For those of you who don't remember - he is the p***k who was always on this site with his "exclusives", IHE should remember him fondly
  3. Full-time: ICT 1- Celtic 2 :-(
  4. Goal celtic score

I really thought we should have got rid of him a few months ago and not given him an extension to his contract. For me, he was too scaried to get involved and never won (or went for) a 50/50 ball. I think we have wasted quite a bit of money on him in the last few months - I would guess he is on about ?1000 a week for say 4 months, so that would be approximately ?16,000 ?? And for what return?
  6. 5 Imrie 3 McBain 1 Rooney
  7. Who cares?? As long as we win I couldn't care less who scores. I would take a 90th minute own goal!

There are 2 schools of thought if you think someones post is stupid: 1. You express your disdain 2. You ignore the post and hope it goes away As you can see I have gone for the 1st option. Who exactly is going to take over? Do you have several million in the bank that you would like to invest in the club? If so then be my guest and oust the board. If not then at least wait till we have played a few games of the new season before we ask for anybody to be sacked

Sorry if this has already been said but I take it we have actually made a decent amount of profit from having Niculae with us for a year? Please feel free to correct my guess' as all the figures in brackets are off the top of my head (ie made up) :029: Outgoings: Did we pay a fee to a club to sign him (not as far as I know) Did we pay him a signing on fee? (Not as far as I know) How much wages did we pay him in total ? (52 x ?3000 =?156,000) Income: How much did we get from his sale? (?400,000) How much did we get from him being at the euros? (?60,000) Which would suggest not only did we get his services for nothing for a year but we actually made a lot of money (?300,000) and he helped to advertise the club to a bigger audience by playing in the euros.

I think this is the first time I have made it to the end of one of your posts IHE. What happened, did some else log in to your account?? I found myself agreeing with EVERYTHING you said! That's something I thought I would never say :010:
  13. Just over an hour to go if u want to grab yourself a bargain piece of ICT nostalgia :004:
  14. *BUMP* :023: :023:
  15. I don't think that it matters too much where you watch the game from, the likes of Ferguson at Man Utd/Aberdeen hasn't done too badly whilst sitting in with the subs, or Stein, Shankly,Busby etc etc etc. I don't think sitting in the stand will somehow make Brewster more tactically aware or stop him playing players out of position.
  16. I'm sure you are probably right, the board invested heavily in Niculae and I'm sure they would not have been happy if he was not featuring in the first team every week, even though he wasn't fully fit.
  17. Sorry, I thought when you said "start of last season" you meant start of last season (when CC was in charge) :023: :014:
  18. Charlie Christie was the manager at the start of last season not Brewster :023: :023:
  19. Was it deep fried ?? :001:

I have never been a great fan of McAllister but to get four goals in a game is very impressive, it is ok saying - 'look at the opposition' but nobody else in our team scored more than one, so well done Rory
  21. Cheers Peleisgod! Was there really only 50 made? I knew it was limited edition but didn't know how many there was. Yeh should have said this was a gift from CaleyD over 10 years ago
  22. "1-0 to County (Ritchie Hart) 30 yarder" If there was anybody I would like to see score for C*unty (and there isn't) it would have been Hart, I always liked him and thought he was harshly treated by many ICT fans. People especially ridiculed his long range shooting ability :004: :015:
  23. I have listed my ICT commemorate print from the title winnng 96-97 season on ebay. If anyone is interested in bidding on it. It has a low starting price and has no reserve Just click on the link below to view http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...E:IT&ih=014
  24. I would like to see Tokely made captain as I he always gives 100% and has been a great servant to the club over the years. Wilson would be my first choice but it would make no sense to appoint someone who looks unlikely to be here this time next year or to play every game this season. Granty doesn't strike me as an inspirational leader and doesn't give out enough bollockings for my liking. Golly was always great at going mental if someone lost the ball or stepped out of line. If not Tokely then I think Duncan would be a decent shout as he isn't afraid to say his piece during games (I'm sure some refs would say he does this a little too often :)
