  1. Why did we take Brewster back? Why did Hissy always run towards the corner flag rather than the goal? Why did Hissy run so strangely? Did anyone from ICT actually know how small Dean Macdonald was before they bought him? Did Paul Cherry ever pull out of a tackle? Was Pele ever sober on match day? Will McCallister get any better? Is it true Vina went bust after Bobby Mann went to the 'all you can eat' restaurant? Do any of the players like Malky Thompson? :tic01:
  2. Some clubs are famous for their songs - we are famous for our lack of songs Which causes the away support of most teams to sing - What a sh1te home support !! :023:
  3. IMHO, Duncan is one of our better players
  4. I forgot about Macdonald and Watt, so that is another 2 going my revised list to go:Macdonald, Watt, Patty, McGuire, Zibby, McCallister, Niculae and possibly Black if he was a trouble maker (and Hart is off I suppose as he has already signed for C*unty). So that is 9 out. Yeh, if Brew keeps 'falling out' with players then there could be a few more going
  5. With a combination of a lot of players seemingly leaving in the summer, a few past their best and our poor run of form, I think we need quite a few new faces next season. My question is - if you were the manager, how many do we need and in what positions ? For me, players leaving seem to be Hart, Black, Wilson, Wyness (although I would want to keep them all for cover at least). I would say that Patty, McCallister and Zibby are not good enough for this level. I also think that McBains best days are behind him and that next season will be his last at the club. Niculae could also be off with a healthy transfer fee (with a bit of luck). If I was the manager I would get rid of Patty, McGuire, Zibby, McCallister, Niculae and possibly Black if he was a trouble maker (and Hart is off I suppose as he has already signed for C*unty). I think we need a Goalkeeper, left back, Centre half, centre midfielder, winger and centre forward. So, for me it would be 7 out and 6 in.
  6. We managed to beat an already relegated team 2-1 - a team who have lost half their squad due to near liquidation. We haven't won a game against ANY other team in the league since we played Gretna last time. I think it is a bit early to be applauding Brewster too much. :017:
  7. I would play: Fraser Tokely---Proctor-----McGuire-----Hastings Wilson---Hart----McBain-----Imrie Bayne--------Niculae Although I could easily be persuaded to change Fraser for Zibby and Bayne for Wyness
  8. Black was at the game, he was sitting in front of me with I assume his brother, they looked like Frodo and Bilbo baggins :003:. Did notice though that when we scored he just sat there, wasn't even clapping ! :024:
  9. Black was sitting in front of me at the game. With I assume his Brother - they looked like Bilbo and Frodo Baggins :003:
  10. I finally figured out how Brewster selects his team line-ups - he must do it like they do for the Scottish cup draw ie ball number 2 - Tokely, will play .... ball number 4 - right midfield. Then he takes on Hart and puts him left midfield!! Who in their right mind would play Tokely right midfield? I thought Tokely put in a power of work and had a great game despite being out of position. I suppose it could be worse he could have played McBain right midifield, surely not you say , but he did play him there against Rangers at home. We have a very good right midfielder at the club, oh no wait a minute we gave him away to St Johnstone Also, we are supposed to be at home against an average team yet we play the whole game with one up front. I thought Niculae played very well but he had no support and it was 4 against 1. That said, it was a good game and had plenty talking points. Thought we tried really hard in difficult circumstances after losing Duncan.
  11. That's the same team selection I would pick as well Icytea That said, I bet Brew finds a place in the team for McBain. He seems to think McBain can play anywhere - Left back, left midfield, centre midfield or right midfield (what was he thinking!!). I keep expecting to see McBain play in goals - as Brew says " Good players can play anywhere" :024:
  12. BTW this quote came from page 452, paragraph 12, line 42 of the book :023:
  13. CaleyD, I agree with most of what you said, my favourite bit had to be - "Anyway, in short" :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao: Glad you kept it short :015:
  14. "Is Brewster a bad manager?" In a word, yes ! Never liked his style of play when he was here first time - punt the ball up to me guys. Wasn't concerned when he left, in fact I was delighted we were getting so much money for him and the hanger-ons. I was concerned though that he would buy our best players - he bought Proctor - a constant sub for us. Then was amazed we took him back after his DU record. Still don't like his style of play or his man management. Is Brewster a bad manager? IMHO, in a word Yes !
  15. Really chuffed Niculae scored. Hopefully this has increased his chances of leaving in the summer with us getting a healthly transfer fee into the bargain. Lets get back to what we are good at - all the players on roughly the same wages, great team spirit, great work ethic with no 'superstars'. Oh and we need a great manager as well, anybody know of one??
  16. Pele's fitness regime is the 3 B's - Bar, Bookies and Benson & Hedges :tic01:
  17. Or in charge of the nights out, or fitness coach :023:
  18. I certainly agree we need to get rid of Brewster, Thompson and Niculae ASAP
  19. As title suggests - If Brewster and ICT were to part company as a lot of people on here want. Who should replace him? Is there any decent candidates available ?
  20. Okay calm yourself we've all had a drink :023:
  21. I just hope if he is picked for Romania that all their games are at home :014:
  22. We would really miss his goals away from home, how many has he scored again? :015: :023: :024:
  23. You need to work on your poetry - it doesn't rhyme :tic01: Or is it a case of - your a poet and didn't know it :023:
  24. BTW, Pele's record with Aberdeen was much better than Brew's at DU - (Pele - 1.14 points per game), (Brew - 0.6 points per game) , so almost twice as good. Also Pele had a long history of success behind him in management but his legendary drinking definitely put other bigger clubs off
