  1. :015: - IHE been at it again???
  2. Yeah, I just find it hard to believe anything sinister has happened...never know though.
  3. Gutted for the wee man, surely it can't be a performance based decision only 12 games in? I get the feeling that Pele gave them the nod that he was interested if the job was available and they have come up with some BS excuse for giving Stewart the push. Peterhead were doing well under Stewart but I doubt anyone will deny that Pele has the potential (and track record) to take them to the next level.
  4. Probably about 26 games ago :001:

    Dods

I see what you are saying, I just don't think it will be in any way unsettling for the squad since they know he is offskee anyways. Mountains out of molehills and all that!!

    Dods

Harry, there's no secret in the fact Dods is offskee next summer. I therefore see little harm in him advertising the fact in the press to see who will come in for him. If a couple of teams show interest we may just get an offer high enough to let him go in January. Dods has already shown in his efforts this season that he is 100% committed to the shirt while he remains here so I have little worry on that front.
  7. I am led to believe that Mr Savage has been in discussion with CC and many of the players about increased salaries/contracts and I would expect some news on this front in the not too distant future. Although the source is reliable it's not official so I shall leave it here in the Rumour Mill to keep IHE happy :004:
  8. Ralph, What really pi55ed me off about Brewster..... 1. His statements about being commited to the club 48 hours before the announcment he was off. 2. His arrogance at thinking he could remain in charge for the 2 games following the announcement he was off. 3. His constant attempts to sign our players and the manner in which he used the press to try and unsettle our squad. Yes, he did make a contribution to the squad during his time as Manager here, but his actions leading up to, during and following his departure were - IMO - two fingers to the support we showed him while he was manager, and for that he deserves no more than he has got. I think it was Grassa who made a comment about Robbo when he was being touted for a return to us - along the lines of "he has a place on our wall of fame and that's where he will be staying". For me, Brewster didn't do enough during his time here to merit even that accolade.

    Brewster back?

1 Vote for Yes.......Welcome to the forum Mr Brewstrer :015:
  10. I share HC's sentiments....and I think we are due to give someone a right royal humping when the team do click 100%....please let it be against Aberdeen!!!
  11. With Ibrox and Tynecastle crumbling I expect nothing short of a 2nd place finish for ICT this year...anything less and CC must go!!!! :014:
  12. It's easy for Strachan to come out and say the SPL is his priority given the fact they don't currently face any big competition from the 2 clubs who should have been the largest contenders (Rangers and Hearts) to challenge them for the title.
  13. "um...em....um...errr.....and....um....er" End of interview :015:
  14. For those of you who have taken a look at this but are perhaps still a little unsure about it let me post a few facts for you. UK Lottery A single line has a 1 in 14 million chance of hitting the jackpot A syndicate member has a 1 in 1.9 million chance of hitting the jackpot A single line has a 1 in 54 chance of hitting any prize A syndicate member has a 1 in 13 chance of hitting any prize Hit 2 Numbers as a syndicate member and you get £0.84p - on your own you get Zip Hit 3 Numbers as a syndicate member and you get £11.80 - on your own you get £10 Hit 4 Numbers as a syndicate member and you get £115.59 - on your own you get £56 Hit 4 Numbers+ Bonus Ball as a syndicate member and you get £2843.67 - on your own you get £56 Hit 5 Numbers as a syndicate member and you get £61876.61 - on your own you get £1656 Above numbers were based on actual winnings by lottery syndicates identical to the CTO-Lottery Syndicate where the Jackpot was 2.8 Million The odds work more in your favour when it comes to playing the EuroMillions. For a factsheet giving full explanation of the above figures for both UK and Euro draws Click Here With the rollover on the EuroMillions now at an estimated 88 Million for next week, would you rather have a 1 in 76 Million chance of hitting the Jackpot on your own OR a 3600% better chance of winning it as part of a syndicate of friends on here?
  15. I don't think Brewster will get the sack either. He's not the kind of guy who would let that happen as his own personal standards are higher than those of the club and he will walk before he is pushed.
  16. Many of the "Fans" backed the move initialy, mostly due to the fact they felt they had thier backs to the wall and were looking at losing Tynecastle to property developers. They sold out to the first fat wallet that came along despite all the warnings that were plain for us to see. I commented on the subject both on here and on P&B from the outset that the guy was only interested in the real estate that came with Hearts. Romanov is getting exactly what he has been working towards since day one, make it look like he is spending millions bringing in players and improving the club whilst in reality spending nothing, take control of the clubs debts, p!ss everyone involved with the club off and cause them to turn on him.....and the next stage...a statement from Romanov along the lines of "It has become impossible for me to work with this club, despite everything I have done I feel I can no longer continue". He then pulls the plug and either sells Tynecastle or closes the doors on the stadium and develops it himself into a nice profit making scheme of flats. Thier are some genuine fans who will have been opposed to the whole thing from the get-go, but any fan at any time who has uttered any kind of support for Romanov, either in regards to his initial arrival at the club or anything he has done since is getting exactly what they had coming. Romanov has them by the balls and thier is not a thing they can do about it.
  17. Although it is nice to have people who want to invest money in the club (be it hundreds, thousands, tens of thousands or millions) it is just as important to have forward thinking/succesful business men/women at the helm. We are forunate enough to have had such people on the Board over the years and Alan Savage shows all the makings in his past business dealings to be the man to continue that trend. Jeff MacDonald also appears to be of a similar ilk and thats what inspires me when you see names such as his linked to the club and potential investment/involvement. Any financial investment will be great but I don't see these guys as the kind to be looking at thier investment as simply being the purchase of a status symbol, if they wanted that then there are bigger clubs they could throw thier cash at in order to meet that kind of ends. These are the kinds of guys who thrive on the challenge of making things work properly and the success that comes from that is what we as a club can look forward to sharing in IMO. Scotland is loved by the Yanks - they all want to be one afterall. Bigger European have already tapped in to a large part of a (relatively) small "soccer" market in America but I think their is still room for us to exploit the "Highland Roots" angle over there and build an overseas following. As cringeworthy as that may sound it makes a lot of sense to exploit any available opportunity to raise the clubs profile and increase/develop income streams. Provided we don't loose our identity in the process then it's all good by me....Not so sure Texas is the kind of place you'd want to be parading around in a kilt though!!!! :015:
  18. Still no bids on that season ticket then...... :015:
  19. Not tried it, but likely tastes better than the coffee :015:
  20. Will the real Alan Savage please stand up...please stand up!!!
  21. Don't think Alan Savage would be too happy that Mr Smith is introducing himself as the Chairman!!!!
  22. "Going for Broke" is just as valid a tactic as any other, especially in a league which is shapping up to be so tight that every goal/lost goal could count come the end of the season. You really are turning in to a bit of a boo-boy RiG - forget the last time I actually saw you on here giving any praise or credit where it was due without countering it with a dig of some form.

    John Rankin

How can people say he didn't deserve MotM??? He single handedly turned ICT from Howlers to Heroes by scoring 2 and contributing to the third. Even if ha had sat cross legged on the centre spot for the remainder of the match it was these 3 instances that won us the game and IMO anyone who can turn a game from a 2 goal defeat into a win deserves a MotM award, regardless of what they have done for the rest of the game.
