Most people today have paypal accounts (in my experience), if not they are free and easy to set up, I don't think it would prove to be the hassle you may perceive, and once it is done it can be used for various things, not just for sending/receiving sponsorship funds.

I think you giving Black the captains armband would do him more harm than good. Part of his strength as a player is the fact he can be a little wild, and giving him the armband would also mean having to supress that side of his character. I don't think the machine is going anywhere, and he is the obvious choice as captain.

On it's own merit it should have been top 5 at least, but as has been pointed out the whole thing is a fix. However, voting aside I think it was one of the most entertaining Eurovisions in a long time, and based on entertainment value Finland probably deserved the win.
