Don't see much point. It's one of those conversations that takes place every season....get's an explanation every season....but still doesn't prevent the same conversation being had the following season. All I can say is that as soon as there's information to be had, I'll make sure it gets out there. I would fire out some teasers, but that just about got me strung up last time

The potential issues could run sooooo much deeper. What if the winning bidder was to bet on a football match, posts comment online/say something derogatory in public with regards to another team/player/official or any of the many other rules that come with being a registered player? These are not "options" when it comes to being given a contract/registration and they are all things which can carry a financial penalty for both "player" and club. A few years ago I may have even bid myself in order to create a bit of mayhem....!!!

As things stand right now, neither game is due to be televised.

Many of these trialists are guys that Yogi has been aware of for some time. Said in interview recently that he had been aware of Roberts from his (Yogi's) time at Hartlepool....and it appears to be a similar scenario with others as well.

I agree with Sneckboy....to an extent. All the publicity is great and getting a wedge of cash from the sponsor is fantastic....but when all is said and done, it's still going to scare children.

Actually didn't make any difference the size of the plane as larger plane couldn't take off from Inverness with a full fuel/passenger load so would need to have stopped for a refuel as well. A320 in 150 seat layout can range 3500 kmiles. Dont Thompsons use them from Inverness in summer for Spanish island holiday folks. No idea....just know that, of the planes available to the club, then going larger would have also meant a fuel stop for the reasons stated.

Yes, but you then have longer journey times in cramped conditions which isn't great for the players...especially ahead of a game. You also still have to transport kit etc...not impossible, but far harder to organise and you are at the mercy of third party baggage handlers (imagine even one players kit/boots goes missing?). Then there's being restricted to scheduled flight times, risk of delays/cancellations. How do you deal with repatriating an injured player if he needs extra room because he has a leg in a splint or whatever? Again, not all insurmountable issues...but they create greater areas of risk and inconvenience. Just look at how much more it costs to get a taxi than use a scheduled bus service....but how much more convenient it is. This is the same thing, just on a much larger scale and with a bit more planning involved.

I know it's not all about how hard you can hit it, but Jordan Roberts (small k) looks like he can fairly ping a ball after his goal v Clach. May rival Tansey in that department.

Not entirely sure of the ins and outs of it, but there's some rule that allows players to go out on loan to lower league clubs and be recalled if needed....but we can't loan them out to Highland League and recall them if needed!!! Given how small a squad we operate with, not being able to recall a player is a bit risky as you never know when you may need to call on them.

I believe the prospects are looking good for the league season, but Yogi doesn't think he'll make the Astra games. He didn't feature in the game v Clach, but he was out assisting with (and participating in) warm-ups before the game and at half-time.

Absolutely. It's encouraging to see that, despite last season's success, Yogi continues to look at ways to take the club forward. It's also good that he has an appreciation for the financial situation and, instead of just going with his hand out wanting more, he is willing to accommodate change within the budgets set.

I wish the BBC article had stated this directly under his quote and it would just show exactly how much of **** this guy is. The same BBC who had an article stating that Ryan Christie had won Young Player of the Month award for Ross County back in March?
