  1. Fair comment, CaleyD. I was impressed with today's 'Press Release' updating us on the released players and the new incomers.
  2. I really want to get back to 'traditional' tops - for all clubs. Fed up with the fancy 'flashes' and nonsensical 'adaptions' on tradition! Even Aberdeen wearing white shorts looks 'wrong' to me - I associate them as being in all red, for example. I understand FIFA have had some say in what colours teams can wear in the forthcoming World Cup - interfering with tradition! Argentina will have to wear white shorts instead of black, and Brazil also white shorts as opposed to blue. Annoying. I hope they change their stance. I suppose the colours you witnessed when you were 'growing up' are always the ones you'll associate with football teams.
  3. I'd vote for him anyway - which, frankly is why these polls can never be fair - but this time, I genuinely think his strike's the best of those on offer! Get in!
  4. 'Under' squad stipulations regarding age can be varied and often confusing...maybe, at 19 years old Ryan has out-grown that age group?
  5. A constitutional Guinness in the Don View, Donview?
  6. Ben Greenhalgh being released, if true, is maybe not surprising. I'd have liked to see him get a one-year-deal, to see if he could make the break-through. The poor guy has huge levels of expectation around him - which will follow him to his next club - because of the SKY TV next footballer thing and the Inter Milan link. It's probably a curse! The fans of his next club will be on-line doing their research and also discover that he's a Ronaldo body-double....again, no favours! We did/do have a Ben Greenhalgh thread, started-up when he signed - it's worth a look for the cringe factor. No names mentioned, but some folk were getting really carried away by the hype!!!
  7. That's good to hear. Not that he was injured, obviously, but that he was in the frame, initially. I was disappointed to continually find his name 'missing' from the Montrose squad - that's encouraging that he got some game time there - I must have been a few weeks too late in starting my 'checking'! Also, pleasing to have another striker on our books - although an experienced forward is still needed.
  8. I particularly like the top strip with the slightly narrower strips. For viewers in black-and-white, it'll look just like Inverness Thistle! At the games, one can also replicate this effect by wearing sun-glasses.
  9. Thanks caleydawson, for your inside info - hopefully, this is now the updated version of our squad. 10. Not sure if he's being kept on or released (Calum Ferguson). He went on loan to Montrose towards the end of the season and I had been checking the Montrose line-ups to see if he was getting a game, but don't think he even made the bench. From reports, I'm of the opinion that Ali Sutherland may be the better prospect. Edit - Just read on the 'Contract Situation' thread, reported by caleydawson that Ferguson has been promoted to the first team squad.

  12. I hate 'payment gateways' on websites! Talking of payment, the dons can covet Shinnie all they like but he's under contract for next season, so it would take a significant transfer fee. They've already got 3 of my favourite ex-ICT players - they're turning into the 'Brora of the East'!
  13. I know, I know....! I suppose that's why we have a smiley icon for 'tongue in cheek!' ..... Been looking, but I can't yet see one for, 'touched a nerve'!
  14. A first ever trip to Hampden as a 'top flight' team would be great. Managed it twice under Robbo in out 1st Division days - but haven't made it back since becoming an 'SPL' team. I assume it will be ready for our invasion after the Commonwealth games? Just wonder if the fact Queen's Park lost their home ground this past season contributed to their dismal season? They can't afford to do it again with the likes of Spartans, Whitehill Welfare (Mantis payed me), and Brora ready to pounce!
  15. The draw has quickly been re-done....
  16. LOL! There's a real 'dynamic' on this forum between ICTRoughi & caleydawson - it's always 'tit-for-tat'!
  17. Yeah, but by that measure, here's another true but astonishing fact. Terry Butcher has just guided Hibs to their highest ever points haul in the Scottish Premiership!
  18. I'm sure Rory McAllister has stated that he's not keen on going full-time again.
  19. Maybe there's a bit of football-fatigue setting in! It's simply relentless - we never really get a break from it!! This season, there's still the Cup Final to come and the Europa and Champions League finals. Next week it's the Hibernian play-offs. Even then, the season's not over - the Scottish Junior Cup final is on 1st JUNE! There's even a Scotland v. Nigeria game in there somewhere.... Then of course, a matter of days later, sees the start of the World Cup....during which, we'll actually have already played at least one pre-season friendly!! The one confirmed game we've got so far is Elgin (away) on Saturday 12th July - the day BEFORE the World Cup final! There really is no 'close season' this year.
  20. Nothing wrong with Northern Irish strikers!
  21. That's an amazing graphic, RiG! Pictures speak louder than words! Brilliant work!
  22. I would rather pickle my own eyeballs than admit we miss sevco - but as Rene suggests, the luck of the SPFL 'computer' can have an impact on our average - although derby games with County aren't the full house they used to be. The reasons for this have been discussed ad nauseum and I'm almost regretting starting a thread on it after what has been an historical season, but I'm genuinely stunned to see us with just 3,500 in arguably our most successful campaign ever! Where are all the cup final fans? Apathy...and taking it all a bit for granted!!!
  23. Our official average attendance for the season completed was 3,558. Approx 11% down on last season and our lowest ever 'top flight' figure (and broadly similar to the average in our 1st Division promotion year). In real terms, it means 480 less fans, on average, turning up for each home league fixture. It has nothing to do with 'the Rangers' factor as last season actually saw us marginally increase our home average gate. It's probably a blessing that County are still in the top-league. 480 fans disappeared every game, this season. Over 19 home ties equates to around 9,120 fewer spectators coming to the games. How much does a punter spend at the ground? Programmes, raffle-tickets, food/drink etc. Lets say, conservatively £25 per head? It might not sound a lot but equates to a loss of close to a quarter of a million pounds. That's the real cost to the club of those empty seats next to us that used to have bums on them. Don't wish to scaremonger, but long-term, crowds of 3,500 won't be able to sustain us, long-term, as a Premiership club.
  24. 5 out of 15 it was! But, we'd likely have got 10 if we were playing against the 'bottom 6'! This season has really seen a huge gap between top and bottom 6 - certainly by the league table.
  25. Where did our 57 points come from? Home 30 Away 27 St Johnstone 9 Hibernian 7 Hearts 7 Kilmarnock 6 Ross County 6 St Mirren 5 Dundee United 5 Partick Thistle 4 Aberdeen 4 Motherwell 3 Celtic 1
