  1. Back of 7 for me and TSNY I think. I've never been to a midweek game in Dundee #exciting #unique
  2. I'll be there.
  3. He did. I think it's more likely that some of the guys who have been on the bench this season will get a run out than someone being promoted from the under 20s but you never know.
  4. I don't think we'll see many changes - last season for the games against Arbroath and Stenhousmuir we only made a couple of switches. I wouldn't mind seeing Agdeistein and Polwarth getting a run out, in place of McKay and Vincent. Esson to come back into goals as well.
  5. McCaffrey and McBain were superb players for us, shocking choices.
  6. The bars near the station are a little rough and ready, IIRC. The Criterion and the Lorne Bar were two favourites the season we played there.
  7. We should all get guns and roam the streets of Inverness rounding up non-attenders then marching them into the ground every Saturday.
  8. We're like the Queen, we have two birthdays.
  9. Keane was on loan to Celtic the season we were in Division One. Bellamy must be the player who has cost most money during his career, my calculations are that he has cost the following Norwich > Coventry - £6m Coventry > Newcastle - £6.5m Newcastle > Blackburn - £5m Blackburn > Liverpool - £6m Liverpool > West Ham - £7.5m West Ham > Man City - £14m Total - £44m
  10. Don't think John Sutton has done it. I'm wrong actually - his goal last weekend took him up to all 12. This was Thom Watt's quiz question on Twitter last week, I went for Anthony Stokes and Billy McKay, forgetting that McKay hasn't scored against us (or Partick).
  11. You should also change your name to Jesus, just to emphasise your omnipotence. Good idea. You can be my first managerial appointment, I'll give you 37 minutes of the first half of a North of Scotland cup tie.
  12. You'll be paying for that round indirectly via the benefits system so don't get too misty eyed about it.
  13. When I strike it rich in the IT game I'm going to buy the club outright and spend decades running the thing like my own personal plaything, in the style of Jesus Gil, former chairman of Atletico Madrid.
  14. If we win we should give them the money, if we lose we should keep it.
  15. Decent performance from us but we were pushed deep by Celtic in the second half - I think that without Shinnie and Tudor-Jones we don't keep the ball as well, which isn't great. However, we scored one great goal and bagged one from a set piece (as predicted by yours truly). I definitely thought we should've had a penalty in the second half when Doran was brought down by Dick Van Diijk. It's disappointing not to win after being 2-0 up but we didn't play as well as we did in November and gave Celtic a lot of room, you are always running a risk when you do that. I agree with Alternative Maryhill's post, we did seem to fall deep and end up launching speculative balls forward. Vincent looks an OK player, I don't think I've seen his best games, but he isn't the sort of carry the ball forward or to maintain possession. It means we can end up with the ball coming straight back and that's kind of what happened in the second half, with waves of Celtic pressure. Defensively I thought our centre halves did well but we looked a bit vulnerable down our right, Celtic got quite a few good balls in from there. I thought Foran, Nick Ross, Shinnie and Brill all had good games as well. For Celtic, Scott Brown was good I thought. I didn't realise how big this Balde lad is, he's a unit and looked good in the air, not as good on the deck though. Special mention for the pre-match raffle in the London Road Tavern where the prize was - a picture of the new Pope with a Celtic top photoshopped onto him
  16. Philip Roberts scored a hat-trick for Falkirk v Livingston yesterday.
  17. If anyone gets any bother from Celtic fans, scare them with fruit and vegetables http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zd_NSbZOLsU&feature=player_embedded
  18. I loved him when he played for us but he is ruining it. I'd be amazed if this doesn't go on more often though.
  19. Looking forward to seeing the mural on the London Road Tavern wall, it's probably the worst painting I've ever seen. You can't tell the difference between Bobo Balde and Alan Thompson.
  20. That's been the case since we got into the SPL. Our crowds in every SPL season have been much higher than when we were in the lower leagues and had a chance of winning the title just about every season.
  21. I think that some people in Inverness have an inferiority complex. People look at us and think 'it's only Caley' and that Rangers and Celtic are 'real' football. It comes from the legacy of not having a league club and of having Highland League teams that people supported alongside their 'big' team. I think some people in the Highlands have an attitude that 'we don't do things like that' here - we can't have Nandos at the retail park, we don't have people singing and getting passionate at the football. It is changing though, when we were in the First Division we had averages of 1500 people there every week and zero atmosphere. There are also a generation of fans for whom we are an SPL team and always have been, which makes a difference.
  22. Our average crowds for the last ten years 03/04 - 2375 04/05 - 4067 (with half of home games being held at Pittodrie) 05/06 - 5061 06/07 - 4879 07/08 - 4753 08/09 - 4457 09/10 - 3509 10/11 - 4526 11/12 - 4023 12/13 - 4038 If you look at crowds individually then I think that most of the individual games have pretty similar crowds. I think that where we have lost crowds is matches against teams like Aberdeen and Hearts. I remember the first game we played against Aberdeen in Inverness (1-0 loss, Noel Whelan scored for them) and it was a complete sell out, every seat was full. I went to the 1-1 game last season and our end was significantly empty. There is a constituency of people in Inverness who used to go to 'big' games like derby matches, cup ties against SPL sides or games against the Old Firm and they seem to have drifted away now that these games aren't big anymore and are just normal matches.
  23. It's a brilliant flag. I remember standing waiting for my mates outside Firhill for the 2002 Scottish Cup quarter final when loads of our fans came round with it unfurled, singing. Shivers, etc
