  1. I see Nigel Hasselbaink has left St Mirren. Worth a look?
  2. I take it that's the same kind of "passion" Neil Lennon shows. There's nothing wrong with passion and being desperate on win when on the field, but a lot of the time it's not just regular moaning, it's fits of rage which do no-one any good whatsoever. It also doesn't help his case when many of his own performances have been rather sub-standard this season. At times, yes. He's played well in parts, though many of performance, even in midfield have not been good enough and would've merited a dropping had it been any other player.
  3. I think the one the obvious thing that sticks out in these stats is just how milly vanilly Butcher and Foran are. It must be soul destroying for some of the players (particularly capable ones who have to be shipped off to places like Iceland or wallow on the bench) for Foran to have - and let's not beat around the bush here - some utterly awful performances yet still gets played no matter what. And I don't buy this "he's an influential captain" nonsense either, some of his tirades, particularly at some of the younger players and his shouting matches at the referee are cringeworthy and must be detrimental to team moral.
  4. A new keepers is needed and what about Mark Ridgers from Hearts? Also, apparently Kristof Van Hout is nearly out of contract in Belgium. He's the world's tallest player at 6"10!

Stuart Armstrong was an ICT U19 (who's also local) who I believe was released when the club was relegated in 2009. He's now playing for Dundee United.
  6. Those as others have said were Proctor's Twitter quotes I think. I reckon if Hayes does go, it won't be to another Scottish club, it'll be down to the England. I also reckon that there's more chance of him staying than going to another SPL side.
  7. Did Owain Tudur Jones ever sign his deal? It was mentioned he was getting one and he was keen to stay, but I'm not sure if he ever actually did.
  8. Hmm, from Hayes's Twitter - Does that mean in the emotional sense, or the drank too much alcohol sense? What might that be then? A reunion with Rooney? And a big one from Tade - Sounds like that's the end of that then. :tears:
  9. I'd have let Ryan Esson take the penalty myself.
  10. Agreed, while watching the game yesterday I thought he's worthy of a new deal. There's some aspects to be ironed out in his game, but he seems more the complete full back than Meekings (who's actually a centre-half), a player I think is actually on the field only to take throw-ins!
  11. Someone on P&B says rumours going round say Proctor's off to County. Hmmm
  12. Don't go Golly!
  13. I stayed behind at the end for the players lap of honour and Tokely's face looked to me like he saying that that was it. I hope it isn't though - he's one of the clubs best players!

Who'd want to play for Strathspey Thistle?!

I'm surprised. I've only seen him play once against Clach and he looked like he really had something. I hope this doesn't turn into another MacKay-Stevens-esque, shouldn't have let them go scenario.

If he was on trial last year and deemed not good enough, I doubt he'll be good enough this year!
  18. It was only last month that it was reported that some of the Muirfield Mills money was going to spend to enhance the playing squad. I wonder if that's still the case.
  19. The original thread title was better IMO...

I've heard almost from the horses mouth, that there's a real level of laziness within the U19s, with many of the squad not being able to be bothered and leaving the other more dedicated players frustrated.
  21. Should have put that post in the Transfer Targets thread. Sorry.
  22. There's a Norwegian striker in the Japanese league who plays for Jef United called Tor Hogne Aaaroy. While he is 35, I doubt his wages would be that much and a player like this may be something that would be really beneficial. Picture the scene - 10 minutes to go and ICT are 1-0 and hoofing the ball forward and on he comes. He would be unplayable (mainly because he's 6"9!)!
  23. Zander Diamond's maybe someone worth looking at. Experienced, but never really fulfilled his potential. Could do a Darren Dods and come good if at a club like this one.
  24. Does anyone else recollect last season, as soon as safety was confirmed (albeit earlier than this season), Tuffey was given a chance in goal straight away? I see this hasn't happened this season, even though I suppose Tuffey did get a chance a while back when Esson was injured. I wonder then, if Butcher is playing Esson from now on, because he knows Tuffey will be away.
  25. So as things stand, of all the players who're out of contract, the following have not (as far as we know) been offered new deals are Johnny Tuffey, Kenny Gillet, Ross Tokely, David Proctor and Thomas Piermayr. I think Gillet and probably Tuffey will be offered new deals (though I suspect the latter may well be away) and Tokely definitely should (I can see Butcher not though). Piermayr perhaps will be away then, with maybe Proctor following him, though Butcher seems to keep him no matter what. Here's a thought for you though. With all the outrage about Munro and Duncan being gotten rid of last season, I wonder if Butcher will announce those leaving after the end of the season. Does that mean then that he's getting rid of somebody hugely influential and popular with the fans? If he was to announce today that say Piermayr and Proctor were leaving, there might be a couple of disagreeing views, but nothing massive and certainly nothing on the scale of last season. Does this mean then that Tokely (as I predicted earlier in the season), will be one of those leaving and Butcher will only announce it later on to avoid the outrage he knows, correctly will come his way?
