TEAM FOR DUMBFARMLIFE
I think that could work actually. ICT always seem to be a better team when Tokely is in a more attacking role anyway, which doesn't happen so much with him at centre half.

world cup qualifying
Just telling it as I see it. I find it very difficult to get excited about the national team these days to be honest.

ICT v Hibernian: Matchday Thread
Nah I wouldn't have him back. ICT need a goalscorer - he isn't one.

world cup qualifying
I'm not. I can't see the Scotland team qualifying for anything for a long time.

Nick Ross
Have to agree. Thought he did next to nothing today. How he got a Player of the Season award at the start of the game for his performances last season is an absolute mystery, as the second half of last season he barely did a thing. A loan out to a 1st Division or even 2nd Division side could do him the world of good. Sadly though he seems rather untouchable in some people eyes.

Squad numbers
While he maybe be known and has always been known as "Jack", surely though his real name would be John (as is usually the case, from his birth certificate).

Squad numbers
And one would guess that Hogg will get the number 5 with Jones as number 4.

INS AND OUTS ?
So is that the last of Butcher's new signings with the news of Hogg signing and that apparent "new centre half"? Or is there something yet to come....
-
Chris Hogg signs again
Well I'm absolutely delighted with this news. I would actually go as far as to say that I reckon Hogg (even on the short spell he had before) is/was one of Butcher's best signings. As I say, I'm pleased he's back as he was one of my favourite players last season.

How many nationalities have played for ICT?
Was there not two Slovakian boys on trial a couple of years ago? Both strikers, one of which scored against Forres or Lossiemouth or somehwere IRCC. One of them was called Ogi or something.

The Pre-Season Thread
Did that closed doors game against Stirling ever happen? Never heard about it.

How many nationalities have played for ICT?
I suppose we could include trialists as well to get the number up - Chris de Waght - Dutch (trialist in 2008 against Buckie)

How many nationalities have played for ICT?
Moving on from the other thread, it got me thinking - just many nationalities have played for ICT? There's been quite a few now, so lets see how many there's actually been. It'll also be interesting to see what other countries haven't contributed yet. Each go one new nation at a time - it's more fun that way! Owain Tudor-Jones - Welsh

Owain Tudur Jones signed
I'm optimistic about this signing. If Norwich were keen to pay ?250,000 for him, then he must have something, though apart from his name I know little about the guy. Certainly adds some robustness to the centre of the park, which is undoubtedly what is needed.

Before the window closes ?
IIRC Craig Brewster was looking at him before he got the sack. From what I remember, he said he going to Hamilton instead and then changed his mind and went somewhere else (Leicester perhaps?), despite giving Billy Reid his word. When he eventually did go to Hamilton, he played three games (but not very well apparently) and then decided he wanted away. Something to do with his American girlfriend being unable to settle in Glasgow I think was what prompted it. I see he has also since been on trial in America with Chicago Fire but they didn't want him. Can't see him coming here to be honest.

Before the window closes ?
I see a poster on P&B named "Caleyfan" says that Scott Boyd and Darren O'Dea will be coming (the former for an "undisclosed fee" and the other on a season long loan). Doubt either is true. It should also be noted that this is the same poster who posted rumours about Andy Kirk coming, but then claimed he made it up for some weird reason.

Before the window closes ?
There is that new investment though. Would Mensing really be that expensive?

Motherwell -V- ICT : Matchday Thread
Did anyone hear Butcher's interview before the game yesterday? Sounded a bit down in the dumps I thought.
-
Gary Mackay-Steven
Story of his career I'm afraid. A great young player, but constantly injured.

Before the window closes ?
Would that Simon Mensing be worth looking at? He can play quite a few positions, especially that ball winning holding role. I was quite impressed with him on the occasions I saw him last season.
