It was in last Tuesday's Courier apparently.

According to today's P&J, Piermayr and Gillet have both been offered new deals. It also says that Butcher already has a new sub-keeper lined up and hopes to have a couple more players signed up within the next few weeks.

I see the ex-Hamilton keeper Tomas Cerny is without a club. A good keeper I always thought, but is he too good to be a back-up?

The key word here is "sometimes". Of course there's a time for it. There's a time to shout and give others a rollicking and there's a time when some simple encouragement is the best method. A point I read once about Brian Clough was that he knew exactly when to be ruthless and when to give the old "arm around the shoulders" approach. The problem with Foran is that is all he does is the former. Everyone gets frustrated, but the way Foran goes about showing it on the field, particularly when it is not needed, must be detrimental to team morale and makes him look nothing more than bully and one likely to cower behind the manager if anyone were to ever question his ayatollah-like approach.

Apparently, Tade's looking for a team if France before he will sign for ICT.

I take it that's the same kind of "passion" Neil Lennon shows. There's nothing wrong with passion and being desperate on win when on the field, but a lot of the time it's not just regular moaning, it's fits of rage which do no-one any good whatsoever. It also doesn't help his case when many of his own performances have been rather sub-standard this season. At times, yes. He's played well in parts, though many of performance, even in midfield have not been good enough and would've merited a dropping had it been any other player.

I think the one the obvious thing that sticks out in these stats is just how milly vanilly Butcher and Foran are. It must be soul destroying for some of the players (particularly capable ones who have to be shipped off to places like Iceland or wallow on the bench) for Foran to have - and let's not beat around the bush here - some utterly awful performances yet still gets played no matter what. And I don't buy this "he's an influential captain" nonsense either, some of his tirades, particularly at some of the younger players and his shouting matches at the referee are cringeworthy and must be detrimental to team moral.

Tansey would be no great loss IMO.

A new keepers is needed and what about Mark Ridgers from Hearts? Also, apparently Kristof Van Hout is nearly out of contract in Belgium. He's the world's tallest player at 6"10!

Stuart Armstrong was an ICT U19 (who's also local) who I believe was released when the club was relegated in 2009. He's now playing for Dundee United.

Those as others have said were Proctor's Twitter quotes I think. I reckon if Hayes does go, it won't be to another Scottish club, it'll be down to the England. I also reckon that there's more chance of him staying than going to another SPL side.

Did Owain Tudur Jones ever sign his deal? It was mentioned he was getting one and he was keen to stay, but I'm not sure if he ever actually did.

Hmm, from Hayes's Twitter - Does that mean in the emotional sense, or the drank too much alcohol sense? What might that be then? A reunion with Rooney? And a big one from Tade - Sounds like that's the end of that then. :tears:

Agreed, while watching the game yesterday I thought he's worthy of a new deal. There's some aspects to be ironed out in his game, but he seems more the complete full back than Meekings (who's actually a centre-half), a player I think is actually on the field only to take throw-ins!

Someone on P&B says rumours going round say Proctor's off to County. Hmmm

I stayed behind at the end for the players lap of honour and Tokely's face looked to me like he saying that that was it. I hope it isn't though - he's one of the clubs best players!

I'm surprised. I've only seen him play once against Clach and he looked like he really had something. I hope this doesn't turn into another MacKay-Stevens-esque, shouldn't have let them go scenario.

And of course, by the renegade way of thinking, that statement is based on a Fraser of four years ago in a relegation season. No chance that the guy could have improved a lot since he left us. Lets look at Tuffeys record though. This season played 9, defeats 5, draws, 2, wins 2. Shutouts 1, goals against 11. Rene, I think you are being blinded by Tuffey's reasonable record at Partick No, just taking the words from people who have actually seen him play this season.

Because he's miles better than Fraser, that's why!
