Summer Transfer Window Thread
Somebody mentioned on Twitter that he'll probably be wearing number 26. Seems to have worn it at his last two clubs.

I see they also had Eidur Gudjohnsen a few seasons back and played in Europe around the same time. According to transfermarkt.co.uk, Cercle bought Doumbouya for £213,000. Strange then that only a year later they would let him go presumably for free.

Apparently Jamar Loza has not been offered a deal and has returned south. I take it El Alagui's eage demands were too high. The story about Foran not offering him a deal due to match fitness sounds like nonsense to me.

Friendly at Nairn
A tweet and a Facebook status telling folk the game is on surely isn't too much to ask. Especially given that they seem quite happy to tweet about all kinds of other nonsense like Pokemon and the Great British Bake Off.

I was basing him on what I saw of El Alagui the last couple of weeks. In my opinion, Loza was not as good. Loza reminded me a wee bit of Ibra Sekajja. Lots of place but never looked that dangerous. Think we need to take another look.

My two cents - Jamar Loza looks fairly quick and direct, more of a Miles Storey/Billy Mckay type. His goal was a bit lucky though. Not as good as El Alagui. Gavin Gunning - Seemed to ball at everyone constantly and not always in a positive manner. That, compared to his injury proneness and general odd behaviour means I would shed no tears if we didn't offer him a deal.

I might be wrong, but he does bare a strong resemblance to the guy I saw. I notice he's followed Horner back as well...

Hearts -V- Inverness CT
If anyone doesn't believe that there's NO BUDGET yet, just look at Richie's face! We can't even afford razors anymore!

Could be anyone, but I saw Lewis Horner sat in Starbucks the other day with a stocky black guy. Could be a friend of his of course...or possibly someone on trial...

Friendly at Nairn
Even stranger, a few weeks back the club Twitter announced that a game down the Bught (presumably against Inverness City) had been cancelled due to rain. They'd never mentioned it was on beforehand.

Hearts v Inverness Caledonian Thistle Football Club Pride of the Highlands
I wonder if a back 5 would work for us. King can't play, while Hearts often line-up with a 4-4-2 with two attacking wingers. A wonder if a back 5 would neutralise them. Something like - Fon Williams Horner Raven Warren Meekings Tremarco Tansey Draper Vigurs Boden Fisher Bench - Esson, Polworth, Mulraney, Brown, Doran, Sutherland, MacRae

Press and Journal suggesting today that we will make an offer for El Alagui. Potentially a very good signing IF he can stay fit.

Next week's game, along with the initial set of U20 fixtures are being played at Station Park in Nairn.

Ex-ICT players' news
Also I see Andre Blackman has joined Jordan Roberts at Crawley Town. This is his sixth club since his bizarre spell with us. He's only made 13 first team appearances in that time.

Apparently Brora Rangers' striker Paul Brindle (from Muir of Ord and previously with Clach) is a target for Barnet and Lincoln City. Possibly a target for us? He could be heading to the level we normally scout from so I wonder if given time he might come good with us as well.

Ex-ICT players' news
I see Jordan Gibbons (who we brought in on loan from QPR in 2013) has retired through injury. I see he's only 22 and had a short spell at Yeovil before retiring at the end of last season.

When you say 'ICTFC Pride of the Highlands' out loud it sounds like some no-mark political party contesting a council by-election.

Matchday Thread v Partick
Surprised to hear Foran claim that Boden had a good game. My own view and that of everyone I spoke to post-match was that he was very poor. I don't think he has the work rate to play as the lone striker.

This. I don't have a problem with the name being initalised (there's clubs in the world that don't have their name on it at all), but this Pride of the Highlands stuff is just embarrassing, naff nonsense. Seems to be something that club seems to embrace these day such as that horrendous 'Together We Believe' claptrap. Reminds me of a while back I was going to buy that ICT hoodie thing that came out before I saw that the dreadfully tacky '#TogetherNess' was written in big silver letters on the back. The club lost the sale from that.

Did we ever sign Aiden McKee, the youth from Edinburgh?- Summer Transfer Window Thread
Probably a lot of truth in this. Tremarco, Raven, Draper, Horner, McNaughton and Jason Brown can all play in there. To be honest, a centre-back who's 6"3+ would be nice to have but we could survive without.- Summer Transfer Window Thread
Seemingly Cove Rangers centre-back Blair Yule is (or has recently been) on trial with Doncaster Rovers. Surely he's worth a look for us as well.- Summer Transfer Window Thread
I'd have thought Thurso Caley Mahonio would've been a better name. - Summer Transfer Window Thread
