    I don't know if he's been suspended but from what I gather he's essentially been ostracised. Heard on Saturday he had been holding talks with a club down south over a pre-contract and won't be picked again.

    I listened to a good interview with Ruud Gillit a few months back and he made a good point about playing with one up-front. It can work, but he's got to have pace. Billy Mckay could do it because he had the skill, the pace and the work rate to hold up the ball, pressure the opposition backline and brings others into the game, as could Rooney and Storey and to a lesser extent Ofere. The problem with us is Doumbouya (who always seems to start no-matter what) is pretty awkward in possession, doesn't seem interested in the ball unless it's played right to him and is perhaps one of the slowest players we've had in years. Boden has been a hideous signing while Anier looks more like a number 10 and Ebbe is an unknown quantity. That then leaves Fisher. He has the work rate and a fair amount of pace and from what I've seen looks like he could be a very good striker if he's given a run of games. To my mind, when he's fit he should always start especially if we stick with the one up-front philosophy.

    Considering the injury problems this season, the illness at the club and our general battle to stay up, was it really wise to let Jason Brown go out on loan?

    It might just be me but some of the players just don't have the same fire in their bellies anymore. I thought Anier was okay and had he been signed after we lost Billy Mckay, I reckon he could've gotten a decent scoring record in that team, but we just don'thave those players anymore. And why oh why was Doran dropped? One of our best players last week and now relegated to the bench. Our team selections look more and more like they came out of a tombola to the day.

    Scored a few goals against Highland League sides, but looked a headless chicken a lot of the time. Seemingly didn't sign for us as his agents doubled his demands on the realisation he'd be playing in the Europa League. I seem to recollect him agreeing to join club and then changing his mind and joining Port Vale despite already being unveiled by the first club!
