I'm sure I posted somewhere at the time the amount of defensive line ups we went through in the dire 2011-12 season. Tokely, Gillet and Proctor all played the whole way across the backline that year I'm sure, while others such Meekings, Hogg, Piermayr, Cox, Golobart, Shinnie and Williams were in and out of the team, as well as the likes of Tom Aldred and Claude Gnakpa who came in and then swiftly disappeared. Not a happy season on the whole. A great win over Celtic yes, but we only really stayed up due to a dreadful Hibs team and a bankrupt Dunfermline.

My preference - Fon Williams Raven Warren Laing Tremarco Draper Tansey Doran Polworth Cole Mckay Subs - Hoban, Mulraney, Anier, Fisher, McCart, Mckay, Vigurs

Not quite relevant anymore, but I see Adam Straith is or was up until recently, on trial with FC Ordabasy in Kazakhstan. We couldn't sign him due to visa issues apparently. I wasn't at the reserve game where he played as a trialist myself, but those who were there who I've spoken to have said he wasn't that impressive.

I get your thinking, but I'm not so sure. Despite his infamous playing career at the back, the defence was often something, under his tenure here, he struggled to get right.

Surely we can't drop Cole after yesterday's display. He was excellent. I'd be inclined to keep Raven in too.

I'm under no illusions that some people cannot make every game. If I were one of them though, I would temper my opinions accordingly and certainly wouldn't arrogantly question the level of support of those who attend far more matches if it did not suit my own agenda.

If Fisher plays for the club again, surely he has to start over Anier. Anier and Mckay are too similar IMO.

Peter O'Rourke is usually pretty reliable.

Could Fisher be re-invented as a centre-back? Draper's always looked a bit dodgy back there.

The decision to loan out Jason Brown again looks more short sighted by the day.

I may be wrong but I don't think the white one worn by Mark Brown was ever worn during a match. I remember the sky blue one and the gold one of the same design, but I think there was a green version as well. These two were crackers -

Losing to County twice is hardly the biggest disaster and losing to Alloa away was bad but it was only 1-0 to a side who at that time were flying in League 1 at the time and we did hit the bar. Losing 6-0 to Celtic has happened a couple of times before and will undoubtedly happen again. Tynecastle was bad but don't forget, we did have chances that day as well as it seemingly like every shot Hearts had seemed to find it's way in. It might have only been 3-0 but the Accies game was far far worse. Our defence was horrific, we missed a poorly taken penalty and could literally not make more than two passes all night. Add to that that it was essentially a must win game (at least according to our manager) and many of our players hid. It was the lowest point. Absolutely no question.

Sky Sports are reporting that they expect Raith Rovers to name John Hughes as manager this afternoon.

Wonder if we've already seen his final game for us then... McGowan would be a great signing, Laing I'm not so sure. I was under the impression he was a bit dodgy.

So we shouldn't post rumours at all then? Should we just keep quiet when he hear or think anything that doesn't fit with the happy clapper rhetoric? You're free to ignore if you want but that doesn't make it go away or mean isn't true.

It must be part of the reason why CTO doesn't seem anywhere near as busy as it used to be. Anything critical posted, no-matter how accurate is immediately shot down by the Together We Believe... mob. Sad!

I'll put this in here as it isn't really a senior tournament but why haven't the club entered the North of Scotland Cup this year? Don't the club want to pit themselves against the likes of Invergordon, Golspie Sutherland and Tain St Duthus?!

It is a good source who isn't exactly known to make up stories. Again though, phrases such as 'what I gather...' are used in the English language when one wishes to show that they are not sure if it is 100% accurate but seem to have a reasonable amount of truth to them. If you have heard the opposite re - Fisher though, please feel free to share.

Do you have evidence to the contrary? I am only passing on information which looks increasingly likely to be true I heard from a good, reliable source.
