  1. Boden looked alright when he came on last week, but by and large he's looked terrible. Against Elgin he made Vigurs look hardworking! Fisher though is another matter. He's always impressed me. Strong, powerful, fairly fast for his size and very hard working, he's exactly the type of guy you want in there next to Mckay. Yet he hasn't played since Hogmanay and sometimes doesn't even make the bench, as well as being seemingly further down in the pecking order than the aforementioned, usually rubbish Scott Boden and Sunday League superstar Dean Ebbe. There were rumours a while back that there'd been a fallout behind the scenes and alas it looks as though this is true. At times like this, we need players like him in the side and the manager should be the bigger man and let bygones be bygones. His decision not to include Fisher could have huge consequences come May. We were partly relegated in 2009 by Butcher's ego. Let's hope we aren't sent down by Foran's.
  2. Don't remember this one, I do remember Nicky Walker though. Did he not have a habit of coming miles out of his goal when the ball was at the other end?
  3. Is that a huge caravan or a tiny plane?
  4. Is County Air like Derry Air?
  5. For those who have any interest in style, I saw Richie's jacket in the Topman sale last week (only £35!).

This in more Caley Thistle-esque colours please!
  7. I've always thought that Mckay and Anier are too similar to play as a front two. One ordinarily would think that a Fisher-Mckay combo with the creator/finisher set-up would be the way to go but looks increasingly likely like we'll not be seeing Fisher again. No appearances on the pitch since Hogmanay, even when we go behind and start lumping balls forward. Looks like the rumours of a fall-out have a strong hint of truth to them.
  8. And he's signed for Blackpool.
  9. McNaughton was never really a centre-back even in his heyday.
  10. Any fans caught booing should be made to take a walk of shame around the pitch at half time of the next game and made to write Together We Believe, Together We Achieve a thousand times on a blackboard IMHO.
  11. Sounded to me like instead of being in talks with a number of keepers, they put all their eggs in the Logan Bailey basket. He's a bit above their station I'd have thought.
  12. The absolute state of this. The fact he was overall a successful manager (that I do believe) does not mean that poor management, bullying and ostracisation of certain players cannot be criticised. Perhaps if Yogi's man-management style had been better, especially with the board and the players, he'd still be in the job.
  13. You know it and I know it, John Hughes could have shot one of the players at training and one of his happy clappy, superfans would've heralded it as great management.
  14. What a difference when we play Polworth in his proper position. Been one of the best players on the park two games running now.

  16. I'm sure I posted somewhere at the time the amount of defensive line ups we went through in the dire 2011-12 season. Tokely, Gillet and Proctor all played the whole way across the backline that year I'm sure, while others such Meekings, Hogg, Piermayr, Cox, Golobart, Shinnie and Williams were in and out of the team, as well as the likes of Tom Aldred and Claude Gnakpa who came in and then swiftly disappeared. Not a happy season on the whole. A great win over Celtic yes, but we only really stayed up due to a dreadful Hibs team and a bankrupt Dunfermline.
  17. My preference - Fon Williams Raven Warren Laing Tremarco Draper Tansey Doran Polworth Cole Mckay Subs - Hoban, Mulraney, Anier, Fisher, McCart, Mckay, Vigurs
  18. Not quite relevant anymore, but I see Adam Straith is or was up until recently, on trial with FC Ordabasy in Kazakhstan. We couldn't sign him due to visa issues apparently. I wasn't at the reserve game where he played as a trialist myself, but those who were there who I've spoken to have said he wasn't that impressive.
  19. Slightly disappointed I'm not getting an ICT-style test card...!
  20. I get your thinking, but I'm not so sure. Despite his infamous playing career at the back, the defence was often something, under his tenure here, he struggled to get right.
  21. Surely we can't drop Cole after yesterday's display. He was excellent. I'd be inclined to keep Raven in too.
  22. I'm under no illusions that some people cannot make every game. If I were one of them though, I would temper my opinions accordingly and certainly wouldn't arrogantly question the level of support of those who attend far more matches if it did not suit my own agenda.
  23. Every game.
  24. Especially coming from a poster who doesn't attend matches.
