  1. Last time I had my black tie on somebody had just died.... :010:
  2. So it's all his fault :rotflmao: Ok... Laugh if you want.... I think it is very significant that in my last year in Dunfermline town, the Pars not only finished 4th in the SPL they also reached the Scottish Cup Final.... Look what's happened since then...!! Caley are now on the verge of a top six (maybe higher) finish, and where are the Pars..? Some might suggest Caley have progressed since Brewster became involved here, and that the Pars have gone into a deep decline since his departure... I think it's something much deeper than that..... and it should be a reminder to any club, just how important some its supporters are... :018:
  3. I hope he will consider putting in an appearance between now and the end of the season - if he is injury free and fit - It would also be good if the supporters were given the opportunity to give him a good send off as a player.... Coming from Dunfermline, Brewster was the reason for me going to watch Caley, when he replaced Robbo...
  4. I agree with this sentiment. We should try to keep him. Cowie/Rankin/Black is becoming a very strong midfield. Shame to break it up for a mere ?100K I tend to agree too, but unfortunately when a player is forced to see out his contract with a club he no longer wishes to be a part of, it can consequently have a detrimental effect on his, and the team's performance...
  5. Whatever anyone's got in mind for him.... Tommy Burns is unacceptable...
  6. :022: to that.... I hope you'll consider a career in football management when you hang up your gob strewn boots, Rig..!!
  7. Good point.... A well established and proven performer at this level.... :018:
  8. I get the impression from this interview/article that Brew is very keen to keep Rankin here, and hopes he can persuade him to stay.... I hope he succeeds..... http://www.pressandjournal.co.uk/displayNo...;pNodeId=149229
  9. You showed some restraint there, Laura.... He's only made two posts on this site - and the other one wasn't much better... I can't think of any other member of our current squad more worthy of a testimonial than Bazza.... :022:
  10. :015: As FW once famously said.... "Sometimes - once you get so far down the thread you've forgotten where it was you read something...."
  11. I think it's common knowledge now that his wife is expecting, and wants to live a bit closer to family and friends in the central belt... I believe they also put their house up for sale during the period he was frozen out the team. Brewster has certainly made it clear he would prefer him to remain an ICT player, but if their minds are made up what can you do..? I just hope it works out for them where ever they go... I'd hate to see someone else fall victim to the Highland Curse... >:D
  12. :015: That's Uhura of a comment.....!! Do you have Fife connections..?
  13. Could be a fantastic night.... Especially if we record our first ever win over the Dons earlier in the day.... :022:
  14. TCS is presently, probably within reasonable walking distance of North Kessock, Clach..... But that's hardly civilisation as you and I know it...!! :001:
  15. I can't shed any light - but I'd guess the idea is to reduce the wage bill for the rest of the season, and to leave our options open regarding Morgan's future...
  16. Quite right too..... I wouldn't take my jacket off for that kind of money.... :018: What a derisory and insulting offer.... :017:
  17. I was thinking in the future when the proposed new by-pass to link the A9 with the A82 is established. I certainly don't think the citing of Falkirk's new stadium should be held up as a shining example of the way forward for our national sport.... As far as I'm aware there are no plans to relocate the OF to the outskirts of Glasgow, or Man U to the outskirts of Manchester - or to move Liverpool, Newcastle, Chelsea, etc, etc.....
  18. I'd say are both are competent enough defenders that could play in either position... I said earlier I thought Proctor was more effective getting forward and supporting the attack than Rosscoe.... Rosscoe must have read that - he was superb coming forward today (yesterday - just in from J.Foxes) Some great touches for a big man - Really made me eat my words - :022:
  19. I've only been in Inverness for a few short years, but whoever came up with the idea of installing ICT's stadium in just about the most god forsaken hole it would be possible to find around the city, should have his/her head examined. This was obviously someone who quite clearly had no respect for the people of Inverness, and no respect for football lovers anywhere in Scotland.... Most football stadia throughout Scotland are, and should be, a major part of a town/city's community - local shops, pubs, restaurants, etc are surely entitled to derive some benefit from visiting supporters.... That doesn't seem to be too much in evidence around these parts.... There already is a stadium inside Bughts Park that successfully staged the shinty cup final during the summer.... Couldn't that be expanded to become ICT's home and yet still be used for major shinty fixtures...?
  20. I agree... Perhaps the idea is to allow the 30 or 40 Gretna fans an opportunity to pay their respects....
  21. But that would just create more sick people.....
  22. Sorry Charles.... Hope I haven't got you into serious trouble here.... Of course all you were doing was setting out three groups of facts relating to the spending of CGF cash... What I should say is that I am in complete agreement with the comments made by Chris123, Proctor, Kingsmills and Scottie in response to your tirade, er, em, straightforward and extremely lucid presentation of the facts in this matter....
  23. Well somebody's wrong... I think what Michael's trying to say is that he dives to the kick-taker's right - ie - Fraser's left.... :014:
  24. It has to be at least 100k at the absolute minimum.... :018:
  25. Will he be any good in Europe though...? :024:
