  1. It is the Catto family that have gifted their shares.
  2. The Dvd is worth the price alone for Iain Auld's (and Davie Balfour's) fantastic commentary which brings a tear to my eye everytime I watch it,
  3. Ordered the dvds on Tuesday and received them today - great service. Looking forward to reliving that glorious day in May.
  4. Just ordered 3 copies - great xmas gifts.
  5. Maybe it would be easier if we just list who is fit.
  6. We have attracted investment. However that will only go so far and it has to go hand in hand with higher average crowds.
  7. After listening to Yogi's interview about his contract I thought he came over as honest and genuine and it is true that his family is in Edinburgh and this must be a big factor after 2 years (and not an excuse) in deciding his future. Listening to his to the tone of his comments I do not feel that he has made up his mind to leave. The Chairman and Board have managed this club in a successful and sustainable way for the last 5 years and I have every confidence that they will continue to do so.
  8. You will be missed Laura, good luck.
  9. They requested permission to speak to Wright and he didn't go, so I don't think you can assume anything at this stage.
  10. I suspect, as far as ICT is concerned, that very soon he will be his storey To the contrary he is very much making his mark and will be fondly remembered whenever he departs.
  11. The £35k for Iain Stewart turned out to be a bargain for the club as he proved to be a very valuable player for us.
  12. Duncan Shearer's book also has good bit of ICT in it.
  13. Great to be back on our winning ways and hopefully this result will kick-start the season. I thought we did okay in the first half without creating any real chances. In the second half the team came out with a determined attitude and bossed the game. Christie showed his class with his movement and cross for Vincent to score. The goal from Storey looks better every time I see it and he showed a lot of promise. On the second half showing we more than deserved the 3 points.
  14. If Stokes comes as part of the deal, then given our drastic need of getting a genuine goalscorer, I think we need to accept this offer. The club do offer longer term contracts. Foran, Doran, Warren and Meekings, for example, all have 2 to 3 year contracts. Watkins was an unknown quantity when he first arrived so it would have been unwise to give him a longer contract at that stage. Once he did make an impact he was then on the radar of other clubs and chose not to sign another contract with us, so I don't think there is much the club could do about this.
  15. Did you actually read my original post before jumping to the defence of the club? There is no "grand plan" but it is clear for all the good the board has done in the past to keep us out the red, they have missed an opportunity this year. We will probably never have as successful a season as we did last year and we failed to build on it. If we were ever going to attract new fans to the club this was the year but instead they have been caught sleeping. I would only expect reinvestment of the earnings from last year but the numbers don't add up. We are down on numbers and quality from last year when the club should be in our strongest position ever after the year we just had. As for letting Ross and Shinnie leave for absolutely nothing the year we were no longer entitled to reimbursement, that is just embarrassing. If we continue to make basic errors like that then we will always be a small club. Did you actually read my original post before jumping to the defence of the club? If we continue to make basic errors like that then we will always be a small club. Ross and Shinnie were offered new contracts and rejected them, end of story. Do you seriously think that Shinnie was ever going to stay with us when when other clubs were interested and offering him a big increase in wages.
  16. Harry, in regard to the length of contracts, the club gave 2 to 3 years deals for Doran, Foran and Warren and there are others with 2 year contracts. Shinnie was offered a new contract but he was never going to sign it when other clubs were sniffing about.
  17. You know how to cheer me up the morning, IHE. As much as I would have loved to see him back here on a loan move I just wonder if Billy will be able to replicate his ICT scoring form at United.
  18. He didn't really back him as such, he just said he understood his views but didn't support him. He then went on stay that Celtic have the biggest budget so therefore get the pick of the best players etc etc I did like Derek Macinnes comment about Collins: "he got a lot to say for an assistant manager"
  19. There is no doubting his ability and if came to us with hunger and the right attitude, then he be a good signing if it happens. Hughes also said in the stv interview that he would be hoping to sign a defender and striker in addition to Viguers.
  20. Hard one to take conceding the late goal but as others have said we would have taken a point before the game. The team played some good stuff and hopefully once we get a few more players back we will compete strongly again. The players deserve great credit to bounce back from last week.
  21. Perhaps this result puts our defeat into perspective. They are not a bad side and we performed fairly well over both games.
  22. The impressive number of fans were a credit to ICT.
