In regard to either club getting financial backing on their own, the answer has to be be a resounding no. I saw at first hand the delaying tactics and downright hostility displayed by some Councilors and officials in its dealings with ICT over the £900k grant. It was a minor miracle that the club eventually got this funding and I have no doubt whatsoever that Caley or Thistle on its own would have had no chance of similar funding. ICT come up against considerable planning and funding challenges in its formation but theses challenges would have been many times more extreme for a single entity. In my opinion, the merger was the correct way forward and the success on and off the field is vindication of this difficult decision.

Well, I suppose he can use his expertise of getting a relegated club promoted. That's if he's still the manager next season.

They have a bigger stadium capacity and can therefore house a larger away support than us.

I'll never forget Hislop's fantastic bullet header against Clyde. It was advantage us after this result and I think we were all confident that we would win the final game but there were a few nervy moments such as Clyde going into the lead before our game kicked off and SJ drawing level. As soon as Ritchie got the 3rd we all knew that was it. A great day which has to be up there with all the great moments that we've experienced in ICT's short history.

Great news about Draper which has really cheered me up. I think we are well set up for next season and once we get a couple of strikers the squad will be the envy of many other clubs.

Good suggestion Alex but this company is owned entirely by the Scottish Government, so there is no chance of them giving over taxpayers money as sponsors. The company is owned by the Scottish Parliament but is run as a Private Ltd Company and I believe the taxpayers money that went into saving the company and the airports has been recovered long since. This company operates in the black and is making decent profits. Bearing in mind that advertising generates income I dont think the parliament would object to some of the profits being used for such purposes. Besides advertising budgets are tax deductable so it would mean a little less going to the UK treasury. The company gets the majority of its funding from the government as a direct subsidy. So even though in name it is Ltd company in reality it is an arm of government and therefore would not be allowed to sponsor a football club.

I really enjoyed tonight's game. We played as a team unlike County who played as individuals and with no team spirit. Foran was immense and looked really fired up for the game. Brill made a superb save early in the second half which could have made things interesting but apart from that we were very comfortable winners.
