  1. 1) Inverness 2) Inverness 3) 77/78, then a gap until I caught the bug again from 1989 onwards. 4) Inverness
  2. A great confidence booster for the start of season, let's hope they can continue the form with an opening win against St Mirren.
  3. Taxi for Sheerin
  4. I think the deal has now been done. Should be confirmed later tonight or in the morning.
  5. Compared with how I felt at the start of the last 2 seasons I feel confident that we have a squad capable of competing well next season. The team may have its work cut out to match last season's high finish but I don't think we'll have to worry about a relegation battle.
  6. Is that Gringo junior in the photo or is the guy from the Happy Mondays
  7. It still hurts me to think about this game. What a shocking defensive display but great team comeback (well almost). Are support was fantastic that day and nobody left early even at 4 goals down (I bet that stand had never been full before that game).
  8. Superb news. He proved to be a crucial player for us last season and I fully expect him to be so again next season.
  9. It looks likely that OTJ will be moving on.
  10. A big hand to the fantastic support - keep it up for next season. It's also great to see such a good bond between TB and the fans.
  11. Please give a little bit of credit to TB and the team for the massive achievement of reaching top 6 and the highest ever placing in the club's history or is that you're a little bit sheepish about the fact that you were tipping us for relegation back in September
  12. I have been present at most of ICT's historic games in the past 19 years but much to my great disappointment (and shame) I will not be able to go on Sunday. I will be supporting and willing the team on from a distance to get over the finishing line and finish off the season in 3rd - where they deserve to be. Please everbody who is going give an extra shout on my behalf.
  13. A very proud day to be an ICT fan. Well done to the team and the management for this great achievement. It makes it even more pleasing when you consider that so many people tipped us for relegation this season. Onwards and upwards for the rest of the season.
  14. Apparently Raven and Draper are very close to signing (or have signed) new contracts.
  15. A great 3 points today. The result was more important than the performance and hopefully the team can now kick on and consolidate the position that was achieved by the good work last year. I'm pleased that Mackay got a goal today and that should do wonders for his confidence.
  16. Where's "Deep throat" when you need him?
  17. Put me down as a possible. Do you need boots or can you use trainers on the astroturf?
  18. Clach were in the initial discussions but I think they pulled out of the talks mid 1993. I think they felt they could prosper better as the only Inverness side in the Highland league rather than joining the merged sides.
  19. The problem for County could be how long will it take for the new players to gel into the team. If Dundee can get run of a few wins, it could make the relegation battle interesting.
  20. Hard to believe this is almost 20 years ago. So many great memories of Caley, Telford Street and the Howden End, however this Howdender has no regrets about the merger, and the subsequent achievements and successes, in my opinion, vindicate the very difficult and troubled process to complete the merger.
  21. If my memeory is correct, the last game between Caley and Thistle was in April 94. A certain Billy Urqhart scored the winning goal (despite the small fact that he wasn't a registered player - result!).
  22. Brilliant news that TB and his management team are staying. If we could now just get Andrew Shinnie and some of the other important players signed up for next season, then we could have a historic season and build something special for next season. The only catch is that the better we do then the more likely that TB will attaract the attention of some other clubs.
  23. I fear he is going to go, will be pleasantly surprised if he stays. As for possible replacements, here are some that I strongly do not want: Jimmy Calderwood - vastly overrated John Robertson - Great manager first time around but I don't think he would be the answer again Barry Wilson - not ready yet but could be further down the line Maurice Malpas - he's not a number 1 Anyway hopefully Tel will stay and we can draw breath until the next club comes calling for him.
  24. Mr megabucks has taken my earlier thread to heart and is now going to invest in a proper drainage system - better late than never I'm really enjoying that the sheen of the early season County hype has been tarnished and the reality is coming out for public display.
