  1. Meanwhile............Celtic had to come from 0-2 down at home to Lyon to snatch a draw with 2 goals in the last eight minutes in a friendly today. Not good news if you are a Celtic fan :_funny:
  2. Watt played a few minor games for us as well. I liked Eagle, good ball retention and prepared to go backwards to go forward. Not very direct but handy to have in the squad.
  3. Bleak times ahead for Scottish football indeed. Following on from last nights fiasco by Celtic, their green cousins are being thrashed by Maribor. Who I hear you say, are Maribor. I checked and they are in Slovenia. They have been domestic champs six times, but hey ho, another sad night for Scottish clubs in European competition. 3-0 at the moment. :furtive2:

OK folks, thread getting too personal, decision made to close thread. Good news for Cox though.
  5. :_blah: :salute: C U Soon
  6. I'm sure it's top of their agenda and a response is on it's way as we type.
  7. I couldn't give a toss about our co-efficient in Europe, it's not going to affect me or ICT at the moment. However, I do care about Celtic getting humped...........I think it is hilarious, however I won't be bigging up our chances just yet as although they were soundly thrashed in this game, they are one of the best Scotland has to offer, which unfortunately sums up the standard of our league. Every year they (Celtic or Rangers) win the leaugue at a jolly from the also rans, and almost every year they get put to the sword by some backwater Euro side. That is disappointing, but Celtic being stuffed is just fabulous.
  8. Sorry guys and gals, it's that time of year again.........................yes, the new SPL season is almost upon us. Last season was a brilliant one to be involved in, as the climax to a memorable First Division campaign came down to the wire. Well, almost the wire as Dundee wilted under the superb effort from our lads. Yes, it's get your superlatives out time, as once again we look to build a dedicated bunch of scribes fit to grace the front page of the site. What does this entail I hear you say? Well, if you can put together a coherent and abuse free article which will be informative and to the point then this is your chance to entertain the rest of the site users. Thanks to a lot of input last season, especially by a couple of our younger fans, granty24 & Ginger Jaggy, we managed to cover most matches involving ICT as the frenetic end to the season boiled down to the last few games. It was a joy to preview/report on last season. We started with Dundee setting the pace and Inverness clinging on to a top six spot (in the first div) by the skin of their teeth. Dundee then raced into an insurmountable lead, yes, it was cut and dried...........or was it. By tea time on Boxing day, we had played the same number of games as Dundee, had failed to beat them in three attempts despite outplaying them, and were 12 points adrift. Game over. The points gap grew as the weather hit hard and the fixture list was in turmoil. But, unknown to most fans, Wilsonourwing excepted, ICT had already turned the corner and the chase was on, despite the points gap growing. Unbeaten since losing 2-1 at Partick at the end of November, despite Tokely scoring early for Inverness, we were to embark on a 21 game unbeaten league run that would see us gain promotion. We took on allcomers and with Dundee being reeled in rapidly we upped the pace. In our final surge after the bell, with Dundee now hitting the wall, we cruised past them in the home straight to win the league at a canter..........eventually, but not before a few fingernails were reduced. We had beaten every team in the league in the last lap and turned what at one point was a deficit of 15, into a healthy 12 point advantage. That is an unbelievable 27 point turnaround. We had Dundee fans gloating about losing a two goal lead on more than one occasion, well, I think we shoved that one back down their throat big style. Anyway...........I digress. There are no prizes for guessing the number of cliches, or hyperboles......or spelling or grammar mistakes in this post. This is just a taster of what we are looking for to make up the articles for the front page. I am sure there are plenty of budding reporters out there itching to have a go, so, if you fancy it, drop me a PM, or post below and I will be in touch. I know we have some excellent match summaries on the matchday thread, but maybe some of you could expand on them and produce your tabloid version for CTO. Yep, that's you yngwie, Mantis, alternative maryhill, doofers dad....etc etc etc, cor.....did I type that out loud? criteria:- Easy to read. Enjoyable. Touch of humour does not go amiss. Factual account.......the video will be your friend for the reports. Keep it clean, no abusive content. If you can't understand how it should be read, then the rest of us have no chance. Make it your own style, we have no templates for these previews/reports although tried & trusted is a good guideline. Remember, it's for the site members, and we have a diverse lot, in age and mind.....so BIG LETTERS FOR SCARLET, short words for me.
  9. To be even more of a pedant.............it should not be Caley either, but the reference to this team should be Caley Thistle, or ICT, or Inverness. Caley are dead, remember that.
  10. Innes & Gil...............I thought it was a new bar opening near the stadium???
  11. Wakey wakey folks, it's a pre-season kickabout. We lost, big deal. Lets not all get our knickers in a twist about this one. When the big games start, the big players will be playing and that's when to judge them. Fleetwood Town are probably a decent side and the SPL is just an average league, we have no rights to be talking about thrashing these kind of teams and if it is a wake up call then good.
  12. He's a strapping loon Shane Sutherland, he could be a surprise packet this season.
  13. Eric's at it again

Of course, Geoff Capes was an athlete, or was he just large............ It's a bit like discriminating against black athletes because they are too fast. Trust me, there is a lot more skill in golf than there is running as fast as you can for 100 metres. During the Open, those that made the cut had to walk for approximately 16 miles, whilst hitting a ball and controlling it sufficiently in different conditions and knocking down a wee hole in the least strokes possible. Some starting times were 06:30 in the morning and off for a four mile stroll, which meant rising at 04:45 to be on the tee for start time. Now let me think.......on yer marks, get set, go...........10 seconds later, thanks a lot mate, that'll be 100 grand. I'll stick with my judgement that those that are good enough to earn the money at what they do deserve it, regardless of size.
  16. McGhee must be a good shout, I se the Dons lost 3-1 to Fraserburgh in a pre-season kickabout. McGhee said there were positives to take from the game.................try telling that to his ever faithful fans at Aberdeen, they are not amused.
  17. Nice to see them watering the plants, has it been dry in Stellaland.

It ended up as a breeze for Oosty. Charles your comments regarding the athletically challenged are a tad narrow minded and wearing thin. You have a go at these sports every time they are on. Maybe the plumper sportspersons deplore the adonis athletic ones.
  19. I doubt too many would be interested in half a team playing a poor highland league side, or for that matter that anybody will give up their time to film such events. Maybe the ones against European opposition, but not the ones involving the u19 players against rubbish local teams. I may be wrong of course.
  20. Get real mun.
  21. Do I need to buy a new hat?
  22. Cheers for all the updates dude.

Young Rory not completely blown away though, 4 under for today through fifteen holes, that's a great comeback after yesterdays disasterous round in the wind.
  24. According to the official site, games are either 3:00pm or 7:45pm see official site below Clach report.
  25. ok guys, settle down, game over, thread closed.
