  1. Looks like Broonie will get his chance to play in the Champions league for Celtic as Boruc injured his shoulder in pre-season at Newcastle. He played today in Celtics 1-0 win over Parma. Good times for Broon, enjoy it while it lasts.
  2. Ahh right, I get it now, Marius Nicolae is the team leader at Errea and they will not release him until the order has been dispatched to the Tulloch Stadium. Well they are quite right, we need our strips. Maybe he will take the strips over with him thus saving transportation costs. SORT IT OUT :33:
  3. Rory does not need some fans, he was booed during the warm up when he missed the goals and the laughing and ridiculing of him will not help his confidence. How I prayed his shot was going to burst the net, but alas it was not to be. I do think Woods maybe has the edge. Rory seems unable to get off the ground to challenge in the air when closely marked. Woods for me seems more powerful and has a more bustling style of play, I was impressed when he came on at Clach, he certainly made the most of his ten minutes. He missed a header yesterday, unable to get any purchase on a floated cross, but he at least got it on target. Rory always seems to start games well, then he gets frustrated and disappears, shame as he must have something, we have yet to see it cocsistently though. Chin up Rory but you have to be in it to win it, more physical presence would not go amiss. Woody, keep knocking on the door, your time will come.

    Win at county

The County goal was actually diverted into the net by Grant Munro. The ball was screwing about three yards wide until it came off Munro's foot as he tried to block the shot. I was right in line with the striker and the goal post. At the end we should have maybe scored another couple of goals, but good saves and mediocre shooting kept the score close. Closest I remember County coming in the second half was from a scuffed left footed clearance from Fraser which only went about thirty yards and he looked a bit marooned when the ball was hit goalwards, but it screwed wide. Zander is great to watch, he is the most exciting player in the ICT team, worth a longer run in some games. First half for us, Wyness had shot charged down by Bullock, Rory lashed the rebound over the gaping goal, not by much, but nonetheless still over the bar. Roy badly sclaffed a decent cutback from Rory, squidging the ball twenty yards wide from a decent position. County were decent enough for an hour, without really creating too many clear cut chances but the game really turned with the introduction of Zander, he stuck to the touchline and we started to pull County across the width of the pitch and for the first time we were able to penetrate their back four. We scored two, Caffs volley from an acute angle about one yard from the goal line and eight yards to the keepers left, but he flashed the ball high into the roof of the net to surprise everyone, including himself.....cracking goal. We did create another couple of decent late chances but no more scoring. Granties second goal came from a poor Rankin corner, which was back heeled at the near post into the penalty spot, knocked down and Grant lashed it high into the net from ten yards. We probably just about deserved it for the late showing, but the first seventy minutes were a waste of time. Just remembered, Rory hit a ferocious looking shot which beat the diving Bullock but crashed back off the top of the post for what would have been a great confidence booster for him and a spectacular goal for us to watch. We tend to now look at his weak points and forget the good things he does, in another move he drifted off the defenders shoulder, chested the ball forward and hit a shot which Bullock saved well, so all is not lost for Rory yet.
  5. If Mike does not make it as a keeper, he could probably have a career as a winger, he fairly ripped the piss out of the Dingwall strikers when he dropped his shoulders and shimmied past them at least on four occasions :021:

Mee here First half utter sh1te, Rory managed a wee shot straight at the keeper, and then blasted one over an empty net (after a rebound from a shot from Wyness), that was about it. Granty's own goal was an unfortunate deflection (it was heading wide) but he made up for it early in the 2nd half after a short (sh1te) corner from Rankin, and a wee stramash in the box. Zander coming on 15 mins or so into the 2nd half coincided with much better play from us, Caff's shot was from a really tight angle and I think even he was surprised that he scored! And then AT LAST Blackie got on and we had total control and direction - and started playing like an SPL team. Woods got 10 minutes and had a few goes but none with any power and were easy saved by the Beast (lol). The big tasty black French guy took a while to get warmed up but once he had Blackie in front of him he seemed to come onto more of a game. Worth the money for the last 15 minutes alone. MoM - Zander, he was the most entertaining player by miles, Mike Fraser skinned their forwards a couple of times much to our delight and Blackie was terrific as always (and didn't get a card). Nice goal from Caff! TM4TJ will be on in a wee bit to agree with me!!!!

    Away top

    Reeeeaaaaally :029:
  11. Well, I woke up Sunday morning With no way to hold my head that didn't hurt. And the beer I had for breakfast wasn't bad, So I had one more for dessert. Then I fumbled in my closet through my clothes And found my cleanest dirty shirt. Then I washed my face and combed my hair And stumbled down the stairs to meet the day. I'd smoked my mind the night before With cigarettes and songs I'd been picking. But I lit my first and watched a small kid Playing with a can that he was kicking. Then I walked across the street And caught the Sunday smell of someone frying chicken. And Lord, it took me back to something that I'd lost Somewhere, somehow along the way. On a Sunday morning sidewalk, I'm wishing, Lord, that I was stoned. 'Cause there's something in a Sunday That makes a body feel alone. And there's nothing short a' dying That's half as lonesome as the sound Of the sleeping city sidewalk And Sunday morning coming down. In the park I saw a daddy With a laughing little girl that he was swinging. And I stopped beside a Sunday school And listened to the songs they were singing. Then I headed down the street, And somewhere far away a lonely bell was ringing, And it echoed through the canyon Like the disappearing dreams of yesterday. HA HA............reckon I'm ready for gudgie land now.................. :crazy07:

  18. OK OK OK I'll type it out in full in case mixed messages are coming across I regret to inform you that due to the late change of shirt sponsorship to Flybe we now expect there to be a delay in the arrival of the commemorative away shirt. All shirt manufacturers require long lead time and unfortunately, in production terms, the change came at the worst possible time. The Flybe sponsorship offers the club the benefits of a national sponsor whilst at the same time retaining Lifescan as the sponsor of the clubs community and youth programmes. We hope to have the shirts here by the end of August and will distribute them to you as soon as they arrive. As they are part of the same order as the playing kit please be assured that the team won't be wearing the kit before you do. I apologise for any inconvenience caused. Please accept the enclosed voucher as a token of the appreciation for your continued support and understanding on this matter. (?10 voucher) signed by the sales manager

  20. Letter today from club saying that due to change of shirt sponsors to Flybe, the shirt manufacturers need a bit longer to get them off the production line. Expect shirts to arrive by end of August, team shirts in same order so they won't have them either. :029:
