Jim McIntyre Not Going, Not Going...........
I take my hat off. Amazing how a post on this site can get County moving and Jimbo is now on course for Manager of the Month.

PITCH INSPECTION GAME OFF
Excellent news. That means the rest of today will be very sunny and dry. Seriously it does make sense. Hope not too many Raith or ICT supporters in transit. We will now get to see who either Raith or ourselves will get in the Semi. Raith have a long trip to Queen of the South next weekend so with our game against Dundee United off then, it might be more likely on Tuesday rather than Saturday.TV money maybe?

Great credit to the two compliance officers. In democratic societies, we all support natural justice having an appeals process. However, there are ethical questions about Dundee United supporting two appeals for the same player involved in alleged ''Violent Conduct by grabbing an opposing player by his face'' (Graeme Shinnie) and ''Excessive misconduct at a match by seizing hold of an Assistant Referee, namely Gavin Harris, by the throat'' and in the latest incident ' committed an act of Violent Conduct and deliberately struck an opposing player upon his neck or head with your arm'. So what was not proven? He did not commit an act. It was not violent conduct. It was not deliberate. It was not an opposing player. He struct Gary's shoulder or left arm. He struct his ICT shirt. Has the SFA given detail of what was not proven? See my underlining below: ''Scotland's referees have reacted angrily to what they see as the lenient sentence handed down to Nadir Ciftci amid fears they could repeat their strike action of 2010. The Dundee United frontman was issued with a two-match penalty — one suspended until the end of the season — for ‘excessive misconduct’ towards assistant referee Gavin Harris during a League Cup tie in October. He had originally faced charges of ‘seizing hold’ of Harris ‘by the throat’ but that was downgraded to read ‘placing an open hand into the lower area of the assistant referee’s throat’ — allowing the SFA to impose a reduced punishment. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2518208/Nadir-Ciftcis-lenient-sentence-sends-wrong-message-footballers-say-referees.html#ixzz3TgnSj5Pb '' That would seem to suggest a player can ''place an open hand into the lower area of the assistant referee’s throat'' and not get sent off. SFA rules are that you will get a yellow card.

Second major incident against ICT. Second time he has avoided a fair punishment.

Replacement Striker?
Signing two international players to replace one should be good business. They both appear very decent individuals.

Replacement Striker?
10 league games to go so competition can only be good for us if we sign two players with international experience. Eddie looked very good on Saturday so should keep his place this weekend. Marley has to come back so I suspect Danny Williams will drop out. He wasted a glorious chance to give us the lead when he went past the keeper and then gifted it to the keeper. Nick has looked very good recently so Yogi has a difficult decision to make. It would be too risky to bring Tarmo in against Raith because we cannot afford time to adapt to another new player in such a key match. Who knows, we might even get Billy back on loan!!!!

Jim Goodwin would have felt aggrieved if the notice had not been served. I actually felt Cifti's aggressive push on Shinnie into Meekings in the first half was potentially very dangerous too. There again, grabbing Shinnie by the neck and assaulting a linesman was deemed a minor offence in the League Cup. It is tempting to say he will get what he deserves but his Manager needs to take a long hard look at his coaching and management skills and approach too.

Dundee Utd -V- Inverness CT
There were two dangerous incidents involving Cifti - neither involved him grabbing the linesman by the throat as we clearly saw in Inverness (it was right in front of me) and for which he got off amazingly lightly. The first where he blatantly shoves Shinnie into Meekings. That had real potential for injury and went unpunished. The second is clearly leading with the elbow on Warren.

WARREN RED CARD
Cheaty was at it all night. It was reminiscent of Magennis on the Saturday. Two players committing numerous fouls and the referee picking on those committing one foul. Christie booked for a shirt pull and others tripping him quite dangerously and not even getting a lecture. Ciftci did significant refereeing himself. Warren's first booking was like a mob attack on the referee by the United players. Murray clearly had not seen the offence or else he would have taken action had there been reason. I would love to see his report ...'Booked Paton and then after pleas from the United players I decided to book Warren as well. Not sure why. I did not see any offence.' I always feel refereeing is a difficult job but Murray last night did not have things under control.

He nearly signed for Southend but went to the wrong departure airport. Maybe some of the now departed County Dutch contingent convinced him that Tain had a cheap Airport so he could just be waiting for his flight.

Update: Auditors raise new 'going concern' questions over Rangers' engine room company 17 February 2015 http://www.heraldscotland.com/news/home-news/auditors-raise-new-going-concern-questions-over-rangers-engine-room-company.118632960 ''Whyte and his associate, Aiden Earley, have argued that former chief executive Charles Green was working alongside them and that they, consequently, are the rightful owners. Rangers directors have consistently insisted the claims are of no merit.''

St Mirren -V- Inverness CT
Very tough game next Saturday. Killie do look a very good side and their result against Dundee United was very good.

manager of the month, january
Disaster!! Why could it not have been yon Celtic Manager? St Mirren have not won at home all season and will think 'the curse' will hit ICT again.

Jim McIntyre Not Going, Not Going...........
Jimbo is on a bit of a shoogly peg at the moment. This week he is predicting 'Ross County are good enough to survive' and ' has admitted his team must start picking up points quickly'. Ironically Jim and Diddy Doddsy joined the wee County with 'The duo inheriting a County side who prop up the standings after losing their opening five matches. County’s next match is at home to third-bottom Motherwell on Saturday.' Since then they have gone round in a big circle and let other teams escape from them. Whilst we have to be really on our toes against St Mirren, County will be in quite serious trouble if they lose to Motherwell for the second time under Jimbo. After their annual culling of and then recruitment of players even their chairman agrees that in future they will try and follow the example of their neighbours and seek stability. That would suggest that Jimbo will be safe if as seems likely they get relegated. The problem for them next season is that they may have to recruit vitually a full squad. So the new dynamic duo might just start almost from scratch. Before the Aberdeen game Jimbo ''...concedes that Ross County cannot afford to slip further behind in the race to avoid relegation.'' Requero messed up that message by gifting Rooney with a poke in. In between Adams exit and McIntyre's appointment they lost 4-0 to Hamilton with the Daily Record saying 'County, a disparate, leaderless bunch of wandering soldiers, looking like they still needed name badges to find out who they were passing to.' Out of sympathy, we gave them two precious points this season in an attempt to stabilise them but they seem incapable of repaying that gratitude and surviving. Are there any ICT supporters who believe County are good enough to survive this season?
