  1. Just back from an overnight in Perth!! Apparently Professor Willie Short, Dundee University, warned United that undersized organic items such as low grass need extra heat. United were aware of this research finding but did not measure the grass length when they put a few quid in the meter on Thursday morning. Consequently they did not consider covering the area that caused the postponement or providing it with sufficient heat to meet SPFL rules. Expect a notice of complaint from the Compliance Officer and a 2 game ban for the Groundsman.
  2. From the highlights Billy's goals look superb. That said, the team must have played well in adverse circumstances. We are very lucky to have a player of Billy's calibre at the club.
  3. http://sport.stv.tv/football/scottish-premier/304680-the-133-premiership-players-out-of-contract-at-end-of-the-season/ Ross County are now officially back top of the league ..................................with the most players out of contract at the end of this season i.e. 17 That makes motivation quite difficult.
  4. Good news at long last from over the bridge....................... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/30698891
  5. Nick and Liam do not need to leave. They are in the same situation as Danny Devine. There are players currently playing better than them in the first team. Ryan Christie has only recently become a fairly regular first team player. Injuries, suspensions creating opportunities and improved substitute or other appearances can change a player's career. Moving is another option but not all moves are successful as we are well aware.
  6. The club are trying everything to attract fans - any new thoughts on this initiative?
  7. He is playing very well and it is a credit to the Club that despite poor attendances we can still keep very good players.
  8. We are very dangerous when we attack!! I thought we made a great recovery today after three tough games. However, St Mirren is not an easy game this Sunday. We may have won in the Cup but we cannot take them for granted. As for County today, apart from the lapses of concentration that lead to Brill pushing the ball onto the post and then sleeping for the corner, County were luck not to concede more. Fair play to Roguero. Their support today was poor given their precarious position. I did not detect a fighting spirit. Brittain was a poor captain and his substitution epitomised a club who will now fight out bottom spot with St Mirren even if Big Roy authorises the annual January sack and spend recruitment campaign. Let's hope we do get moving because we have an inordinate amount of away games coming up.
  9. Has to be Considine's push on Richie in the final few minutes at Celtic Park that stopped him heading the winner and us winning our first big national cup. We were that close!!! Aberdeen should have had a player sent off and ICT awarded a late penalty. But that is football. It was a spectacular day out. On another front, it has to be Yogi's ability to keep smiling. Football management is massively stressful but Yogi keeps on smiling. No other SPL Manager can match him. Off topic a little bit, my favourite non ICT moment was discovering that the ICT Hitler video of Derek Adams was in fact a very accurate representation of his total gurning and authoritarian nature. Second favourite was Terry Butcher being exposed just as IHE had psycho-analysed.
  10. There is no disgrace losing to the League Champions!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. http://sport.stv.tv/football/clubs/st-johnstone/304683-st-johnstone-accept-two-match-ban-offered-to-brian-graham-for-diving/ St Johnstone have accepted that their employee dived to get a penalty to secure three points and a win bonus. No word yet if they are forfeiting the points as a goodwill out of court settlement.
  12. using one of those old heavy leather balls from the 1950s.... I go with that. It would provide better half time entertainment and be more successful hits than 'Shoot the Boot!!'
  13. I would describe St Johnstone as a very fair and honest club. However, they do have a responsibility to keep their employees under control. At some stage, a governing body will be forced, like the Bosman ruling, into compensating a company such as Inverness Caledonian Football Club Limited. Technically the SFA can award points for various reasons. In business, causing instant damage to the company or employer by an employee's misconduct, can be subject to instant dismissal. If that position had been made clear to Graham, his dive might have been less theatrical.
  14. ...and this is partly why he resigned http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/2014-rangers-agm-recap-live-4851852 Some classic humour from the Rangers fans after yet another week of turmoil.
  15. Are you Yogi in disguise? No and nor am I Boo Boo!! Graham has been charged under Disciplinary Rule 201, which states “No player shall cause a match official to make an incorrect decision…….by an act of simulation which results in that player’s team being awarded a penalty kick…….”
  16. Remember that the referee was cheated too!! It is slightly unfair to criticise the referee who had just a split second to make a decision.
  17. TV evidence showing the Graham dive should result in a notice of complaint. Scottish and world football has to stop players conning referees.
  18. Last year we took quite a few beatings - Celtic, Dundee United but the first was away to St Johnstone 4-0 on the weekend when I think Butcher knew he and Mo were potentially heading to Easter Road. So last week's result is made harder by the need to visit St Johnstone this Saturday. They are playing very well at present so maybe 0-0 might be a good result!
  19. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/30508476 Tom Aldred just off target................
  20. With Motherwell apparently upsetting Big Terry, and forcing him to withdraw, does anyone think he actually feels more confident that he can complete the treble relegation trick at St Mirren? Motherwell look too strong to go down.
  21. CELTIC1CALEY3 replied to a post in a topic in Caley Thistle
The problem each year is the Christmas Party. Newcastle, Dublin, have lead to months of despair. We can but hope that Yogi is aware of this form dip cause and puts the team up in Dingwall for the Xmas 2014 party. Entertainment will be provided buy Derek Adams the magician.
  22. Good to see the public purse offering free flights home from his Mexican holiday for Craig Whyte and a warm bed for the night in his home City. This at a time when his beloved Rangers are in desperate need of £8m to stay afloat and when administration might now really benefit Mike Ashley. This has been a profitable year for Poundland but it must be hell for thousands of very devoted fans.
  23. Through ball to Billy was from Dave the Rave!! Brilliantly weighted.
  24. We are currently going through a privileged phase in our history in terms of management, players and backroom staff. Believe!
