  1. Once he masters dancing around keepers and slotting the ball in the net he will be worth a fortune. The problem for other clubs is that few play our style of football with such a tiddler up front taking all the stick and running all day. Meantime let us enjoy because he clearly is a top talent which we at least recognise.
  2. Looked like Grant was forever out of position yesterday. Mark bundled over Mackay Steven, then dives the wrong way for the penalty. A very good 6th away win!!
  3. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jsna-lPv7OI Now Terry gets an award!!! Well done. Let's now focus on the Aberdeen game. It will be the toughest yet this season so no resting on laurels. We do not want MacInnes to get the award in September.
  4. Massively difficult game next Saturday, but well done today.

  6. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8baqCGD4kr4&feature=youtube_gdata Brilliant news. However, stay focussed on the Killie game, and let someone else from the club win it in September.
  7. A lot depends not just on footballing skills but increasingly on financial skills. Remember the parlous state Dunfermline got themselves into last year during the campaign. Our next game against Killie is very important for both teams. If Killie win, that eases pressure on a pretty inexperienced Manager. Lose and the legs will wobble a bit more and the Killie fans will start getting vociferous again about the Board. Heffernan's transfer was quite interesting. He questioned it himself. The suggestion was it was to free up a high wage. Michael Gardyne is a loannee. So cash saved there. I believe Killie suggested Heffernan could not play alongside Porky the Boxer up front. Killie's finances are probably worse than Dunfermline's and they operate a model very similar I believe with Chairman's guarantee on debt. I could be wrong but even they had issues last year about attendances and cash flow suggesting all was not well behind the scenes. So if we can beat them, they are my tip to go down because in terms of risk under the fair play rules, they are most likely this season to go into administration and be deducted 10 points. We do not know where the Hearts saga will end and whilst they played well against us they have some major financial hurdles to climb. With such a youthful squad, sustaining 34 more league games when the hammerings start to come, as they inevitably will, their great escape will not be easy. They are massively reliant on about 4 experienced players (especially their keeper) some of whom may be subject to bids in the next window. They are ripe for cherry picking. So Hearts remain in a very precarious position.
  8. Paddy Attabookies, the Irish Number Two, is often here watching our Irish lads. On 14 January Djebi-Zadi 2008 made his starting debut for Caley on Terry Butcher's first game against Celtic F.C. creating speculation he could be a big player for the rest of the season. Although Terry convinced Lionel that if he kept playing as he did in his first few games, his National Manager would watch him, I am not sure if Pierre Le Moray-Firth as Terry described the French number two to Lionel, actually entered the Stadium.
  9. Well, the Tommy Chisholm stand sounds good to me. Tommy, you will have studied the finances of Scottish football, noticed the lack of a league sponsor this year, noticed attendances not linked to top of the league expectations, so to suggest you will raise the cash for a fourth stand is honorable. In addition for you then to raise money each year for maintenance is even better. Are you a philanthropist or just a lottery winner looking to put something back into the city?
  10. ...Billy is basically worth a hundred thousand fish suppers plus a few pies and drinks. I hope he now gets a game for NI and scores there - he deserves an international goal as a reward for being so unassuming.
  11. Hamill is potentially subject to two appeals - one by Raith that he fell down like Neil Lennon did against Juanjo, and yesterday. He potentially cheated against Raith to get a player sent off and feigned injury yesterday against Aaron who was booked - two incidents potentially of cheating. However, he looks incredibly hard done by from TV evidence. There is a sense of justice in some respects but also one of injustice and an appeal here should be successful in my opinion.

  13. Hearts have been incredible so far this season. Even with suspensions and possible injuries their record so far is as Terry says, just below ICT's. The cup win showed how they are refusing to be relegated this season. By definition it is our hardest game of the season and we need last week's starting 11 ready to go. The subs nearly pulled us ahead of Celtic in their short time on the Park last Saturday and I would hope they both get a chance this Saturday. I hope it is not because we are trailling though.
  14. Justice at last - Wilson suspended against ICT!! McHattie appeal likely but the BBC seem to show he got the ball but wrestled the boy over to get to it.
  15. Having just returned from the game, let know one do a disservice to our players by suggesting this was a weak Celtic Team. Certain 'stars' were missing but the credentials of those who took their place were very impressive. Our players worked their socks off and it is an enormous credit to them that they are the first team to take a point off Celtic at Celtic Park after Celtic achieved 13 straight league victories. The previous team to get points at Celtic Park were...........ICT. Now encourage more people to next weeks game against Hearts. That will be a very difficult game.

  18. Celtic apparently stayed in 5 star luxury in Kazakstan. In addition they chartered a jumbo with double bed seating according to ITV4 today so will be back in Glasgow early tomorrow. The main problem they have is that they were too cocky today so must now win at Celtic Park on Wednesday 28th or I am sure many of their players will feel the season will have little challenge left. I hope that they now focus entirely on next Wednesday as an absolute must win game or they may lose £20m according to commentators. That said, they sent their reserves out in Inverness last season on their Euro campaign and gave us a doing. He who dares wins this Saturday. Their defence does look vulnerable through the middle.
  19. The is a press release just in from Dingwall explaining County's new long term strategy. It reads 'Derek Adams confirms that his confidence was sky high when a reporter caught up with the Ross County convoy at Ballinluig on the way to their opening day jolly in Glasgow 'It's the opening day of the season, the flag gets unfurled for the champions, and we provide a guard of honour for them.'' However, he admits that after the next game against Partick he confirmed that the game was the lowest in his career in Dingwall. 'Our groundsman cut the grass too low and we could still see the sand!' He has now also confirmed he did indicate last week (quite wrongly as it turned out) that 'Richie Brittain can handle the heat' and then after the crushing defeat after some fisticuffs in the dressing room 'Derek Adams challenges senior players to stop leaking goals.' Derek adds 'After three defeats in a row for the mighty Staggies after a great pre-season jolly to Holland at the millionaire chairman's expense, I said 'Dad, what do I do next?' as I held back the tears. Dad said 'Son, why not play a few games where the grass is always greener.'
  20. What is remarkable about the start is that it looked massively difficult. We will all be pretty sober if Celtic hump us and we underestimate Hearts. It was great to see our modest crowd so supportive of the team. Richie was immense. Let's hope the PF has little to go on.
  21. Barrowman needs to find a real job and learn real work, He has got himself into this position by a lack of graft.
