True. Expires 21 December 2012. Details were in the Courier.

McGhee cemented Gary Kenneth to the heart of their defence and placed Riordan on the bench as opposed to in front of the bench for aimless runs. Sadly one must question the judgement of the Rovers chairman. McGhee in January 2012 said "I'm quite nervous but I hope the nerves show that I'm not complacent and thinking that it's going to be easy," while Chairman Nick Higgs added: "Mark sold himself very well. He's not coming here for a stepping stone to get back into his career, he wants to come here and re-build the club. We've reached a low ebb and we need to move forward." 14 December 2012 ''I never imagined in a million years that, at any stage this season, we would be in the relegation zone. "It's a shock to my system as much as anybody else's." '' On 1 December 2010 'Mark McGhee sacked as boss of Aberdeen' with the BBC reminding everyone 'his tenure began with an 8-1 aggregate defeat - their heaviest ever in Europe - to Czech outfit Sigma Olomouc and they ended the season in ninth place in the SPL. Following this season's humiliating defeat by Celtic (9-0), lengthy discussions were held between McGhee and the board. Despite strong indications that the manager was about to be sacked, he remained in post with both sides stressing their determination to improve both on and off the park.'' The Telegraph reported ''Mark McGhee’s 18-month spell in charge of Aberdeen came to its anticipated end on Wednesday night with a brief announcement from the Pittodrie chairman, Stewart Milne, who had granted his beleaguered manager a stay of execution three weeks ago after the worst defeat in the club’s history.''

It was no yolk yesterday after 9 minutes. The boys looked shell shocked. Both Josh and Graeme felt like turkeys. Then Billy put three in the nest. For the first he did not duck. The second he kept down. The penalty gained after Ross swanned through a flood. The ICT supporters began to chirp. Gary rose like an eagle from his warren. He is no chicken. This was eggsiting stuff from the boys in blue. Butcher's flock don't know when they are Beaton, but Beaton they were not, despite the ref spotting a pen in the scramble. Daly had poached a point after ICT's early roasting.

Agent Tokely - once a Caley player, always a Caley player. Blatant penalty. Good refereeing. Tremendous scope for him to be a professional boxer or wrestler when he retires. If he could get Ross County relegated on the last day of the season, that would be a glorious double for him.

Just out of interest and taking Terry's little game with our players before the Aberdeen game, what sort of dog is Adams? Could it be http://www.masterfile.com/stock-photography/image/608-03473063/A-dog-holding-an-I-Am-Lost-sign

County's next five games Dundee Home - nil points Celtic away - nil points Hibernian away - nil points Hearts home - draw one puny point Inverness home - 7-0 win to home team. Three valuable points. Dundee's next five games Ross County away- three points Inverness away - hopefully nil points Celtic home - not a hope Aberdeen home - three points St Johnstone away - one point So the moral of this story is that when we next play County we must not let them beat us 7-0 in order for Dundee to edge above them in the table. Ross County can at least concentrate on the relegation battle now they are out of both cups.
-
To be fair to County a defeat to Dundee would create some anxiety over the Bridge. We then entertain them with Nish back after suspension so we would need to be careful. County are drifting into the relegation zone with Celtic to follow Dundee.

Ex Liverpool Reserve Captain settling into a determined group of players, staff and management keen to beat the odds. Amazing what confidence does to a good player then compare with Adam Rooney's apparent decline.

We have never had it so good at this level.

One small unforgotten hero in all this was Meekings who nodded the ball down to Foran for the equaliser.

Craig Thomson has now been accused of adding on a few seconds for Celtic to get an equaliser at Dingwall, and a few seconds for ICT to come back from the dead.

I believe it is used as a function suite by the George and Derek Adams School of Silly Dancing.

Russell Anderson laying the ball off beautifully for Mackay's winner. A true gent. A Captain's pass. Foran yesterday was involved in all three Caley goals and got back to boot the ball off the line. That's Captain Fantastic.

Adams should fine Brittain and Vigurs for their elongated celebrations in front of the Caley fans when they went 3-2 up. He was so exhilarated that he did not see this on the day but his DVD will show these two players cost them the result on the day. Fair play to the referee that he added on time which by good fortune allowed us to charge up the other end and silence the home supporters. It reminded me of when Barry Robson scored a stunner against Kilmarnock with a minute to go and we went and celebrated while Gus MacPherson charged up the other end, crossed, and they gained a final kick equaliser. Technically Tokely could have been sent off for holding Richie's hand and directing his nose into the firing line and potentially stopping a clear goal scoring opportunity. Clear hand holding by Rossco.

One of the oldest con tricks in the book is to claim you have a flu bug affecting the squad. There should be no sympathy on that bit of psychology from anyone in Inverness. Motherwell have a very good record at the Caledonian Stadium and it is time we improved our record against them.

Our Captain and quite a few of our players are from Northern Ireland and Ireland. They will all be in Johnny Foxes on the 17th March.

Never underestimate the diddy teams. Celtic at home it will be. -
Communities Cup draw prediction for 26/27 Semis: Celtic V Hearts - They meet in the League on 19 January St Mirren v ICT - They meet in the league on 30 January If that happens, we may have to play it in Perth I suspect.

Who was our special dancer? I thought she took the sting out of the Rangers supporters at half time. Top class.

The management team and players were fantastic last night. Even the police horses seemed to smile for us as we made a discrete journey back on the Glasgow subway. This was one of the great nights in our history. I do hope the players are rewarded on future Saturdays with more support. Last night the players and management were exceptional. The end of January is a long time to wait for a Semi but for Aberdeen and Ross County the wait is much longer.
