  1. Fantastic result for Kilmarnock and a great day for Scottish Football. Disgraceful, undignified, greedy, and no place for such bad sportsmanship in Scottish Communities from Lennon. His club should discipline him.
  2. It will be a major motivator for ICT - this season we have lived in the shadow of Ross County. We will be pretty cautious in pre season and seek to make a better start. So it can only be good but to be fair to Smee it is a fair point because the SPL in general needs a lift. What eventually happens at Rangers could help in terms of competition. There again, the County will provide novelty value and boost interest in the SPL because of their location. Scotland's furthest north SPL ground has a railway station just yards from the ground. It should result in extra income for certain agencies dealing with the transfer in Inverness Station.
  3. Yes I saw this. Duff by name and Duff by nature. You pay them a fortune - allegedly £800 odd per hour - and they bodge it up.
  4. Did the Brahan Seer predict the County crash ? - ''Another prediction is that concerning the Canonry of Ross, which is still standing --"The day will come when, full of the Mackenzies, it will fall with a fearful crash"
  5. Should the vote note include the question 'If we survive a late Dunfermline charge and beat Ross County home and away next year?'
  6. After today's result I have to congratulate the Staggies on an amazing undefeated run. They now deserve to be Champions. Hats off to them. They will prove formidable opposition next year in the SPL.
  7. In total denial - 'we have done nothing wrong, it was the responsibility of Harry's dog, the SFA, Bernie the Bolt'............., 'we is victims, we is' http://www.rangersmedia.co.uk/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=642:punishing-the-victim&catid=103:board&Itemid=531 Basically saying the world had a duty to warn David Murray that Craig Whyte had been a disqualified director and was not likely to be judged a fit person when it was discovered.
  8. Fantastic news for Motherwell if they do not bottle it to play Champions League next season.
  9. Hayes it is. He appeared to move as far away from O'Connor in case he fell on top of him and as well as that problem had far more players in front of him than Robben.
  10. Simple - Richard Hastings golden goal in the CONCATENAF Cup Final
  11. No chance of the title - players cannot get to work on time. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-highlands-islands-17189717
  12. It was poor, but we were playing a team belonging to a club with massive liabilities, questions about asset ownership, and which appears clearly insolvent. Where are the administrators going to find funny money to provide the cash to run the club. It is a club subject to a range of high level investigations. This may have been that club's zenith. This may have been their finest result in a 140 year history. Should they collapse on Tuesday or Wednesday, we will see how they have historically beaten teams like ourselves. Escaping the goldfish bowl of Glasgow for the fresh air of the Highlands, they had nothing to lose today. Fast forward three or four days and then we can reflect on the result. Terry though must be realistic and unlike a few years back not assume we are virtually safe from relegation.
  13. My money is that County will blow it. They normally win in Dundee but I expect them to lose this Saturday and topple off the top. Dundee have more drive than any club to win with Ross County a very wealthy club now slipping gently down the greasy pole.
  14. Next week could be very tense. There is a lot of criticism on the web concerning the apparent sectarian singing yesterday. It will be interesting next Sunday if the away support do breach UEFA regulations and Scottish Law to see what happens. For instance, could the referee stop and potentially abandon a game if there is a breach? Chick Young may find our singing silence does not in fact help the away team. This must be a difficult week for Terry and the lads in terms of preparation. Ideally they block out what happens and focus on winning after our disappointing result last time around. Kilmarnock showed concentration is all. We need a result and as Terry has indicated before, football takes place on grass, not on a calculator or in the media. This is a big game for us and we need our supporters to show real support for the club and city.
  15. Just get the feeling Ross County are getting a bit nervous as the chasing pack up a gear. So many of our supporters want some festive cheer derby entertainment next season and they are beginning to run out of steam methinks.
  16. This is inspirational so far. Time for the players to win a game for Chris Hogg.
  17. The last thing we do is underestimate Dunfermline. The year we were relegated, Terry kept saying we are almost safe. We never got there. A win for Dunfermline next week would create real danger for us and lift Dunfermline. It is a game we must not lose. The aim is to get as many points as possible or not to lose as many as possible. We now have Williams out next week.
  18. Alf Ramsay and Terry share the same genes. Terry's dog has a German name and as far as we know does not have an off shore bank account to deposit the odd bone Tommy throws his way to keep him off the pitch. Clearly two disadvantages over 'arry. Terry is also articulate and can write. 'arry is marginally better at East End English than Fabio. England don't do articulate Managers.
  19. I fear for the team - this is three points we desperately need. Celtic are home and dry for the title so conceding a few penalties to us and having an off day could do them good. Regardless of the result - a big defeat would be painful to take to Dunfermline - the Dunfermline game is a massive game. Let's hope everyone plays out of their skins for 97 minutes and Celtic are jaded. Sadly I think this may be wishful thinking.
  20. Ask not what the club can do for you, but ask what you can do for the club.
  21. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/16710949 The Pompey Experience.
  22. This is a complex issue because the facts are not currently transparent. This is exacerbated by the latest news http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/rangers/9052393/Craig-Whyte-delays-publication-of-Rangers-holding-company-accounts.html Depending on the level of debt and the status of each creditor will possibly determine what happens at Ibrox. As February advances I suspect the pressure on Rangers will increase significantly. Whether the real threat of administration begins to affect player performance will be interesting. HMRC may be meticulous in their work across different investigations or may decide to cut their potential losses by moving quickly. We do not know how the Club is being run. If it collapses financially it may instantly have to cancel player contracts. Pompey and Dundee offer two examples of what might happen. Gretna and others offer further examples but none will be identical in terms of the end result. The biggest losers if Rangers do implode might well be Celtic. They are more dependent on Rangers than we are. In theory there will be better competition in the SPL which would be fantastic and might increase crowds around the country especially if Rangers supporters spent money at their local clubs. We do not know what effect it would have on TV contracts. From a personal point of view, it will be seen as a breath of fresh air. Living well beyond ones means is a form of cheating in my book. ICT operate a well managed club like many clubs nowadays and it will be this style that maintains football in this country.
  23. As someone myself who was allegedly once on the radar of Swindon in Bert Head's days, can I say the above assessment is very fair. Lee will focus on his football and is determined to be a success. We have been able to rehabilitate many players e.g. Barry Robson at Middlesborough. Lee is now able to tough it out with the best of players and is fearless in a tackle. I was not. He also has a good engine on him. He is very fair in tackles and bookings seem rare.
  24. Just over half way gone and the mighty Staggies remain one of the best teams in Scotland. Does anyone see the wheels coming off their drive to the SPL?
