  1. Apart from the transfer window, the next few weeks could be quite lean on this site. So let's start our own game. Question Number 1 - Mark Brown is known for his inability to save penalties but against which leading team did he keep ICT level with a top penalty save? Question Number 2 - Which former ICT player has the nickname 'The Butcher' because of his sturdy tackling? Question Number 3 - This former ICT Midfielder joined a Saudia Arabian team and then returned to his roots? Question Number 4 - Which ICT player was Ian McCall describing ...'' without a doubt the best distributor of a ball from defence, bar none" Question Number 5 - Name the four Robertson's to have been on the ICT books. Question Number 6 - How many MacDonalds have been on the books as opposed to Campbells? Question Number 7 - Who scored the winner for Falkirk in May 2009 to ensure our relegation? Question Number 8 - This ex Ross County and ICT player is now playing centre half for Dover Athletic. Question Number 9 - How many ex-ICT players have captained their full international side? Question Number 10 - Name the best 11 players who have played for Ross County and Inverness.

  3. We have to accept that both ICT management and players will attract attention. There is no money to be gained directly from working for ICT - we do not have the fan base or TV and other sponsorship. With Barnsley the extra pay and relocation hassle if Terry is tempted will probably result in Division 1 football next year. Well he does have experience of rebuilding from Division 1 but that may not happen again so quickly. For some though the challenge will be about 'I can turn things around'. If Terry was talking to himself he would say ' you can earn good money in the short term but if things go wrong your managerial career could end up on the scrap heap. You are happy in the Highlands and are close to your best year ever as a manager. If you still remain ambitious, go to a more fashionable club.'
  4. "Hopefully the derby match can go ahead and we pick up three points." http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20843079
  5. http://www.maxifoot.fr/football/article-17521.htm With a goal every 64 minutes, Lionel Messi is on another planet this season. Who are the most effective strikers in Europe? In other championships, we note the good performance of Oscar Cardozo (Benfica, 71 min / goal), Billy McKay (Inverness, 88 min / goal), Billy, we need you back in form against the Staggies!!!
  6. Great guy, with great skill, he is clearly learning how tough the SPL is. He would be a superb addition to the team on a permanent basis.
  7. He didnae score but he was on the bench -- Roman Golabart for Wigan in their 3-0 away win against the Villa.
  8. The players should take a bow - this has been a remarkable season so far. We are being shot at but we have held in there. It is vital we do not underestimate the Staggies. They look pretty safe this season but we must raise our game on Wednesday. Their result against Hibs looks mighty impressive.
  9. Happy Head Banging 54th Birthday Doctor Butcher!
  10. Never ever count chickens before they hatch. If we do overcome Hearts and they will be desperate for a second final in less than a year, there will be no problem getting a ticket unless Celtic or St Mirren want a ridiculous amount. ICT do have travel coaches but I am sure some kind supporter would have one spare seat. Single train travel to Glasgow is about £11.50 plus the cost to Hampden and back to Airport. The game is on Sunday at 3.00 pm. With extra time and penalties it might not finish until nearer 6. Getting to the Airport might be problematic with St Mirren or Celtic supporters joining the rush. Look forward to the Ross County game and see what happens.
  11. Has there been any response from over the Bridge or are they waiting in ambush for the classic counter attack on 2 January? Hopefully the Highland News use it if we come out unscathed.
  12. Could be joined by Grant and Rossco given the players Adams is trying to source.
  13. '....there is no expectation at our football club.' http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20779080

  15. Scotland's PFA Manager of 2011/12 said : "I think looking at them training this week the pressure has been taken off them a bit because they're going to Celtic Park and they're not expected to win the match." Another correct prediction. "We didn't defend well enough straight after half-time and were 2-0 down after seven minutes of the second-half. We try and copy what Inverness do but coming back from 2-0 is as likely as finding a Ross County player living in and enjoying the nightlife of Dingwall. They all live in Inverness.''
  16. St Mirren will seek to tight mark him. This will be a great challenge for him to score 8 league games in a row.

Owen will surely get another chance in the Welsh team with current performances. We are very privileged to see the class of our players this season.
  18. Adams after the Celtic match today "As I keep on saying, we have taken a team from the village and we've put them on the map'' That almost suggests Rossco is a village idiot. Not fair I hear you say. Mind you, he was not risked against Celtic.
  19. The taxi drivers of Inverness are up for the grand prix. Craig Whyte lives just down the road when he is not in Monaco. Which reminds me, does Monaco have an equivalent to Porterfield?
  20. Celtic meet Juventus on Tuesday 12 February 2013. This is how they reacted: ' Celtic manager Neil Lennon said: ''In terms of glamour it's a beauty; in terms of qualification it's going to be very, very tough. We have a bruiser of a game with Inverness on Saturday 9 February however we are desperate to beat Juventus on the Tuesday. Let's hope the Caledonian Stadium is warm and inviting for our visit. In terms of glamour, those peasants up north do cause us trouble from time to time. It's a huge game to enjoy and relish and anything can happen over two legs. We won the first dual 4-3'' '
  21. C'est une cracker as Lionel would say. http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?q=chicken+v+egg&num=10&hl=en&tbo=d&biw=1024&bih=655&tbm=isch&tbnid=M5Wlf4jM0GTPQM:&imgrefurl=http://mixof26letters.wordpress.com/category/visibility/&docid=fxq85r8RASV8yM&imgurl=http://mixof26letters.files.wordpress.com/2011/02/chicken-egg2.jpg&w=326&h=453&ei=if3TUIe0IMGi0QWZqYH4Ag&zoom=1&iact=hc&vpx=4&vpy=265&dur=5672&hovh=265&hovw=190&tx=57&ty=150&sig=101089285988274895087&page=1&tbnh=142&tbnw=80&start=0&ndsp=22&ved=1t:429,r:16,s:0,i:136
  22. Is Billy Mackay the Highlands own 'Lionel Nessi'? He is a centimetre taller but earns something like 10m euros less per year than his namesake. Messi's partner is Antonella Roccuzzo but Lionel Billy Nessi needed Antonio Reguero in the team before he started scoring. Messi is compared with Ronaldo, Xavi and Iniesta. Lionel Billy Nessi is currently compared to ...well Craig Dargo. Messi's dad was a steelworker. Billy Nessi comes from Corby. Messi was diagnosed with growth hormone deficiency. Billy Nessi used to have a problem but with Owen Tudor and Ross Draper in the side he can get up above all opposing centre halves using the Maurice Malpas Piggy Back move at set pieces. Potentially the big difference between Messi and Nessi is that Lionel cannot understand a word that Richie Foran says. There again, Billy Nessi is now scoring freely because he ignores his captain's request to pass or leave it. Long may this continue.
  23. Questions in advance of the game on the 2nd: When was the last time Rossco was sent off? Second, having been booked, then committed a few dodgy fouls in the Cup Replay, why was Rossco hooked at half time? Third question, what did Charlie Christie say to Boner?
  24. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20743409 ''Ross County manager Derek Adams described his side's draw with Dundee as the Staggies' "worst performance" in the league so far this season. Iain Davidson's impressive first-half strike was cancelled out by Gary Glen's goal for County after the break. "I don't think we played well enough, passed the ball well enough," Adams told BBC Scotland. "We didn't work [goalkeeper] Rab Douglas enough. I still think we had the better opportunities to win." Adams felt Davidson's goal had come "out of the blue" and was disappointed County were unable to snatch a winner late on. "If there was going to be a winner on pressure, then it was always going to be us but Dundee were always capable on the counter-attack," he added. '' Mr Adams added that in the next three games they would Bash the Buoys, humiliate the Hibees (where he had been Colin Calderwood's strategist), and hump Hearts. A spokesperson for County said Mr Adams was still sore from the banter dished out by Inverness Caledonian Thistle supporters at their City based ground during the cup reply which ICT were very lucky to win. Mr Adams and his dad, known to Dingwallites as the Addams Family, was unavailable for comment.
  25. Raven mad at the last minute penalty.
